Make and receive phone calls, receive notifications, stream, music and podcasts and even use Siri without having to have your iPhone with you call last number calling my work number work for the Apple Watch SC, it's an additional 50 pounds to purchase the cellular model over the GPS, only model, and I believe it's an extra 100 pounds for the Apple Watch Series 6, but you will also need to purchase an Apple Watch airtime plan in addition to your iPhone mobile airtime plan, which will both use the same mobile provider as on your iPhone and for me, that's an additional five pounds a month on top of the eight pound a month that I pay for. My sim only deal with o2, so it's worth factoring in these extra costs. If you decide to buy the cellular model as they can add up, another key consideration is battery life.

The seller model of the Apple Watch will drain your battery more when in cellular mode, for example, when making phone calls or streaming music from the internet and not connecting via your iPhone or Wi-Fi, and I have indeed tested the battery performance of my Apple Watch SC in standard and cellular mode. In my first test, I listened to 30 minutes of continuous Apple Music radio for my watch in standard mode, which was connecting via my iPhone in my second test. I listened to 30 minutes of continuous Apple Music radio from my watch in cellular mode with both my iPhone and home internet switched off and in both tests the music was in standard quality, streaming mode playing through my hash Bluetooth headphones. Now, my results are only approximate, so please only use them as a guide, but you can still see a difference in battery performance between listening to music in cellular mode or standard mode, but even so the Apple Watch, SC in cellular mode, still gives you about six hours of streaming. Music from a full charge, so, in my opinion, that's not too bad.

So to summarize, before you decide to spend a little more on the cellular version of the Apple Watch, you need to ask yourself how much time in your average week will you be using your Apple Watch without your iPhone nearby and for most people that won't be very much and in those circumstances I would recommend purchasing the GPS, only model version of the Apple Watch.
