What's up guys, Matthew bonus here, and I just got back from a BlackBerry event. Hence, a brand-new BlackBerry smartphone. This is the latest BlackBerry product on the market. It's called the BlackBerry motion. This is their latest mid-range, smartphone, and I have here in the studio today. So quick, look at the box BlackBerry motion, and this is the first time in a little while we don't see a keyboard on the front of the smartphone.
We have a little fingerprint scanner on the bottom, and it says it's very secure which is typical for a BlackBerry device enough with it anyways. Let's open it up and check it out typical BlackBerry fashion, we have a black box whew. Now that is a beautiful mid-range device. Wow, look at that. This is exactly the same.
Look as the BlackBerry key one, except with no keyboard. Let's put the phone to the side, bring the box back in the middle, because I don't know why I put it over there. Take this out. I've got a piece of plastic and of course, we have most likely the paperwork. We have welcome to your new Android powered by BlackBerry smartphone.
We have a rapid charging guide, we have a warranty which we're probably never going to use sorry ash, and we have a Quick Start Guide to get things going quickly box. The sim tool is in here I'm not going to take it out this over here the accessory package. This is what you're going to get when you flip everything out. We have your USB type-c cable, nicely wrapped up. We have your charging brick I hope this can do.
Quick charging actually can do quick charging because they mentioned that at the BlackBerry event. So that's always good. Some manufacturers are not including the box, which is a shame. We have your tips that tells me this is gonna, come with headphones, something a lot of manufacturers are also not including in the box and put those to the side and finally, blackberry branded headphones, all right box out of the way super simple to open. Now for the fun part, we are gonna, take off the plastic and listen to that sweet glory.
Okay, this is not that sweet. This is like taking gum off of a shoe: oh yeah, that was terrible, I'm, sorry guys. That was just not satisfying at all. Now I have to tell you. This feels nice and cold to the touch so metal trimming around the smartphone actually know what? Let's compare this to the BlackBerry quinoa reminds me a lot of it.
Well, it's its! It's definitely bigger than the BlackBerry key one, because the key one has the keyboard. It's a little more narrow, so it's known as tall, but it resembles it a lot. So I'll leave this right here, as you guys can see it as I talk, but we have that nice metal trim surrounding the device. We have a metal volume rocker with your power button, and it looks like a dedicated button to bring up the BlackBerry menu, which is common or a shortcut menu which is common on BlackBerry devices. On the bottom we have your USB type-c port.
Your microphone looks like it to be a mono speaker and, of course, that headphone jack I was talking about earlier on the top. You have another microphone and, on the back, you have a 12 megapixel sensor which, by the way BlackBerry says, is the exact same sensor that the pixel is using. So it should take great photos, part of the same camera. That's in the BlackBerry key one of the phone itself is in rubber texture, which feels nice in the head and overall, it's a very square and large device. Now, let's turn this bad boy on and see how it goes honestly guys for a mono speaker that was actually pretty darn good.
It got really loud a little of distortion on the high end, but compared to most mono speakers on phones. These days, probably one of the louder ones on the market. Okay, that's pretty quick for a front-facing camera, and on top of that, this field of view is super wide, so you're going to be getting yourself and a couple of people in here with no problems on the back. We have the 12 megapixel sensor, which I mentioned earlier, but this is the same lens. That's on the Google Pixel.
Here's a couple pictures going to take right now to see how this camera looks. You're going to flip it around here. I'm going to take a picture of taking a picture of myself, so before I wrap. This up is a few things. I want to mention, first and foremost, there's a four thousand William battery inside, so you're gonna easily take this phone to two days, I mean think about it.
You have a 1080p display with a NATO diamond coating which, by the way, is stronger than Gorilla Glass, five pairs, that with a Snapdragon 625, which is a very efficient processor and a huge battery like this you'll probably never have to charge in your life, and if you do, there's quick charging in the box, so you can top things up superfast, so that wraps up my first hands-on with the BlackBerry motion. I, don't know, I need some lotion. It was gone. My glove switch so that wraps up my hands on a first impression of the BlackBerry motion. I want to hear some commotion in the comments below.
Let me know you think of it. Secure phone mid-range $600 here in Canada has all the specs. You need to take you through the entire day plus more. It seems like a great mid-range device, and I'm excited to test it out and give you guys my full review so make sure you're subscribed to the channel to be first to see it like this video. If you liked it subscribe.
If you haven't already, and I'll see you guys in the next episode.
