Galaxy Tab S7+: 45W vs 15W Charger | Is the 45W Charger Worth It?

Hey everyone, it's Dan from puppies tech suit. Today we're going to be looking at the most exciting type of technology power: adapters: okay, maybe they're, not the most exciting pieces of technology, but if you recently purchased a Galaxy Tab, s7 plus you might be disappointed with the included 15 watt charger. If you watch my unboxing video for the latest Galaxy Tab, which you can check out at the top of your screen, you know that I was very disappointed that Samsung only included their 15 watt charger instead of their 45 watt. One so was my disappointment. Justifiable is a 45 watt charger worth the extra cash let's find out during my time with the tab, s7 plus so far, I've been seeing battery life between 8 and 10 hours, depending on my workload screen, brightness, etc. So, while it can easily last through a full workday, more demanding workloads might drain the battery much quicker.

That's where these chargers come in the 45 watt charger supports superfast charging 2.0, while the 15 watt charger is the classic adaptive fast charge charger that we've been seeing with our phones for a few years now. The 45 watt charger is larger and heavier than the 15 watt charger, but not enough to make a noticeable difference in your backpack or tablet sleeve, and it uses an USB-C to USB-C cable, as opposed to the USB-C to USB-C cable with a 15-watt charger. So, let's check out their charging times with the Galaxy Tab, s7 plus. First up, we have the 45-watt charger, starting from completely dead. My tab, s7 plus, went from zero to 44 in the first 30 minutes.

Then it went up to 85 percent after an hour and finally, it fully charged a tablet after 1 hour and 29 minutes now the infamous 15 watt charger I hit 17 after 30 minutes, then 35 after an hour 53 after an hour and 30 minutes, 71 after two hours, 88 in two and a half hours and finally, a hundred percent at just under three hours. So you can see, there's quite a big difference in charging times between these chargers. In the case of the tab, s7 plus not just an overall charge time which takes half as long with the 45 watt charger, but also in getting to 50. For me, the 45 watt charger is a must-buy. I can quickly get from zero percent to 50 charge in just over half an hour, whereas the 15 watt charger would take me one and a half hours to do that if you're contemplating getting the fast charger, definitely ask yourself if you could truly benefit from the much faster charge time.

Will you be charging overnight or during the day, will the tab seven plus last you a full workday and so on? So that's it for now, thanks for watching I'll catch, you next time you.
