March gaming madness is here: the gaming phone season has started, and it's going to be a tight fight like keep us on the edge of our seats tight. Are you ready in this dark corner? I give you ROG phone 5. I promise this phone deserves that dramatic intro, it's that good, and you should believe us after reviewing one of their first in the series and chatting with the ASUS team about the BTS process. We have a good idea where the ROG shines and where it sucks honestly, I'm happy to see it do more of the former for all of our makes. Dog phone 3 didn't rock my world, as I hoped it would, but hey the 5 might actually do the trick in about a week. Dog phone 5 is going to rule them all man.
That line never gets old, who gaming phones? I guess how I'd say it's through audio a secondary display and battery okay battery. Isn't that exciting? But it's a lifesaver now I just know ASUS isn't going to skim over audio. They never did. I mean mobile gaming may seem like it's all refresh rates and mobile optimized content, but audio plays a huge part in the ROG ii. They came up with the spatial audio, and we could even set our sound scene all thanks to the DTS x ultra this year the phone 5 got top marks best marks in terms of sound from Denmark.
That's saying something I don't know the specifics yet, but it seems like the phone impressed with a wide, sound stage, low distortion and artifacts, even when you turn the volume way up. Of course, the two front firing speakers are back at it this time with direct tuning and the headphone jack with DAC another thing that got my attention is actually at the back of the phone seems like they're going to borrow a laptop feature for the 2021 model. By that I am referring to the dot matrix display. That's the dynamic display that had a cute animation showing off the ROG logo or anything you choose for that matter. I don't know how much use we'll get of that, but if you're customizing your phone until it's the coolest thing around and super personal, then you'll be glad our g5.
Has it not sure how big the actual customizable part will be? To be honest, I'd like it to be reasonably big, not taking over the whole back of the phone, but not tiny, either to the point you can't show off anything really and guys. Are you ready to enjoy the monster battery again a 6 000, William power cell? That will take the cake again with 65 watt charging in tow. I can't tell you how happy I am there's a gaming phone maker out there who gets that 4500 million power is not that impressive anymore, but you know, what's the question I always get and for gaming phones, really, you should kind of gloss overcome on. You know it. It's how's, the camera.
How do you think it is guys come on? You can't expect a gaming phone to compare to the pixels and ultras and iPhones of the world. That said, that's not the worst around I mean if you aren't looking for pro results, you'll get by just fine with the triple combo. You know the classic wide ultrawide, tell plus, don't forget. Asus is pretty crazy about tuning you're going to get so many things to play with and customize. You won't even give that a second thought- and if you do like I said march, is gaming phone month and actually there's the red magic 6 to consider it's gonna launch before the ROG 5, with a pretty awesome spec sheet.
If ASUS made you itch to get your wallet out, Nubia will blow your mind with numbers to start an insane over the top. Do we really need it refresh rate? I think ROG 5 will top at 144hz refresh rate, so obviously red magic 6 will go even further. We're talking 165 hertz refresh rate, the first ever on a phone that means buttery, smooth, silky, smooth, Philadelphia, cream cheese, smooth video and ASUS may celebrate the fact that it's going to be the first snapdragon 888 phones in India this march, but Nubia will be pretty proud of itself too. To that insane, refresh rate they'll, add 120 watts fast charging on a pro version. If you ask me, that's going to sweeten the deal quite a lot, because hey chances are red.
Magic 6 will give you a 4 500 William hour battery tops, but you know that doesn't mean they're not trying to see it like us. I mean they know how many users will play on the red magic hell. They teamed up with 10 cent. They know that battery is going to drop fast and heat will turn up even faster. So there is a cooling strategy in place like a real plan with fail safes.
It starts with a 20 000 rotations per minute fan that will get your phone to fly or okay levitate. If you need specifics, why don't you start with that cause? It seems catchy. I mean Nubia released a video showing the red magic hover. You remember that hover camera drone. Imagine that because of a fan, it's not impossible.
Just I'm saying, let's see to believe it anyway. Besides the fan, there's a maneuver setup with copper, foil dressing, up the battery, a vapor chamber and a graphic layer. All this, so you can play for more than two hours without it getting hot again I'll have to test it to let you know how true is that by the way, let me know if you'd like to see a test or a full review of the red magic, 6 or ASUS rog5. Thanks for watching guys and don't forget, you forgot a phone, oh yeah yikes I mean gee, can't Lenovo be a bit better at teasing their stuff. I mean when social media giants are caught, red-handed and teamsters make better renders than the actual official photos the cat's out of bag.
You can ditch the secrecy so guys. The phone I forgot about is legion, pro 2, not because it's going to suck, but because we just don't have enough info about it. Honestly, I bet it's coming late March early April, so stay tuned. I should have something for you pretty soon right now. I can only tell you: cooling solutions are on their agenda too.
A snapdragon 888 is obviously going to power. The whole thing and 16 gigabytes of ram is a given want me to make a video about legion pro 2. Soon, let me know in the comments subscribe and hit the bell button. If you want to see more videos like this see, you guys.
