Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL: Hands-on Review By GSMArena Official

We've just heard the Google Pixel two devices launched here in San Francisco, along with several other Google home devices, what's going on guys, I'm working with GSM Viacom. Now, let's take a look at a Google's new pixel smartphones. Google had plenty to talk about today, including new Google, home features, new home devices and new features and updates to Google. Assistant Google has put a lot of effort into AI and machine learning and improving its own in-house services to take full advantage of Google's massive computing power. Let's get right into it. The Google Pixel 2 has a 5-inch 1080p display, while the pixel 2 XL has a larger 6-inch HD+ display.

The XL has a taller 18 by 9 aspect ratio and both phones use OLED panels, which pair well with the new always-on display feature. As a result, the standard 5-inch pixel 2 model has very large upper and lower bezels. So if you're, looking for a more cohesive, Hardware design, the pixel 2 excels taller display fills the hardware out more gracefully. These oversized bezels are not totally unjustified, though, as both pixel 2 models now feature dual stereo front-facing speakers. There are three color options for the pixel two kind of blue, clearly white and just black, but there are only two options: if you're looking at the pixel, 2 XL, just black and black and white, the pixel 2 XL is the only model that comes in the black and white color combination.

There are only two color options with accented power keys. The pixel, twos kind of blue model has a mint colored accent key, whiles the pixel two excels black and white option features an orange one. Otherwise, the new pixel smartphones have a unique finish on the body that feels soft, yet sturdy, it's more course and gripper than other metal bodied smartphones, which feels very nice in the hand. Otherwise, the exterior of the phone features curved edges, refined from first generation of pixel smartphones. Both phones are now ip67 certified for water resistance, but Google has cashed in the headphone jack.

Thankfully Google will include a 3.5 millimeter to USB-C headphone adapter in the box. Finally, new to the hardware set is what Google calls its active edge, give the phone of squeeze, and you can summon Google Assistant even when the screen is not on. Unlike the HTC you Elevens edge sense, active edge is not customizable. The Google Pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL have the same 12.2 megapixel camera, but with Google's improved, HDR+, algorithm and now oh, is you should see clearer photos and smoother video? Neither pixel 2 model has a second camera, but that didn't stop Google from adding a portrait mode. Google says it can make the same blurred background effect without the need of a second camera.

The 5-inch Google Pixel too, starts at six hundred and forty-nine dollars for 64 gigabytes of internal storage. While the Google Pixel 2xl starts at eight hundred and forty-nine dollars a full two hundred dollars more than the standard model, you can pre-order the Google Pixel two or two XL, starting today with devices shipping on October 19th.
