Gaming on the New 2018 iPad Pro

When it comes to handle gaming consoles. There's one company, that's been consistently knocking it out of the park with great hardware and that's Nintendo I. Don't think anyone can debate that, but portable gaming has evolved so much since the days of the Game Boy I mean now we have these crazy, powerful smartphones and tablets and with them an entirely new market for video games. So with the release of Apple's new iPad Pro I figured it'd be a perfect time to see how things have changed on the mobile gaming front. This is the 2018 iPad Pro I went with the larger option and got the twelve point. Nine inch display, but there's also an 11-inch option if you're not a fan of larger size tablets.

Now, as far as power is concerned, this thing is an absolute beast: it's fitted with an 8 12, X Bionic chip, and it features a 7 core GPU, which apple claims puts it in the same class as the Xbox 1s, and that's a pretty bold claim to make, especially when compared to a popular video game, console that's priced at about $600 less than what they're selling, but even with console-like specs. The iPad Pro is still very much a portable machine, so unlike say the Nintendo Switch. You probably won't be plugging it into a dock and playing your games on a big screen with a decent, sound system and as of right now there aren't any games that take advantage of the smart keyboard and Apple Pencil. But if you have a compatible Bluetooth controller, you can have a much smoother and traditional experience, while playing some of the more elaborate games on the App Store. For instance, games like NBA, 2k, 19, shadow gun legends and asphalt.9 all provide a console like experience when using a Bluetooth controller, which is precisely what bigger titles like these are trying to bring to the mobile front, but it all sort of falls apart when you're forced to use touch, controls and games that don't have controller support fortnight and pub G's still force players to use, touch controls and anyone who's played either of those games on both console and mobile know how limiting that can be to your overall experience. It does, however, work exceptionally well for games that were designed from the ground up to be mobile experiences, there's just something really: relaxing about kicking back on the couch and playing a game of hearthstone while watching TV and you haven't truly experienced Mario run or Fire Emblem heroes until you've played them on a screen.

This is big, but until the more third-party developers start investing resources into bringing their titles over to mobile. That's really all the iOS and Android platforms have to offer mobile games. So, unless you're a hardcore mobile gamer, the 2018 iPad Pro probably isn't going to provide you with that awesome gaming experience that you're looking for. But if you really want to get that true home console experience with the bonus of portability, then picking up a switch is definitely the right way to go. The iPad Pro is an amazing technical achievement for portable hardware, and it's without a doubt, the best tablet that you can currently buy, but at the end of the day, it's not a video game, console it's still very much a prosumer device.

That's only worth buying. You can plan on taking advantage of its creative and workflow features. So if you're, an animator or if you're a graphic designer- and you need a device- that's relatively easy to travel with. Well then picking up the 2018 iPad Pro is the way to go now before I wrap things up. I just wanted to.
