Google Pixel 2 XL Unboxing

Hello YouTube and thank you for joining me. I'm really excited about today's unboxing, because guess what came in the mail today, the Google Pixel, XL, ? and yeah I know there's been a lot of bad press about the screen. Different issues coming up for different people, but I have to say I'm still pretty excited about this I'll. Let everyone know my thoughts on the screen at deep. I, take a look at it. Have it loaded and do my review video, but in the meantime, let's get to the unboxing.

So we got the front of the box. Has an image of the back of the pixel 2xl on the side has a side profile and the back is just team pixel hashtag. So let's get right into the unboxing. Ok. So let's talk a little about what we got here with the pixel 2 XL.

This is an aluminum and glass design comes in 64 and 128 gigabytes. This, of course, is the hundred and twenty-eight gigabyte model. It has a six-inch PIO LED screen, quad HD 1440 by 2880 538 PPI I'll, get to the'm wrapping the phone in a second we've got Gorilla Glass, 5, ip67 rated for dust and water and something that I'm very excited about the dual stereo front facing speaker. So let's go ahead and unbox the phone here, very nice, very, very nice. As you can see the dual front-facing speakers.

Here's the back glass and aluminum fingerprint sensor has a little glossy g4, the Google symbol. This one was purchased from Google, so it is not a Verizon carrier model, god USB type-c on the bottom again, two front-facing speakers have your power and your volume rocker on the right hand, side nothing on the left. You've got your SIM card tray here on the left. Sorry about that and nothing but microphones on the front. A little of slight camera hump, and you've got your flash there.

So let's put this down and go through some more stats for the phone itself. While you look at it, it's got an always-on display and a now playing feature which identifies songs while they're playing in the background for you, and again it does sound a little creepy, but the songs are actually stored on the device itself, so nothing has ever transferred back and forth now see it's got a Snapdragon 835 shock rated at 2.35, gigahertz, four gigabytes of RAM and an adrenal 540 GPU. It comes with Android 8.0 out of the box. It has both a regular SIM card slot and an e SIM card ability. Here's the SIM card slot here, and that is for pretty much all of your carriers in the US, including Project Phi, which is Google's carrier.

Now the e sim has not been adopted by any of the keeping four major carriers here in the US, but it is a feature that is adopted for project five. So if you are on project fine getting this phone for that purpose, you can utilize the e sim capabilities, some downsides. There's no wireless charging, no headphone jack, USB type-c. It does come with an adapter, and we'll take a look at that. In a minute, the dimensions of the phone are 150, 7.9, millimeters tall. Seventy-six point, seven millimeters wide and seven point: nine millimeters thick total weight is a hundred and seventy-five grams.

It really doesn't feel that heavy, it's nice and light, and I think that's due to the aluminum frame battery size is three thousand five hundred twenty Williams per hour, and it is a non-removable battery. Let's see what else is in the box here, so we've got this here, which contains your normal paperwork, I'm sure, let's take a look at it: okay, SIM card ejection tray and some paperwork that usually comes with the phones inside we've got an adapter, looks like USB-C on one side and USB an on the other side, so that you can utilize this and when you're plugging into another phone, your old phone and transfer the information over through the wire itself see. We've got your USB-C to USB-C wire. Here, of course, the famous USB-C to 3.5 millimeter headphone dongle, because the phone does not have a headphone jack any longer. And then here is your standard.

USB C charging brick, and this does can't come with fast charging as well. Let's see now going on to the most famous part of the phone, as some of you may know, last year's pixel when it was released, achieved the highest rating by DXO, and this pixel too has also achieved the highest rating by DXO, which is an independent camera and photography rating company, and they rated this phone with a total score of 98, and I have to tell you that is the part that I'm most excited about is getting this phone out there and taking some pictures talking a little about the phone itself. The rear phone here is contrary to a lot of the competitors. This is only a single lens phone, or I'm. Sorry, a single camera phone versus a dual camera that you find on things like the iPhone 8 or the Samsung phones.

So this one has on the back a 12 point: two megapixel F 1.8 aperture lens with both oh, is and E is that's optical image, stabilization and electronic image stabilization. It's got phase detection and laser autofocus and dual LED flash on the back. The front-facing camera an 8-megapixel, F, 2.4, aperture camera and both the front and the back cameras can do portrait mode from video perspective. It shoots video at 4k at 30 frames per second 1080p can be shot at 30, 60 or 120 frames per second and 720p can be shot at 240 frames per second. The pixel to here comes in two colors, just black and black and white, which has been nicknamed the Panda color, and then the pixel two, which is a smaller version, comes in three colors that just black kind of blue and clearly white.

If you are interested in picking up the phone I'll include a link to the Google store in the description below of my video. Thank you and come back and subscribe and thumbs up and check out my other videos. Thank you very much. Bye.
