Does the Google Pixel 4 work in India? Unboxing & Test!

Hello guys, this is Amit and welcome back to PhoneRadar's new video and, this is Google's new Pixel 4 smartphone, which isn't coming to India, officially, and, that's because of some issues with the Indian government in terms of some approvals, but still, we shall unbox this phone and checkout this new Pixel 4's camera since the Pixel phones have been offering us one of the best camera setup but, overall, these devices appear to be under-specced and there isn't been pleasant software experience as well, but, in terms of camera, it's one of the best, again, that's only for the photos and not for videos. So, let's unbox this smartphone and, I'll show you all the features this smartphone has to offer I have bought this phone from Faizul Communications in Hyderabad for a good deal So, this is the new Google Pixel 4 and, the bottom of the retail box showcases additional information this Pixel 4 has a 5.7'' display, 64GB storage 'Just Black' variant and it also has 18W USB Type-C power adapter, charging cable and quick switch adapter let's unbox the Pixel 4 and check out all it's features So, this is the new Pixel 4's box and opening it.. we're greeted with.. brand new Google Pixel 4, and first impressions.. the phone feels pretty light and compact, which is something, I generally prefer and moving forward.. the box packs in some reading manuals alongside the SIM ejector pin, which you can find in the box and there's a User Guide as well let's put these things on the side for now, there's a USB Type-C cable and one adapter to transfer your data and here's Google's 18W fast charger which you get out-of-the-box this is the Google Pixel 4 and.. this is clearly a complete piece of Glass First impressions, the device's got an on/off switch in White color, which is completely contrasting and clearly visible on the right, the device's got volume rockers and on the left, it has the conventional SIM card slot however, there's no SD card option on the device hence there's only one SIM card option and in general, Google Pixel phones already support eSIM functionality, and on the top of the device carries a secondary noise cancellation mic and at the bottom it has USB Type-C port alongside a dual speaker grille and let's quickly complete setup of this phone talking about the other physical overview aspects of this phone, on the rear, we have the new.. set of cameras, which are dual cameras, but with a different symmetry, which had also generated quite some memes on the social media and then there's Google branding at the bottom again a Glass back, which means that the chances of breakage are more as I have always noticed that whenever people use a Pixel, they keep complaining that their Pixel devices get broken quickly again, which I have experienced personally as well I remember my Pixel 2 got broken up, Pixel 3 also got broken with one single drop and I've had got messages from several Pixel owners regularly complaining about their Pixel device getting broken up too quickly and if you have experienced the same then don't forget to comment down below so, completing the phone's setup, where I'll try to complete the Face Unlock – as the phone doesn't feature any fingerprint scanner so, here we go, this is the Face Unlocking Setup and with the Motion Sensing the Face Unlock has been set up, which would be super fast and let me just quickly check that the phone is locked and that's Unlocked! that's Quick! Wow, that's cool! and, with my eyes closed also, it works! which is not acceptable in a way but then.. this is the first screen, which has got some pre-installed applications and it's clearly Google-based Applications moving forward here are all the options In the 'About' section, the device's name is mentioned and.. uh the device's got Android version 10 out-of-the-box now, let's move back and taking a look at other things here we got.. talking about other things IMEI, and other model & other details are mentioned here let's go back and take a look at the 'System' where we have additional options apart from that let's go back and.. take a look at the storage, out of the 64GB, the device's got 12.4GB of used storage, which means that out-of-the-box, you get 52GB available now, its time to check out the most important feature, which is the Motion Gesture feature, enabling it will lets you wave your palm/hand to skip your music tracks and for calls, waving your hand on the phone will lessen the ringer volume these are quite interesting features which you get on this Pixel 4 but, since I am using this phone in India it's not going to work and it's clearly mentioned in the settings as well that it is off and Motion sensing features like Quick Gestures, show display when nearby and reach to check phone are not supported in this country meaning, so all these highlighting features of this Pixel 4 doesn't work in India even though you buy this phone or imported from some other country so, that is something, which you need to make a note of To check further, I have put my Airtel SIM just to check if this internet works on this obviously, it should work but then just I put it inside and it shows the connectivity the SIM has just been inserted, Airtel has been connected, and, only 16MB has been used and.. there's a connection already visible let me just quickly go to Fast.

com and check out the internet speeds again just to cross-check that internet works on this phone or not, obviously, it should work, only thing which doesn't work is the motion-sensing feature so, I think the browser is updating or whatever let's go here.. let's go and type Fast. com and.. here we go not bad.. on a H+ connection, I'm getting an average of 2.7Mbps, again, the SIM is still inserted in the phone down the lane, it should probably latch into 4G at least the phone does work, that's one good thing but the only thing is that the Motion Sensing features and those features don't work so this is.. ok, the call also works, now let's take a look at the camera, which is certainly an important area of this phone and.. you get plenty of options in this phone's camera and firstly, under the camera modes we have the NightSight, which means that you can capture amazing photos in low-light and there's Portrait mode, Camera mode, Video, which has one limitation that Google still offers is 4K video recording at 30fps and I really wish that Google offers you with 60fps making it a good smartphone for taking videos as of now, it is still limited to taking amazing portraits and selfies and there are few other additional options too, which include PhotoSphere is also an amazing thing, we have Timelapse and Lens mode Talking about the front camera, we can find similar options NightSight comes to the front camera too along with Portrait mode camera, video and more again you have all these options, which is again a good thing Here are few of the camera samples, through which you get to know on how the Pixel 4 camera performs But then initial first impressions, according to me is that.. If you're willing to buy a phone only in terms of camera perspective then.. it's an amazing phone! because camera - no doubt Google has been doing an amazing job... but if you talk about videos, not so amazing, in terms of the overall build quality and as of now, I would say, if you're someone who uses a case and keeps the phone under its protection then you might take a look but I won't suggest buying a Pixel because they break very quickly, but then, apart from that overall in camera point of view, it's an amazing phone the new Radar Soli thing is not working in India but the phone of course works I just tested with Airtel and it works so overall there's no issue in terms connectivity but, these are my initial impressions I would love to use this phone on a long term basis only for the camera or I would call this as my camera smartphone So, this has been the complete unboxing of the Google Pixel 4 smartphone which isn't officially coming to India but then there are chances, maybe the next variant might come in India.

So, this has been the complete unboxing, if you like this video then LIKE this video and Subscribe to our channel for such interesting videos This is Amit, and I'll meet you guys in our next video, until then.. GOOD BYE!.
