Apple Leather Folio Case review for iPhone XS Max in black

In this video I will be giving you a full review of the iPhone XS max leather folio case made by Apple here's a picture of the front of the box, and here is the rear, with some information about it, the materials and everything else and the enormous price tag of this case. I've been using this case for the past few days since launch day, and I've repackaged it exactly as it was for the full unboxing experience. You open the box simply by pulling hard on this tab here as there is a compression fit open. That up here is your another case. There's nothing else in the box and there's a print on bottom showing how they would like you to insert your phone into the game. So with that said, let me move that to the side.

Let's take a quick look at the exterior before installing my phone into the case, so in here there's a little placeholder for the inner wallet area of the folio cover, and that level indicator reminds you of that. Just pop this little placeholder out here, and you have a nice soft interior which will protect and keep your phone free from scuffs or scratches appearing if anything were to get stuck in there if the buttons are covered with these uh plastic overlays for the power and the volume up/down buttons and here's a cutout for your mute switch and the bottom is fully opened. So you have some very nice clean stitching, and it's pretty well-made. There are magnets within the cover for automatic, on and off of your phone as you open and close a flap, you have the Apple logo on the back there. As you see, they know that further.

If you let me install my phone into the case, and here it is with my iPhone XS Mac's installed into the case. It is say, very snug, clean, fit easy to get in and perfectly covers and contours to the shape of your phone. As you see the open bottom here, the edges are protected. So if you were to drop it, and you have the edge protection or if it fell flat, it would still be out protected. Provided the surface it falls on is completely flat with no protrusions, otherwise you're going to get some damage to the bottom of your phone.

Should it fall that way, the button feel is it's pretty good. It could be. It adds a little of extra firmness when pressing the buttons for the volume up/down and the power a little more so than when you're using it without the case I, don't like the cutout around the mute switch it's a little too deep and makes it noticeably harder to access it. Unless you have maybe really tiny fingers or like a good nail, it's definitely harder to get your finger in there, especially if you frequently use of the mute switch you're, really not going to be all that pleased with it, definitely a bit harder to get to that. Otherwise, the fitment is really nice.

There is a bit of a lip, a very slight lip on the face of the case, so should you drop your iPhone and the flap with a flap like that, if it should land poorly like that, there is some way on the table design. So if it were to fall on a completely flat surface, it doesn't have any raises in the surface, then your screen will be protected. Ideally, if you were to drop it, you'd want the flat covering the screen, but then that's another problem entirely and, as you can see, the flap does not stay in place at all. Oh well, it does turn your phone on and off. It does not stay in place at all that it's very loose.

So that is a little of a negative for me. Also have mixed feelings about the fact that when you have it flat like that without anything in the pouch, it's notice it's higher, normally higher than the top, and if you hold your phone in time when holding my phone also in a landscape position and know actually that when holding the phone in this position, I definitely notice the extra width of the back cover you know, I feel it wider. It feels more fatiguing. It feels a lot more comfortable to hold like that with, but holding it with the case folded back and the extra bit here. I, don't know it feels a little more tiring over time.

I, don't really I, don't really like it at all the feel of use. So that's another little gripe of mind, although I can see why there is extra space in the cloth so that way, when you're, if you fill out the folio with stuff in it to the point where it becomes that high, then it would be level now. Let me just demonstrate the couple of folds in here. You can hold some credit cards within this flap and paper, or what not adhere dollar bills will fit. I will show you right now it will fit, but it won't fit perfectly it'll be a little folded up.

Let me show you that now, so I'm going to put three cards here, I'm going to be putting in so let me get them in there now, but doing that off-camera. So, as you see uh getting this in here, it fits the exact width. So if you're off, you know, you're not gonna, get it in very well so one card and the last card is going to be like this legal card here. So that's three cards just to show you how much with three cards adds and how the height of this case nail looks with three cards in with three cards in the bone does still turn on and off, and now, let's put a few two bills in here: it's a stack of five dollar bills: okay, one two, three, four five! So let's fit them into the fold here left, but to be honest with this you're not really going to want to put a lot of stuff in it. Otherwise, it really does adversely affect the fit.

And how are you going to use it, but with five bills in their see it's a little too narrow for it to fit flat, but it does fit. I mean it's its good enough, and now you have doesn't really lay flat at all when you have it with that many bills in it, but take a couple out so with pls doesn't change it that much! Oh, so let's say you might want to throw something else, and there are a few parts anyway, a similar overall from impression the weather feels very nice and soft. Perfect cutouts around the rear camera areas. Well, the overlays of buttons do work perfectly fine, although I do feel like it takes a little more pressure to activate the buttons worth it on and a perfect fit around the phone itself. But I don't really like the way the flap works.

I mean I, really would have preferred that it be a little shorter. You know come to a little more level. I would have preferred it. Maybe a stronger magnetic closure, or some sort of you know flap around here to hold the top down. You know so ? I think pretty major complaints about it, so I mean those which were yield breakers right there for me that it's not comfortable to hold like this for an extended period of time because of the extra width in the back here and whatnot, and that this thing just opens away.

? recently would have liked a stronger closure, and otherwise it's made really nicely otherwise and of course, last complain about it, which is not about the product excel, but the price you know this sucker is $130 plus tax. It was 150. It's a very, very expensive for what you're really getting, so I couldn't really recommend it. Oh, no between that and the other points that I brought up I, don't think. I could really recommend this case.

I would go elsewhere if you wanted a folio so anyway, thank you for watching I hope. You found this video helpful in making your purchase decisions, and please like and subscribe. If you want to see more videos from me also, my next video I'll be doing an unboxing and review of my spec case for the iPhone XS facts so stay tuned to. That is why thank you for watching.
