Coolpad Note 6 Review | Digit.in

Hey guys welcome back to digit dot in, and today we are reviewing the new cool pad note.6 now, cool pad is hardly the name that comes to mind when you think about budget and mid-range smartphones, the likes of Xiaomi honor motor. They have all captured people's mind when they think about smartphones at that segment. But after a reorganization in its business and injection of fresh funds, cool pad is back in business, its new device. The note 6 encompasses the latest and the best that the company has to offer only cool pad latest and the best doesn't quite match up to its rivals. This phone is for the offline market only and price to entropy is 9999, so it won't be taking up the stall words like the Redmi Note, 5 pro and the new Realme 1, which are only online brand like online only brands. So it will have some sort of job cut easy for it, but does it have enough to be a compelling buy? Among other rivals, we find out the cool pad note.6 looks different, but that doesn't mean it's better. It has metal body sandwiched between glass on both sides, and the glass panel has a groovy cutout around the camera unit, but the glass itself seems quite unnecessary.

The glass simply glistens against the light and doesn't really add to the design in any way. Moreover, the glass isn't even durable and customers on a tight budget will more likely pass on the phone for a metal unibody one but up front. The cool pad looks a lot like Samsung's, older J, Series phones, not that Samsung is a real innovator when it comes to budget phone designs, but then cool pad was probably gunning for the familiarity of the design, especially considering that this is a phone that people will touch and feel before buying. So in that regard, the glass body feels quite premium and might take on the likes of other good-looking rivals like the honor 9 like there are significant bezels around the phone, especially on the top and the bottom. In fact, the bottom chain is used to house the capacitive navigation buttons.

We get the fingerprint sensor, embedded ins for home button and on top is a do. Camera array, along with an LED flash, both of which can be a very good attractive proposition for the selfie, crazy Indian market. Now coming to the display, the cool part note 6 is pretty much living in the past. You don't get. The newer 18 is 2 9 display.

Instead, you get the regular 5.5-inch full HD panel, with which, in comparison with the newer taller panels, might come off a little onion wheel, D so, but for those who didn't get a taste to the new display, the phone will seem compact enough. Apart from that, the cool part note 6 register at a higher brightness levels than the best-selling Redmi Note, 5 Pro. That definitely means that the legibility on a direct sunlight is much better, there's, also no unnecessary glare from the panel that usually hinders visibility under harsh light. The cool by note 6 offers different options in the display category, like adaptive, brightness ambient light ambient display my bad and a couple more screen modes that you can cycle through to change the color profiles. Apart from that, the display seems to be one of the few things that are genuinely good about the device, even though it doesn't have in your aspect ratio.

The 5.5 inch panel makes up for it in terms of high brightness and clarity of content now coming to the performance. The reason why I keep saying that the cool part note 6 is lagging behind the competition is partly because of its performance. The note 6 is still stuck at a time when a compromising performance is something expected in a budget smartphone. You get a snapdragon 435 chipsets in the time when most of the smartphones at that price comes with either a Hello, P, 60 or even the sampling at 625. Now this map dragon 435 chipsets, is 2 years old and has been powering entry-level devices for quite some time now.

The performance, even though quite stable, isn't going to help run multiple apps and new games. The node 6 quite evidently lagged behind its primary form, tradition in terms of synthetics benchmarks, but it can take on the likes of the smart, Frantic phone P, the 10 or G, or the cult gladiator. Quite well in terms of real-world usage, the note 6 is visibly slower than other phones and priced browsing. Facebook, Twitter and the likes are just about stable. All the filling of the storage might change the experience of browsing for the worst.

The camera too took some time to launch, and you might lose out on those precious moments that require the camera within seconds. Apart from that, when it comes to the camera, the pool pad north six features a 13 megapixel single shooter at the back with F 2.2 apertures. The photos come out quite warm with well good details and enough dynamic contrast, as you would expect at that price. Now. Close-Up shots also seen pretty good, and we'd have that ample sharpness, but it doesn't have a good depth of field like other dual camera phones offer.

Now it is one of the better cameras we have seen on a cool pad phones in a long time, but it still won't beat a Sharma device by a long mile. There's no portrait mode, which is one of the most in-demand features in smartphones these days. Now, what it does offer is a dual front camera and that too, with a different approach. One is a regular selfie shooter. Another is a wide-angle selfie shooter to essentially get an 8 megapixel, plus 5 megapixel combination.

What is different is the way Camus pad approaches, the dual cameras up front now. It offers one regular selfie shooter, another wide-angle selfie shooter, with an 8 plus 5 megapixel combination. Now the selfies come out pretty well detailed, but there's always room for improvement. You get this ample highlight clipping at the back, while details some sometimes gets munched because your hand is not too stable. Apart from that, the cool pad note 6 runs on a 4-0 7 6mh battery.

That offers a full day of use. The UI this time is quite lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of resources. I use the phone to browse the web check social media click, photos, watch videos and played games pretty much the average use case among Indians and all that by the end of the day, I still had around 20 percent charge left. Unfortunately, the phone doesn't support fast charging, so it takes over an hour and a half to charge the phone, but then again that's an acceptable compromise. Considering the time you get to used for completely untethered, so the cool part node six comes at a time when the rest of the smartphone world have moved on to better and newer features.

The cool pad node six is simply living in the past and sort of lagging behind its rivals, but then again its rivals and not the chemise and honors of the world. It. The phone is meant for the tier 2 and tier 3 cities, where the offline retail space is still the major inlet to the smartphone world. Now, in that space, the cool pad 10 oldster tron are all popular brands and the cool pad note 6, with its all-new glass design a bright display. Nevertheless, even though it's not an 18 is 2 9 a 2-year-old processor and a decent camera makes for a compelling, buy provided you're strictly against like online brands, but in case you find the Redmi 5 or the new red me--why to available offline.

You don't have to look further back beyond that. Thank you so much for watching this video guys for more videos like this. Please subscribe, 32.8.
