BlackBerry Signs of Life!? NEW Pre-Commitment Program from OnwardMobility!

Hey everybody welcome back to tech odyssey, so there's been a, I guess: kind of exciting development in the world of blackberry and in onward mobility. Now there wasn't a formal announcement made, but it seems that there is a new area on the web page where you can actually sign up and join. They call it the program, I was going to say, join a program called the program, but they created kind of like this, and maybe it's like an insider type of I don't know the way. They've said it. Furthermore, they use the word program. I keep wanting to say that so this program that they have called the program, I'm going to have to read some of this, because I'm not going to be able to say this all verbatim, but it says all mobility is launching a pre-commitment program to expand our engagement with customers interested in purchasing the new and innovative blackberry, 5g smartphones, so very curious here that they have set this up.

It's not a pre-order, it's not a reservation. It's not a's! Just it's a pre-commitment, a commitment to commit. If you will, I think I saw that in TV show one day, but here are the reasons they have listed or basically what you get if you sign up for this program in the know, first, to receive product feature and availability updates before the public and then drive design under that keynote, they have provided input to directly influence product features and functionality, which that's something us blackberry, guys like and gals, don't want to be non-inclusive there and then be the early bird. So this will allow you to pre-order the device and be one of the first to receive your device at launch. I think that's kind of a big thing that people might be interested in as well.

So what you have to do to join the program is, please fill out the form below to register so first name last name, title email address company, and then they've got another area, estimated quantity of devices anywhere from one to four to over a thousand and then mobile network providers which mobile network provider. Would you like to use it on, so I'm guessing that this will give them some feedback as far as interest from businesses and individuals who you know, are looking to purchase a certain amount of devices, and also it should be a reciprocal relationship between the people that sign up for the program and onward mobility? You tell them what you'd like to see. You put some input on features according to this. They should get that information and be heard whenever you say- or you know, put this information out there, and it should be a two-way street where they put information back out to you at some point in time. So I was not privy to this before it went public.

So I don't have any insight on this. All I can give you is my own estimate on things, but one of the biggest criticisms that people have had so far is that armor mobility does not put information out there and rightfully, so there was an announcement made in August of last year. Lots of fanfare lots of news articles a lot of stuff. You know everybody was super, super happy. We were going to get this brand-new blackberry, 5g blackberry, running android, with the physical keyboard, all that great stuff all was going to be right with the world, and it was supposed to come out in the first half of 2021, and then we waited, and we waited, and we waited and then June 30th came and went, and here we are today I'm reading this now you're seeing this morning.

It is the 24th of July, and we still have no information on the phone and there's been no announcement made afterward. So I'm glad that they put this out there. I hope that it's helpful. I would like to see this used as a tool to communicate to people, because communication is the most important thing here. Absolutely most important thing I have spoken to so many people.

I have spoken with all formability communication is key in anything, especially when it comes to relationships and there's a relationship here between customers, fans and a person or an entity. That's bringing these devices to market on. You know we want these devices to succeed. We want to. We want this phone to happen.

So I don't think people are so wrapped around the axle that hey it's not here. Yet it's that we have not heard anything and the deadline has passed. So I would imagine that at some point time the near future information will have to start flowing. I mean it's kind of have to. I thought this would have happened a long time ago, but it has not so moving forward and with this program I hope really.

It is a very good relationship between the people that sign up for it and the company, because one it gives you like a foot in the door to try and funnel some information. You've got some ideas. You've got some thoughts and very curious in the heather that they say devices well. Words have meaning, especially whenever you put them out for a business device likely means that they're planning on doing more than one like we've got this initial one. But I don't know the details of the licensing agreement to how many devices, maybe they're planning and their name, is onward mobility.

It's not stood in place. Mobility. It's not fixed mobility, it's honorability! So it's a forward-thinking type of name. It's a! We want to take this somewhere, so I believe that they want to take this licensing agreement and make the phone brand their own and bring us these blackberry phones, because we love them and that's what we want. They want to bring the super secure device to the market and provide us with the physical keyboard experience that we want.

So you know I think that what they want and what we want is the same thing and ultimately, communication is what's missing right now, so I hope that this pre-commitment program, one will give them the information that they need, because clearly there's a sign-up, so I mean they would like to know how many people are interested, I'm sure, and then on top of that, on the other end, it's an opportunity for you to give them feedback and then, hopefully for them to down channel information everybody. So I'm hopeful for this, I'm glad that they did this again. I wasn't aware of this part of this going live, so I'm as in the dark on this as you are, but I'm hopeful this should. Hopefully I would think, be a step in the right direction to setting up a channel to disseminate information to people who care, because, ultimately, that's what they need. We have people that care, but there's no information flowing.

So it's not like this is something where they're sending up a big web page. It's not like they're, you know putting a ad in the newspaper. It's not like they're sending this out to bloggers everywhere. This is on their website targeted to people who obviously really care about it, who are going to come to the website and sign up. So I think that they're looking for feedback, I think they want feedback.

I think they want information from their very loyal, dedicated people who are going to be their customers and, at the same time, I think they believe that you guys are very important that they want to get this information to you guys who really care about it. So I think this has promise I'd like to see this being used as a vehicle to get information out to people and sure go ahead and sign up for it. I don't see that it hurts. You don't have to pay for anything. I'm certainly not a spokesman for these people, so I'm not going to go out there and try and say hey, go.

Do this go! Do this? It's great! I don't know. What's going to come out of it, I hope good things. I always go into things with a positive light and I hope the best because of course I want the brand to succeed so check it out. I have the link down in the description you can check it out. There go look at it sign up if you want, and hopefully at some point in time, the near future information will be sent out along the channels of the information that you provide them and give them your feedback.

Let them know let them know what you think. Let them know what you would like to see for the next phone. That's going to come out. Let them know what you would like to see as far as your expectations from them as a company, and if you want to give them your two cents go for it. This is your opportunity.

I know. They've had other avenues do this before this seems to be the most targeted way that they've done it so far, I'm going to cross my fingers, I hope for the best uh really that's what we have at this point is hope, because we still don't have any information out there on what's going on, so hope is a good thing, a new hope. It was the first Star Wars movie. It started everything. So hopefully this starts everything too right.

I hope that it is a good sign of goodwill from them that information will start flowing sometime in the near future to people who really care about it and, ultimately, that's what's important right. That's what we want.

We want to know what's going on. We want to know that our beloved brand and our phones are in the good hands of people who care about it and care about us as a fan base.
