Goodbye Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra! Here is WHY I am Switching to OnePlus 9 Pro

Hey guys sock here from sake tech and in today's video I am saying goodbye to the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, which I have right here that I paid 1 200 for and, as you can see, I even got the special phantom brown color with the carbon fiber texture in the camera, module 1200 and then, of course, I purchased the OnePlus 9 pro. It is over here, 1069, almost similarly priced, and what I want to do is I want to switch over to this guy and see what happens in this video. I want to tell you guys that I'm making the switch. Why I'm making it, which I'm going to explain in a minute and then, of course, there's gonna, be a follow-up video in a couple of weeks to let you know whether I'm gonna stick with the OnePlus 9 pro, or am I going to go ahead and go back to the s21 ultra, so let's dive in and get started, so I'll. Let you know right away. First and foremost, this here is the um special exclusive phantom black color, with a carbon fiber finish, so the design on this is excellent.

Okay, so I'll, let you know right off the bat when it comes to design when it comes to the matte finish of the back on the s21 ultra. That's what I prefer. I don't like the shiny finish over here, and I'm not a big fan of the overall design, even though the OnePlus 9 pro is not an ugly phone. Okay, the s21 ultra is simply a prettier phone and, of course, the build quality on the s21 ultra is in fact better. Remember.

The s21 ultra has gorilla glass 7 on the front and the back or gorilla glass Vitus, as you know, but the OnePlus 9 pro, even though it is over a thousand dollars, actually uses a lower level gorilla glass 5, which is going to be a problem for me. But that's not what I'm switching to this phone. I'm not switching right now because of the build quality, because in that sense the s21 ultra is in fact ahead. What I do want to test drive is going to be the cameras and, of course, the charging. So, as you know, the OnePlus 9 pro has superfast charging speeds, so this guy over here actually can charge from zero to a hundred in 30 minutes with wired charging, with the included adapter that you get in the box.

So that is pretty amazing uh. What I'm trying to figure out is, if, if that is something that I need in real life or are the charging speeds of the s21 ultra are going to be able to sustain me so far I haven't had a problem, but I just want to see what benefit I'm going to drive in real world by having superfast charging speeds on the OnePlus 9 pro again 30 minutes from zero to a hundred with the s21 ultra. It takes almost an hour and a little more to charge from zero to a hundred with wires. Now OnePlus 9 pro also has superfast wireless charging. Okay, which is going to give you from zero to 100 in around 45 minutes, could be 44 could be 47.

It depends on a couple of variables in real life, but, let's just say, 45 minutes wireless charging from zero to 100. If you buy the specialized wireless charging uh station for the OnePlus 9 pro, that is going to cost extra money. So that's one thing now, while we're talking about the battery, I do want to quickly talk about the battery life. Before I move on, I do appreciate the extra battery life that the s21 ultra offers over the OnePlus 9 pro that's guaranteed. You are gonna, get more battery life with this guy right here than this guy right here.

Okay, so you're going to have to charge this more often than the s21 ultra. Also, the s21 ultra has a 5 000 William hour battery, while this guy here has a 4 500 William hour battery okay. But it is crystal clear to me, based on what I've seen so far, the s21 ultra has a longer battery life, so faster charging on the OnePlus longer battery on the s21 ultra. These are also going to be factored in my overall impressions, uh of my comparison, and also I do want to uh, try the actual camera the Hasselblad camera. Now I have done some preliminary tests in those tests.

I'm not seeing a huge difference and also the s21 ultra does have some extreme capabilities such as 100 times zoom. But then again I barely use the hundred times zoom, maybe occasionally to take a photo of the moon or something that's far away. I'm trying to read or something it does work, but it's not perfect, but it is an option that the OnePlus 9 pro doesn't have and, of course the s21 ultra has a stronger main camera. It's a 108 megapixel camera uh, the OnePlus 9 pro is around 48 megapixels, but it's still a high level camera. It's not a bad camera at all.

So that is something I want to test drive actively and then decide whether uh. It is going to persuade me to switch over to the OnePlus 9 pro. So that's what this video is all about me taking the first step to try to switch from the Samsung to the OnePlus and see if it's going to benefit me in any way. There's a bunch of things that are generally similar between these two smartphones, which is gonna, be fine uh watching videos. Both of these guys have a large screen.

Both phones have 120 hertz refresh rate, so you get smooth operation. Both phones have great software, which is fast smooth, even though the s21 ultra has more rich features built into it. So that's something I want to test drive. Can I live without those features by switching to the OnePlus 9 pro? And of course I love to listen to news in the morning when I wake up when I'm having my breakfast, so either phone is great for that again great display, and also they have dual stereo speakers uh. The s20 ultra seems to be a little better, but it's not a huge difference when it comes to the sound quality.

But that's not gonna, be a problem, so I have narrowed down the whole process to two things: uh, the charging speeds. Is it gonna matter to me and also the camera? Is it going to make me switch over, because you know that OnePlus has put a lot of money. Uh advertising this camera almost making it look like it was gonna, be the best camera in the universe, which definitely is not true, based on what I've seen so far, but I still want to do a little more extensive uh day-to-day testing in real life. Now. One more thing I want to quickly clarify is that the s21 ultra has some enhanced capabilities such as being able to use the s pen with it.

So I'm aware of that, all that is going to be uh wrapped up in the follow-up video and, of course, both of these phones, both the s21 ultra and the OnePlus 9 pro have the snapdragon, 888 processors, 12, gigs of ram, so performance wise they're. The same. That's not one of the reasons, I'm switching over. It's only the two reasons that I did mention and, like I said everything else, including the s pen and other s21 ultra capabilities that the OnePlus 9 pro cannot match will be wrapped up in the follow-up video. So as of today, I'm switching from the s21 ultra to the OnePlus 9 pro officially for one week and then in one or two weeks, I'm going to make a follow-up video, letting you guys know whether I decide to stick with the OnePlus 9 pro or go back to the s21 ultra.

As of now, my gut feeling tells me I'll go back to the s21 ultra, but you never know and that's exactly why I'm doing this to see what happens, but that's basically the end of this video. The other video is going to have a little more details. So if you do have any questions, comments or concerns drop them down below and let me know for now guys have a fantastic day all right.
