Apple Watch Series 5 vs 6 - TOP The Features Worth The Upgrade?

So, I recently came from a series 5, and I upgraded to the series 6 not that I really wanted to, but for the purpose of this channel. I personally like to always review and talk about the latest product and in today's video I'm going to go ahead and share with you my experience for making that transition to the series 5 to the 6 to hopefully show you the real differences between the two, but also give you an idea if you should really consider upgrading from the series 5 or maybe, if you own, a series 4 to the latest series 6. Now the series 6 Apple Watch that I personally bought is the regular sport, aluminum body, 44, millimeter Apple Watch in that new midnight, blue color choice. So, besides having more additional options for the aluminum body, as well as a new option for the solo band available for the series 6. , let's go ahead and start off this comparison between these two apple watches. To really help you decide if you should really upgrade or not, let's get started so the first thing.

I immediately noticed when making this transition from the 5 to the 6 is that this display is significantly brighter not just indoors, but primarily outdoors when you allow the Apple Watch always on display to turn on there's a noticeable difference between the series 5 and the 6, especially when you're outdoors in direct sunlight. Now, from my personal experience, I haven't really noticed a drop in battery life percentage because at the end of the day, I'm still left with this very similar amount of battery life percentage like how my day will typically end with my series five. So this new enhanced lap l2 hardware, that's found on the series. Six, the bright length doesn't use up that much energy as I was originally expecting now: storage, wise storage capacity series, five and a series: four is exactly the same. A new ship that did get added to the series 6 is an u1 chip.

Now this is typically found on iPhones. This is a tool. That's used to identify certain products, certain Apple devices nearby, to allow you to locate that nearby apple price, so you can quickly airdrop it to that specific device. Now it's said that this u1 chip is being used for the upcoming apple air tags. That's basically like a little tracker that allows you to locate your devices faster.

So since this apple watches series 6 actually already has this innovated into its internal components. It's very likely it's going to utilize an upcoming feature that apple is about to release really soon now. This is currently only exclusive to the series 6. , even the new Apple Watch. Se doesn't have this, but if leaks and rumors are true about this new hardware, since it already has the u1 chip, it's going to allow you to locate your device in AR or something futuristic like that now for number three.

This is something that I overlooked, but, yes, it is true. Uh, the series 6 Apple Watch does charge a little faster compared to the series.5. apple advertises to be 20 faster in charging, so this is perfect if you actually rely on the sleep tracking abilities, a part of watchOS 7. Now the next difference between these two is Wi-Fi is significantly improved on the series, but in terms of downloading or sharing files. I have noticed an increase in speed, but I have noticed my notifications do come into my wrist, a lot faster compared to the series five, and this could be because it actually has two Wi-Fi broadband connection, supports 2.4 gigahertz network and 5 gigahertz network, and yes, like I stated I have noticed, an increase in download speed when it comes to installing apps. So touching back inside its internal components, it's processor, this new s6 ship, set that it has inside now.

The speed is mainly noticeable when you boot up the Apple Watch or have to reset it as the boot uptime. It's definitely a lot faster on the series six than the series five, but again when it comes to loading applications or lines in Siri. It's just like a second or half a second apart and obviously the new safety features. Yes, both of these apple watches do have ECG, which is great good for monitoring your overall health, especially since you could export the results into a PDF. But of course it's not like hospital grade or anything like that compared to their equipment, but it's close enough that should give you an estimate now.

The series 6, of course, has the new blood oxygen sensor which, from my experience it's pretty cool. Now I don't have any critical health issues or anything like that, but I still like to know this type of information, because why not? But that's not the point, I'm trying to say this thing actually works surprisingly, very well, randomly just take it in the background, just like heart rate sensor, and if you use sleep mode on the series 6 Apple Watch, it will also do it when you're sleeping. So it will log in all that information and will notify you if you notice anything out of the ordinary that you may want to go ahead and see a medical professional when using the blood oxygen center. It's really easy and fast literally only takes 15 seconds apple wasn't bluffing when they said that it literally does take about that time, and the animation is unique and satisfying to look at now. If you look on the back side, if you compare the two- yes there are additional sensors back here, it uses special lighting that allows the light to reflect off the blood cells and, like the darker, the blood cells, it should give the Apple Watch an idea of your blood oxygen level.

But again it's not hospital grade equipment, but it is close enough that will give you a general idea of your overall health, then the altimeter on the series 6 Apple Watch, if this is really useful, especially if you're a hiker, or you just enjoy seeing this data now, both of these app watches do have a built-in altimeter. It's just a series. Six, it's been noted multiple times from a bunch of articles, and I even noticed to that the altimeter on the series six is always on by that. I mean like it literally updates by the second. Even when your Apple Watch is not active is turned on.

This is an exclusive complication. That's only available on the series, six, not on the series five, but you can see that live information right there on your wrist. Instead of having to wake up the display on the series five, so that is it that's basically the conclusion between these two. So it's basically just this blood oxygen sensor, slightly faster processor, faster download speeds when you're connected to Wi-Fi brighter display, especially with the always-on display option, enabled- and I guess that new solo ban, but you could buy that separately. So that's why I have that last.

So if you are upgrading from a series 5, even if you're upgrading from a series 4 to the 6, let me know your reasons why you decided to upgrade for me again: I'm a tech geek. I somehow managed to make this into my job, but it's well worth it, because I'm able to help anybody around the world by just making videos and helping you to stay informed and for more upcoming Apple Watch stuff make sure you are subscribed, because I have a comparison against every single generation Apple Watch in the works, and you don't want to miss out on that video. So in the meantime, if you'd like to see more make sure to check out this video over here, so I go through my favorite settings that you should adjust that will unlock some new additional features with your Apple Watch and then that video over there that's just a video that YouTube is recommending specifically for you feel free to watch it or thanks. So much for watching, take care, and I'll catch. You all in the next one see ya.
