Galaxy S20 (Snapdragon) vs Galaxy S20 (Exynos) Speed Test

Year after year, Samsung sells two different versions of their flagship: smartphones, they're, the only manufacturer that does this right, like you, don't get a different iPhone if you buy it in the US compared to somewhere in Europe, but with Samsung. That's just the way it is now as hard as Samsung tries to match the performance on these phones like they're, not trying to actively piss off half of their customer base. Unfortunately, at least in the last few years there have been some pretty significant differences. This year, countries like the US, Canada and Samsung's home country Korea gets a Galaxy S 20 with the snapdragon each 65, while in most other countries the galaxy s 20 comes with Samsung's in-house X nosed 990. Now the rest of the specs are identical. Since we are talking about the same phones here, but because the chipsets underneath the hood are difference, the question is: if performance will be, there's only a few more days left to enter our giveaway for a brand-new Galaxy, S 2002 and all you have to do to enter to win is follow us at foam buff on Instagram, and that's literally it.

This giveaway is international, and we'll be announcing the winner on April 30th, with all the links and info that you need down below. Ok, so we'll begin to test by starting the stopwatch is on each phone and then jumping into the first row, where the Snapdragon variants is able to get the small step over the Enos on facebook. But the difference wasn't all that big with the two phones performing roughly the same in Starbucks and from the looks of it nearly identically in Microsoft Word, we'll see if one of these phones canon create some real separation here in Excel, where the Snapdragon variant does just that being able to process all those calculations in Excel at a faster rate, allowing it to pull ahead as a both phones began. Editing the same exact photo here and Snap seed, where, once again, it looks like the Snapdragon variant is running it through the task at a faster rate, so going into Adobe Rush. The Snapdragon variants might just be able to run away with it if it can render this video faster as well, which, unfortunately for the Enos seems to be exactly what's happening.

So a pretty significant lead for the Snapdragon variants midway through this first lap, especially when you consider that these are supposed to be the same exact phones, but in terms of performance. These two are obviously very different with the Snapdragon variants continuing to add on to its lead bit by bit with it now pulling a full lap ahead, as both phones work on the gaming row and at least to the first game in subway, surfers the Enos loaded it at a slightly slower rate, and here in flip diving. It looks like it's the same exact story. So, while the difference in the gaming row hasn't been as big as it was in some other, more processor intensive apps, it's still adding up to what has now become a pretty significant difference between the two, with a Snapdragon variant. Already moving on to the last row here in the first lap, while the X and O's variant gets swept in the gaming row, loading all four games at a slower rate allowing this Snapdragon variant to earn its biggest lead of the test so far with it finishing up with Amazon and in a time of two minutes and one second.

Meanwhile, the Enos variant has at least been able to match the snapdragons' performance in last row, keeping it from falling any further behind allowing it to finish eight seconds later, with a time of two minutes and nine seconds now, since both of these phones have the same 12 gigabytes of RAM, neither of them had any issues here in the second lab, so the real difference was all in that first lap, where the Enos variant was consistently slower across all of our test trials. Now, that's not to say that the Enos variant of the galaxy s 20 is a slow phone; okay, it's still a fast phone and unless you compare them side-by-side like this, you'll probably never notice the difference, but at the same time it is unfortunate that there's a difference to begin with, with the faster version of this year's galaxy being the snapdragon 865 Brian anyways. That is it for me in this video. Thank you guys for watching and as always I'll see you in the very next episode.
