The camera app on Chromebooks leverages the device's webcam to be able to take still images. You can save those to your Google Drive and use them in any of your documents. So it's a great tool. You can find it in the launcher. I have pinned mine to the shelf. It looks like a blue circle with a camera icon in the middle when you open it up hello there.

So when you open it up, you can take a picture right from that camera. If you want, you can also toggle these filters. So some interesting Instagram like filters, which you can apply to your picture if you wish to I'm not going to so after taking a picture, brutal anyways I've got that in my camera. I can go to my gallery here now hasn't saved this picture. Yet so I've got my picture.

I can now save it to my Chromebook. I have to select where most likely I'm going to choose somewhere in my Google Drive. That way it's online automatically and instantly. Alternatively, you can save it to your downloads, folder right on to your device. If you don't want it saved in the cloud so use the camera app, don't forget to then save that picture to your disk.

They aren't saved automatically and save those from your gallery to your Google Drive.
