Galaxy M51 vs Galaxy Note 10 lite. Specs comparison. Which one to buy? 🤔

Hello everyone welcome to the channel. My name is Alex, and this is Soto tech in this video I'm going to make a specs' comparison between the galaxy m51 and the Galaxy Note.10 lite, in my opinion, two of the best Samsung's mid-range phones of this year with a lot of similarities, but also a few key differences that might be a dealbreaker for you depending on your liking and needs. Let's begin with the price to start putting things in context: the galaxy m51 costs 329 pounds Europe's dollars or equivalent in other currencies. The Galaxy Note and light had a price at launch in january 529 pounds, euros dollars and equivalent in other currencies, but you can even find it out for under 400 pounds next screen size and resolution. They both have a gorgeous 6.7 inches super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels, with basically the same PPI density, 393, the m51 and 394. The Galaxy Note 10 light.

Both screens are really nice and vibrant. I think the m51 might be a little brighter, but it's just me, you might see it differently. Unfortunately, both screens have this silly and unnecessary hole punch in the center that I still don't like the one on the galaxy. M51 is a little bigger and I don't really understand why dimensions they both have basically the same dimensions in terms of height and width. The bigger difference comes with the thickness.

The galaxy m51 is 9.5 millimeters thick for the massive battery capacity and the Galaxy Note.10 light is 8.7 millimeters thick, but in reality, when you hold both of them together, you hardly notice this difference, and this is really amazing. Both phones are made of plastic at the back with a galaxy m51, also having plastic frames and the Galaxy Note 10 light aluminum frames, and I am absolutely fine with that, because they are both more durable and will stand few more drops than the so-called premium phones with glass back. Fortunately, they both come with a headphone jack which, and once again this is a big yes for me, both have the power button and the volume kits on the right. They both come with the USB type-c charging port here at the bottom, and they both only have the speaker at the bottom, so no stereo sound battery capacity. The galaxy m51 has a massive and monstrous known removable, 7000 William battery capacity with 25 watts, fast charging and the Galaxy Note 10 light has a 4 500 William battery capacity with also 25 watts fast charging.

None of them has wireless charging, but the galaxy m51 has reverse charging, and it can even be used as a power bank and charge other devices' battery life on the Galaxy Note and light is very good with heavy moderate usage. It can get you through the day. Now the m51 is a beast in this department hands down. I cannot stress enough how amazing the battery life on this phone is easy, two days or even a little more with the exactly same usage, zero battery anxiety with this phone, and it seems that the more I use it the longer it lasts, I'm seriously blown away IP certification. None of them are officially water and dust resistant so once again keep them away from liquids just in case OS updates.

They both are on android 10, but the galaxy m51 with Samsung one UI 2.1 and the Galaxy Note 10 light one UI 2.5 now, while the note and light will have three years of always updates guarantee, the m51 belongs to the Samsung's cheapest series and though, apparently it is supposed to get two years of OS updates. If that happens, you know it's not going to happen straight away like on Samsung's, more expensive flat sheets. However, it will at least get android 11 for sure and probably an update to one UI 2.5 before android 11 fingers crossed. However, like I said in my video comparison against the Pixel 4a, I think that android 10 is so polished with so many nice and useful features that, together with Samsung's one UI, 2.1 or 2.5, the average consumer will be good to go for the next two three years. I will be more concerned about the monthly security patches to be honest storage.

They both come with 128 gigabytes of internal memory and 6 or 8 gigabytes of ram depending on the market. They both have micros card slot to expand internal memory. Ok, let's now talk about their processors. The galaxy m51 comes with the snapdragon 730g and the Galaxy Note 10 light with the Enos 9810, which is a two years old processor, but still very good and efficient for day-to-day usage in terms of using normal apps like messaging mailing phone calls normal games. They perform absolutely fine, all apps open, relatively fast and work.

Well, as I said in one of my videos before, I've only had a couple of starters playing temple round two at the beginning with the galaxy m51, but it hasn't happened again ever since, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again is kind of expected. These are perfect chips, but you can still have these issues occasionally. Is it the end of the world and something to really worried about? No, of course not. The general performance is absolutely fine, unlocking methods both phones have very similar, unlocking methods with a slightly different implementation. In only one case, they both have the 2d face, unlock the pin password the pattern and fingerprint reader, and here is where you find the difference.

The galaxy m51 has it here on the power button the best place ever and where it should be, and the note 10 lite is an in-display fingerprint reader, which I think it was a noble attempt to solve the issue of giving phones more screen to body ratio, but it actually served more for technological bragging points. Sony offered the solution long time ago here on the power button. Why are manufacturers still wasting time and more resources on the in-display fingerprint reader why it is far more convenient and cost-efficient on the power button? Mobile payments, the Galaxy Note, 10 lite comes with Samsung pay. Unfortunately, the m51 doesn't come with Samsung pay, like some phones in the series and Samsung's flagships. Now the Galaxy Note, 10 lite comes with one of my favorite features.

You can only find in the Galaxy Note series, and it is the mighty and beloved s pen an incredible tool. I absolutely love. I won't talk about the features of the s pen. Now you can see some of my previous videos or many others, even better, explaining everything about it. Okay, let's talk about the cameras.

The galaxy m51 has at the back a 64 megapixel main lens, but by default is actually 16 megapixels, which I prefer it doesn't have optical image stabilization. The second lens is a 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. The third lens is a 5 megapixel micro lens and the fourth one is a 5 megapixel depth sensor. The front facing camera is a 32 megapixel lens. With both cameras, you can record 1080p and 4k videos at 30 frames per second, the Galaxy Note.10 lite has a 12 megapixel main wide lens, a 12 megapixel telephoto lens with two times optical zoom, both with optical image, stabilization and a 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. The front facing camera also has 32 megapixels, and you can also record 1080p and 4k videos, with both cameras for more detailed info check out the full camera comparison.

Video both phones have very good cameras, especially for the price. I'm particularly impressed with the camera on the m51, despite the future comments, especially if we take into account that none of the lenses has optical image stabilization. The pictures have very good dynamic range and are sharp and videos are very stable, especially during the day. I honestly didn't expect it to be this good. The only thing I would have liked to see included is voice command to take pictures and record videos like you can do with the note light and other Samsung's phones and which I find very convenient.

Sometimes once again, the m51 has been a pleasant surprise to me, the amazing battery life, the placement of the fingerprint reader on the power button, which I love and even the camera have been the highlights for me and the things I have enjoyed the most. The only main two downsides are that, as of now, you cannot install the good lock app for better customization and no access to secure folder. However, I recently read that secure folder might come soon to the m31s as part of the one UI 2.5 update, so I'm expecting the same for the m51 plus. Also, good luck. I'm really going to mix this phone when I go back to my Galaxy Note, 9 as my main driver by the way inspect the camera and expect comparison against the Galaxy Note 9 soon to conclude, which one to buy well, if you want a phone with an amazing battery life of two days and possibly more, that will give you zero battery anxiety with also a more convenient fingerprint reader on the power button and an excellent 1080p super AMOLED screen with a good camera setup, and you are not too concerned about getting three OS updates or even two, because getting android 11 will be more than enough for you.

Then the galaxy m51 is the one. Now, if you're happy with the phone with just a good battery life that can get you through a day, you are okay, with the less convenient and reliable in display fingerprint reader, a phone also with an excellent 1080p super AMOLED screen with also a very good camera setup, with possibly three years of OS updates and with an amazing tool like the s pen, then the note 10 lite is definitely the one to pick.
