Galaxy Tab A7 vs Tab A7 Lite - WHICH One Is Best For You?

Okay, so today we are doing another battle video, but this time it's not really a battle. We are looking at the galaxy tap a7 light versus the regular galaxy type a7. I actually just got rid of mine not too long ago, but I've used it for years, so I know it well enough to be able to kind of compare and give you some ideas on where you stand. If you are in a market for something like this, let's go ahead and jump in now, based off that intro alone, you can tell that this is not going to be an apple to apple comparison right, and we're going to start off with the Galaxy Tab a7 here this baby here is going to run you 160 for the base, storage that 32 gigs of internal storage and that's the Wi-Fi variant. If you want to go for the unlocked version, the one that you can use as a phone, that's going to run you about 200. Now you also have to keep in mind that the prices that I'm giving you, whether it's the a7 lite or the regular a7 these- would be just the MSRPs right so, depending on the time of the year or whenever you're watching this video, the price may be lower, or it may be that so the highest would be the prices that I'm giving you the tab.

A7, on the other hand, is going to run you 230 for the base storage, Wi-Fi version, so 32 gigs, Wi-Fi or 280 for the 64 gigs. Now in terms of design, the a7 here stands at 8.7 inches and, to be honest, I actually you know just straight up. I prefer this design over the regular tab a7. It has a very smooth finish on the back. Here.

That's going to be similar to what you would find on the a7, but this one just feels so dense right, and it's simply because of the form factor. It's a smaller tablet, so they have everything you know kind of like packed in there. It feels very dense, it's not a premium tablet, but it actually almost feels kind of premium. Speaker on each side, very nice for entertainment, when you're playing a game or watching movies or whatever the case may be very nice speakers there not as loud as the Galaxy Tab a7 the tab. A7 does have a quad speaker, setup, not necessary, not tuned, not tuned by AKG, but they sound so freaking loud way, louder than this guy.

This is nothing near that, but still the audio coming out of this guy very nice, then you have the usual suspect on both tablets right. So you have the power button, the volume rocker you have an USB type-c port. As I mentioned, you have the mic, and you have a headphone jack on the Galaxy Tab. A7 light here just like it is the case with the Galaxy Tab. A7 the regular tab.

A7 is a much larger tablet. It stands at 10.4 inches so compared to this guy here the form factor is completely different right, so we have a 10.4 inches versus an 8.7 inches in terms of display. You also have 1200 by 2000 for the resolution. You really do have a great display on that tab. A7.

It is fantastic for watching movies playing games. You know on that. You know. Larger display is really, really nice on here. You have 800, I believe, by 1340, so this is not even a full HD screen.

Still, it looks very nice, especially because it's kind of you know compact here now the internal storage on each one of these tablets can be expanded using a micro SD card. So this 32 gigs internal storage share can be expanded using that micro SD card. That's that that goes also for the regular type a7. The only problem is the same issue we've had since the tab. A7 is that you cannot transfer your apps from the actual tablet to the actual micro SD card.

So if you do buy 32 gigs, whether it's this one or the a7 you pretty much got a 32 gigs tablet you'll be able to transfer your files except the apps. You won't be able to do it. You are starting here with three gigs of ram, so it's 32 gigs of internal storage, three gigs of ram- and that goes also with the Galaxy Tab a7 that I had here. That also was 32 gigs of the base. One has 32 gigs of internal storage and three gigs of ram.

The a7 light here is running a MediaTek hello p22t, that's the processor that is loaded here, and if you are familiar with these chips or processors in general, then you can already tell that that is not really a powerful processor. It's not a productivity processor. Now I'm not saying that the regular tab a7 has a productivity processor in there, but it is powered by a snapdragon 662 which actually performs way better than this guy. With this, once you start using it, you will notice the lag. If you lean your type of usage leans towards productivity, you might get a little frustrated with this.

It does lag a bit a little more than I would like compared to the snapdragon 662 that you would find on the regular top a7 the tab a7 as a matter of fact, actually performs a little more like the tab, s6 light, so you have more of a mid-range tablet, type of performance out of that one, as opposed to this one, which is budget chipset, you know with budget performance, you have android 11 running on both tablets. You have one UI 3.1 running on both tablet and no, you don't have support for a Samsung, DEX or either one of them. You also do not have support for Samsung s pen, you can use a capacitive pencil, but of course that is very limited, and it will not offer you all. The extra features that you will be normally able to get out of a Samsung stylus so to keep it short in terms of performance. The regular type a7 is definitely better than the tab a7 like here by the way.

If this is your first time visiting. Well, welcome, of course, if you do like the content so far, I truly appreciate that. Please do me a huge favor hit both the like and the subscribe button there. It's a huge boost to this channel, and again I truly appreciate that all right. So let's get back to this guy here, let's talk about the camera, so you have an eight megapixel for the rear camera and on the front here we have a two megapixel camera.

Now I know specs don't really make the camera, but in this case yeah it's its not great. You could definitely have your Zoom calls and all that good stuff and be able to chat with family friends, or you know, co-workers, but the problem is, you know they need to be in an environment. That is maybe very well. You need my mistake. You need to be in an environment that is very well lit, otherwise the people watching you will see a lot of noise now.

On the other hand, the rear camera that 8 megapixel rear camera is not bad. It's actually pretty neat, that's the same one that you would find on the other tablet. So the tab a7, the regular one- would have that eight megapixel camera on the back and five megapixel camera on the front. So in terms of camera again, the regular tab, a7 is definitely better. If that's what you're looking for, then you should be going for the tab a7 now in terms of battery.

What you have here is a 50 100 William hour battery as opposed to the tab a7 that has, I believe, 7040. So it's a larger battery on the a7. But you have to keep in mind that this is a smaller tablet right, and it is also fast charge capable at up to 15 watt. Now it doesn't come with a 50 watt charger. It does come with a seven and a half watt charger.

But if you have a charge, that's a little more powerful. You will be able to fast charge the battery on here now the battery is pretty good also, but it all depends on how you use your tablet right. But at the end I'm going to say that the tab a7 battery has the tab a7 lasting a little longer than the battery on here. So, let's go ahead and quickly summarize what we have here. The tab a7 has a better chip.

It has a larger battery. Has better camera has better performance, so everything most things at least on the regular tab. A7 are better, you know marginally better compared to this guy, it's not like they're much better, but it fills. It definitely feels like a lighter version of the type a7, even though I don't necessarily like the term. But what you have here is that form factor people who go after this tablet here generally are people chasing after that form factor that form factor.

There are some people who are looking for that form factor and also looking for performance. This is not going to be that tablet right. They might as well just go for like an active three or something. You know if you are a woman, and you want something that you can easily put in your purse. This guy would be a good one for it.

But- and you know, it's going to handle your day-to-day tasks with no issues, but once you start pushing productivity, it will start causing, maybe not causing a problem, but it will start lagging right. It could get frustrating and on the go for watching movies, you know for your everyday tests, as I mentioned, just navigating the internet, checking your emails doing things like that. This is perfect. You know, plus you're, going to be doing that at a cheaper price. You know more affordable at a much more affordable price compared to the top a7.

On the other hand, if you're, just looking for a budget tablet that has pretty decent performance, just go for the a7, it's better performance long-lasting battery compared to this guy here, better cameras- and you know a few other things that it does better compared to this tab, a7 light. So I'm just going to go ahead and stop here. I hope this was informative. Of course, please don't forget to like comment subscribe, I'm going to catch in the comment section, I'm also going to catch you in the next video, as always, of course, stay safe out. There.
