GALAXY Z FOLD 3, Z FLIP 3, WATCH 4 e BUDS 2: EVOLUÇÕES em CELULAR DOBRÁVEL, relógio e +?! | Hands-on

Subtitled by Paulo Montenegro - @pmontenegroreal (Twitter) After months of leaks we finally had the new Galaxy Fold and Flip made official by Samsung. The news were presented along with the Galaxy Watch 4 and Buds 2 at the UNPACKED event that was previously expected to reveal the Galaxy Note 21 – but as you may already know, the Korean's special line focused on productivity will be without news in 2021. The TudoCelular brings you everything that went down at the event and our first impressions of Samsung's new phones, watches and headphones. This video is a partnership with our Italian brothers from the HD blog who took a close look at the Korean news for the European market. We start with the main releases: the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is more refined and has received minor design changes. The large block of cameras has undergone regime and comes with a slimmer module at the rear to house the three sensors and the LED flash.

Fold is more compact and lighter, without sacrificing build quality. Samsung claims that its aluminum body is the strongest developed by the brand and the special Gorilla Glass Victus glass protects the entire screen from scratches and damage from falls. The new inner screen film is 80% more durable. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also more compact, however, its weight has been maintained. Its design has undergone more notable changes and that small screen from the previous generation has given way to a larger display that makes the secondary panel even more useful.

Cameras have grown and are now arranged vertically, being aligned with the screen. The biggest news in Samsung folding is the adoption of IPX8 certification, which makes them the first of the line with protection against water. The hinge mechanism has also been improved in this generation and withstands up to 200,000 folding operations before it fails even if you open and close the Fold and Flip a hundred times a day, they would easily withstand 5 years. Flip comes in 4 color options: violet, cream, green and black. Fold 3 is available at launch in shades of black, silver and green.

missing the night line because of the S Pen? Do not worry. Samsung also announced a new pen with a retractable tip for use with the Fold. It has all the features you can find on the Note line but cannot be stored on the device itself as there is no slot for it. Samsung has released a case that comes with a pen holder. The best part is that this compartment can be decoupled from the cover, which is handy if you don't need to take the S Pen wherever you go and don't have more space in your pocket.

We had two versions at the event, the S Pen Fold Edition, which does not have Bluetooth connectivity, being thinner and lighter, and the S Pen Pro, a larger pen with Bluetooth and buttons that facilitate pairing , was also presented. Both models are sold separately. The Pro version is compatible with recent Samsung releases that support the S Pen, such as the Galaxy S 21 Ultra. When opening the Galaxy Z Fold 3, you will immediately notice a change in the selfie camera. This is the first from Samsung with a camera under the display.

The technology used is different from what we have in the Mi Mix 4 or Axon 30. The hole can still be visible under strong light but the positive side is that the display does not interfere so much in the quality of the photos, as it does in Chinese rivals. The main screen on the Fold is 7.6 inches and the smaller one 6.2 inches, both 120 Hz AMOLED. In the case of the Flip, the main screen is 6.7 inches with 120 Hz full HD Plus resolution and the secondary is 1, 9" being a viewing area four times larger than before. The sound part is due to the dual speaker with Dolby Atmos support.

When combined with the large screen Fold will have a more immersive experience, but the Flip is also not behind in image and sound quality – quickly, before moving on to the processor that integrates the new foldables, TudoCelular is very close to the first million here on YouTube, so if you're not yet subscribed and can help us, click here subscribe button, okay? Well then, let's move on. Both foldables feature the Snapdragon 888 platform for high performance with any app or game – the Fold comes with 12GB of RAM in two versions of 256 or 512GB storage. Flip has 8 GB of RAM and comes in 128 or 256 options GB of internal memory. They have everything you'd expect from a top-of-the-line cell phone, like 5G connectivity, 6th generation Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC – what changes is the battery size: the Fold brings 4,400 mAh, 100 less than than before and the Flipe maintains the same 3300 mAh of the previous generation. The One UI has been revamped to better take advantage of the Fold's big screen and the apps take on a sort of tablet mode, so more content is displayed than we normally see on a stretched mobile phone screen – Flip's external screen now has more options interaction so you don't have to open the device all the time to check system notifications or alerts.

You can also use Samsung Pay via the secondary screen. On the camera side we didn't have a big advance: the Fold3 brings the same rear set as before with three 12 MP cameras, being the ultrawide current secondary and the tertiary one with a telephoto lens with two times optical zoom. All cameras are now protected by the new Gorilla Glass. The external front retains the 10 MP sensor from before, while the internal has its resolution reduced to just 4 MP, which might sound disappointing. Samsung claims that the pixels are much larger and, with that, the camera can record great photos even with low resolution.

Maybe it's a limitation of the technology under the screen, but we'll see in future tests how the quality of the selfies is. The Flip 3 has two 12 MP cameras on the outside, the secondary with an ultrawide lens and both also protected by Gorilla Glass TX. The selfie camera is the same 10 MP as the Fold 3. Both devices can record videos in 8K and should deliver the same quality as the Galaxy S21 line. For the price of Fold 3 it was expected to see the advanced set of the S21 Ultra but perhaps because of design limitations of a foldable device or because of the high final cost of the product, Samsung has once again decided not to include everything that is most advanced in your collapsibles.

But before we talk about prices for new Korean cell phones, let's check out what else was presented at the event. Samsung has renewed its line of smartwatches that comes with two new models, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, the first comes with a more modern look while the second is aimed at those looking for something with a more traditional or watch face. The watches debut the new chip from Samsung, the Exynos W920, with the promise of better performance and lower power consumption than the Snapdragon Wear 4100. Allied to this, we have WearOS 3 with modified Interface from Samsung, the One UI Watch. Both models have 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Watch 4 is able to monitor sleep, physical activity, heart rate and percentage of body fat, muscle mass and even the water level in the body.

It also comes with the altimeter compass and various other measurement sensors, which Samsung calls bioactive. Watch faces has been revamped and we now have new font widgets to display activity goals and other information in an accessible way. The Super AMOLED screen has high image quality and sharpness and the water-resistant body ensures peace of mind in outdoor activities. The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in two sizes, with a 40 and 44 mm body in black, silver, green and rosé. While the Watch 4 classic is a little bigger with 42 and 46 mm options in black and silver.

There is both a single version and one with LTE connectivity on both models. Galaxy Buds 2 was also present at the event. Its design is more reminiscent of the first generation than Samsung's recent releases. The new headset comes with 3 microphones, a voice recording unit with built-in machine learning, to filter out ambient noise and deliver the clearest, clearest voice. Two microphones are used while listening to music to analyze ambient noise and actively cancel out any interference.

There are two dynamic speakers in each earpiece to deliver deep bass with clear treble. If you don't like the default setting, the Galaxy Buds app brings equalizer with six different audio options – you can also create your own equalization and leave the sound to your liking. The battery promises autonomy of 5 hours of music and the extra charge of the case extends this time to up to 20 hours with active noise canceling in use – with the feature turned off, it will be possible to have almost double the autonomy. Galaxy Buds 2 hits the market in four color options: graphite, olive white and lavender. It comes with splash protection, which shouldn't be a problem if you catch a little rain during outdoor physical activity.

And how much do Samsung's news cost? The Galaxy Fold 3 is the most expensive of the releases – the model with 256 GB of short storage €1,850 while the 512GB version comes in for €1950. In Reais we would have between 11 and 12 thousand in direct conversion and without taxes. Did you find it expensive? The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is much more affordable. The model with 128 GB of storage comes for €1,100 while the version with 256 GB costs €1150. In reais, we will have something between R$ 6,750 and R$ 7000 in direct conversion.

Both have pre-sales started on August 11th in Europe and will continue until the 26th. The other products reach the market in early September. The Watch 4 Classic comes in for €370 for the 42mm model and €400 for the 46mm version. It's good to remember that prices change in each market, but you can get an idea of what to expect in Brazil.

While our first impressions were positive and we see that Samsung's folding cell phones have been evolving with each generation, the price, on the other hand, is still very salty, but now I leave the space open for you to comment below on what you think of the new products from Korean Remembering that more details and images you can find in the full agenda in text on tudocelular. com.
