Blackberry (BB) Stock News Analysis! Gov. of Canada & IBM Deals!

Hello, welcome back to finance, live by the source for daily finance news analysis, and today we're doing another update on blackberry stock. One of my favorite companies talk about because almost every day it seems like they have something great to share and today is no different. Today I have two new press releases that I want to talk about and analyze for you, I'm a little late to the party once a couple of days old, but I think I still have some good information for to share to you. But those of you who do not know blackberry is not a phone company anymore. It's an intelligent security, software and services provider to enterprise and governments around the world. They have partnerships with the leading automotive companies, the leading tech companies all across the world.

Their products are revolutionary, arguably the best in class. They provide exceptional security with their platforms and the company secures more than 500 million endpoints and over 175 million cars that are on the road. Today, it's a Canadian corporation. It's within intelligent security, which is primed to be one of the fastest growing sectors in the world over the next few years. If you look at the CAGR for the sector of cybersecurity and blackberry is one of those corporations that arguably, is at a discount relative to competitors in this market, despite the fact that their line and their success has been so impressive and transitioning out from a hardware provider for phones to his primarily enterprise server provider, for, of course, cybersecurity intelligence security systems, so blackberry is now at nine dollars per share.

It's down today, it's down 25. Over the month. It's been a very volatile past few months. I'm sure you guys are aware who have been following blackberry and the reason for that is multifaceted, a lot of conditions. Of course, the most recent have been the earnings which were not as substantial as even on a revenue basis.

Some analysts had expected, although I was predicting that they wouldn't, it wouldn't perform as well after hours upon the initial release of the earnings- and I was correct in that prediction. But that being said, let's get into the incredible news: uh, and these are qualitative news, there's not a number of business numbers but they won't provide these, but I think that they'll be accredited towards the underlying revenue of the business, which blackberry predicts nine to fifteen percent revenue growth for this year, from the guidance that they gave in the last earnings call. So we have here uh blackberry. This is the first one has to do with a new partnership for with IBM Canada. Those of you don't know IBM is one of the probably yeah one of the largest.

Definitely up. There are the top 10 largest technology corporations in the planet. They have their, let's say their hands in an innumerable amount of projects all across the globe, from artificial intelligence to security, to you name it. If it's, if they've, probably done something with it. It's you know a very old corporation, it's been around for decades upon decades and has been a leader in a number of I?t, related departments and technologies for four decades and of course, you can look at their stock uh to see the market capitalization of such a large corporation that it is, but the day they announced they have a've established a new partnership to bring blackberry's industry-leading blackberry spark platform to organizations across Canada.

Blackberry spark is that solution. This is one of these solutions that um blackberry has it's. It's a basically a zero trust security environment focused on protection across any endpoint and continuously validating that trust at every event or transaction um. It continuously authenticates users to deliver a zero touch, experience that improves security with no user interruption. Furthermore, it's you know it's.

The platform is a combination of innovative products, uh, it's dynamic, it's adaptive, and it helps protect organizations from data breaches and uses advanced data methods to effectively and intrusively, provide security solutions. IBM will resell, blackberry's, endpoint management, endpoint security and critical event, management, software to enterprises and governments nationwide. This is more of a sort of marketing possibility here. Um, Blackbeard and IBM has a strong track record of technology, innovation and deep expertise in industry. Verticals said the senior vice president and chief elite customer success officer at blackberry.

Together we will bring best-in-class solutions to people across Canada at a time when security, productivity and safety are needed most and without compromise. We're delighted to establish this partnership and then on the side of IBM uh, the general manager says we are proud to partner with blackberry, to enable the digital transformation of organizations across Canada as the world's leading open, hybrid cloud platform and AI company. Our strength in delivering excellence to clients across industries is well recognized together with blackberry. The solutions we provide will help address critical business issues for Canadian organizations. It speaks volumes when a corporation like IBM, a successful one uh, despite course a turbulent market in the last few years, uh to really partner up with a small, relatively small corporation like blackberry, that has gone through this undergone through a radical transformation uh to feel secure with partnering up and putting their brand online uh.

So this gives me at least a qualitative uh comfort when it comes to looking at blackberry as something good, as opposed to something that is sort of um confused. That is the case when it comes to my sort of confidence with what blackberry can do and how it performs into the future. Of course, when it comes to investing the way I like to do is my opinion is investing companies that I both can understand, and I can confidently say uh: they will be needed in the market. They provide verticals, they provide platform systems that people need, they find useful that are great, and they have a great defensible business to be able to uh to be able to continue to be a revenue driver in the market and blackberry has an extensive line of enterprise partnerships, uh, incredible brand transformation management and the like, and we're witnessing that across all these partnerships that have happened recently. Furthermore, the government of Canada selects blackberry for secure productivity and secure communications incredible.

So this tells you even more what kind of situation we're dealing with. I mean the government of Canada also relies on Blackbeard for critical event management, but the day of the announced government can select blackberry for their secure productivity and secure communications. So we see that there has been this relationship established with government of Canada and in fact, government account understands the importance of what blackberry is doing and more than that, they also see how beneficial it is to their functions, their productivity and to their security. And it's I mean it's the government, it's a government of Canada, so it's its crucial to be able to supply secure platforms in a way that you can provide solid confidence, especially if you see the recent events that have transpired in the United States. I think the solar winds' fiasco gives you a little of an insight into how let's say competitive.

Different nations are against each other they're constantly trying to hack uh each other, and this gives me confidence that uh. That blackberry is a solution that at least, is competent enough to hang with the biggest governments. The biggest agencies across the entire world. Uh share and continues to do so. Shares to services, Canada sign a multi-year agreement, so it should be accredited towards the underlying revenue.

How large? That is, we don't actually know they tend not to deliver those different insights, especially on these press releases uh. That makes sense, given the fact that this could be an ongoing variable contract uh. The agreement cannot be, they may not be necessarily solidified from a from an ongoing revenue basis, there's always different conditions when it comes to these things that are not announced in the public and of course they don't tend not to be unless they're uh publicly broadcast, they tend not to be even sort of, let's say, communicated in the balance sheet, so we'll never really know, but I think this is more tells the story of the qualitative thing and in fact, john Chen. The CEO here, the new CEO of blackberry, came on 2013, says this blackberry and the government of Canada have been trusted partners for over 30 years, we'd like to expand our contributions to the government of Canada's agenda and deliver digital services that better serve Canadians shared services. Canada plays a critical role in Canada's transformation strategy, and we are very pleased to be their partner incredible.

So here are two great things: fantastic uh, large organizations with a heavy bridge of security are trusting blackberry for uh, not only putting them on the line from a brand perspective from a marketing perspective, but also harnessing the power of blackberry services and continuing to do so continue to trust them because they realize the power of blackberry's solutions and, despite all that, Blackbeard right now is a major five billion dollar corporate corporation. That has to do more than with the fact that their transformation revenue has been overshadowed by uh. You know a number of market conditions, especially in the automotive sector in the recent months, as well. Of course, a number of other situations. The fact that there have been, I think, they've, decreased now.80 percent of the revenue that used to come from hardware uh selling patents has been a thing that they've done also in the past and so forth. So they're really becoming a primary software driven corporation and, as you guys know, software is one of the most, if not at least in the present century, one of the most profitable things you can do, especially even at least having some sort of semblance of software from your business perspective.

On top of that, of course, uh they're also transitioning to a business model that I think is probably better, which will provide them recurring revenue with the AWS platform. Right now, I think it's by unit they're. They have a different kind of business model that tesla to be great for software uh, but to reincarnate revenue model that they're, hopefully going to provide with blackberry, ivy their new solution, their partnership with AWS for an iv data cloud platform, provider for vehicles and smart cities and IOT devices across the board, um intelligent device and, of course, provides SDKs for developers to easy, develop and on board developers. It's fun, they're involved. It's its fantastic news, I'm witnessing the transformation before our eyes.

In fact, now I don't even look at blackberry as a phone company. I see it as an intelligent security company, that's really making their mark, and I'm excited to see what blackberry can provide into the future. With that being said, we should caution everybody that their financials haven't been that super fantastic uh, they're predicting only eight to fifteen percent revenue growth. If you look at other cybersecurity corporations, they don't they have a lot heir. Sorry, a lot higher growth, a lot higher growth prospects.

So we have those conditions that we're truly dealing with um blackberry, ivy data platform isn't out, yet we don't know the conditions and how that will impact their bottom line. All those are, let's say, forward-looking statements, and we have to be clear about those statements. That being said, I am really pleased to hear this news. All the sources will description down below. If you want to hear what you guys think.

Do you guys agree with me? Do you guys understand why, despite all this fantastic news, this company, that I always hear good news about and the share price keeps falling? I don't really understand how this could happen uh, maybe it's because they don't release. Maybe more financial statements and so forth that regards that those agreements, I don't know uh what it is, what it is. The fact is that blackberry seems to have transformed right before my very eyes, and I'm I think, I'm delighted to see that as a Canadian and also as an individual who just likes companies and like cybersecurity as well and software I'll give a like comment subscribe. If you appreciate this kind of content, let me know your opinions suggest an opinion. It's not financial advice.

Take care guys have a wonderful day, bye, bye,.
