This video is sponsored by own around this time of the year. Rumors for upcoming apple products run rampant throughout the internet and for the most part we have a pretty good idea of what's going to be announced in the following weeks, the one product that seems to never really garner the same amount of attention, in my opinion, as something like an iPhone, obviously is the Apple Watch, and so in this video we're going to go over everything you need to know about. The upcoming Apple Watch before we get started be sure to subscribe and hit the bell to get notifications. Whenever we share a video, the next Apple Watch, presumably called the Apple Watch Series 6 should be on its way and in years past a new Apple Watch would be announced and showcased alongside the new iPhones, but this year perhaps the biggest news surrounding the release of the latest Apple Watch is that it could come well ahead of the iPhone 12 announcement. Leaker john prosper has claimed that apple will release the Apple Watch Series 6 in September, with an announcement done via a press release. Apple has never decoupled Apple Watch releases from iPhone releases or even events for that matter.
So it's not yet clear if this information is accurate, but that's what we've been hearing lately apple in late August, registered eight new Apple Watch models alongside some new iPads with the Eurasian economic commission a filing, that's required ahead of any new product release. Oftentimes these filings mean an upcoming product launch and could quite possibly happen in early September. So what are the new features and updates that we could expect to see in the series 6 well, according to digitizes, the Apple Watch Series 6 will feature bio sensors that can monitor sleeping conditions, detect blood oxygen levels and measure pulse rates, heartbeats and atrial fibrillation, and will also incorporate memo based accelerometer and gyroscopes all allowing the new device to continue to lead in measurement precision among wearable devices. Now there has been some leaked code found in iOS 14 that has also previously suggested that apple was working on an Apple Watch that can detect blood oxygen levels based on that discovered code apple will provide notifications when blood oxygen levels drop below a healthy threshold, which is right around 95 to 100 saturation, a drop in blood oxygen level can suggest a serious respiratory or cardiac problem. Another rumor for the upcoming watch is that it will allegedly have mental health capabilities that will allow it to detect panic attacks or high levels of stress and provide breathing exercises to calm people down.
This feature may rely on heart rate data alone, or it may also take into account blood oxygen levels, but these rumors are mixed on what will be involved and if it does use heart rate, only this feature could be baked into older Apple Watch models, but if it relies on that blood oxygen monitoring, that's rumored for the Apple Watch Series 6. Well, then it could be limited to that specific model. Now, aside from those two features and a sketchy rumor about touch ID being baked into the digital crown, the Apple Watch Series 6 is also expected to include faster performance, better water resistance and improved wireless transmission for faster Wi-Fi and cellular speeds. It appears as though the series 6 aside from potentially featuring the ability to monitor blood oxygen levels, is really just going to be a bunch of smaller tweaks and improvements to go alongside its latest version of watch OS, which is watch OS 7 and that will offer up new features like custom watch faces the ability to share those custom watch faces with others or download some from the app store, a new sleep application and sleep tracking functionality, improved fitness, tracking, metrics and modes, cycling, directions in the maps, app automatic hand, washing detection and reminders, and much more now before we end today's video.
