Apple iPhone XR Unboxing!

Everyone Tim Schofield here and I did just get the brand new iPhone 10, R and I. Have it right here? This is the blue coloring and the amount of people I've heard say: iPhone XR has just been insane, so many people have called it. The XR anyways I'd like to go ahead and unbox. This guy show you real, quick. What's in the box, give some first impressions. This is the blue variant.

iPhone, 10, R and I also want to throw it up next to the iPhone 10s and 10s Mac. So you can kind of get a size comparison and see the differences between the two. So let's go ahead and get started, let's get started. So here is the 10r right here. I have noticed that the writing and the Apple logo is tinted a little blue, so I'm guessing all the other.

Colors will have different colored writing right there on the back. I did get the 64 gig model, and here we go. Let's get started so taking off the wrapping very simple process and then, if we go ahead and open it up designed by Apple and California, very classic set that to the side, because here is that phone flipping it over there is that blue coloring. Definitely a lighter blue, almost like a sky, blue and I will set that to the side as well. For just a second.

While we take a look at what else comes in the box are AC adapter, which is not fast charging just a little guy, unfortunately, hate that I have to be upset about that. Every time I open one of these boxes, nice that it does come with headphones, though, which are lightning connector headphones, there's their standard ones. These don't fit my ears, so they are actually worthless to me. They just can't stay in my ears, plain and simple. As that, then we also have the USB type aid, a lightning connector again wish it was USB type-c and that's about it, no dongle anything like that in this packaging.

So if you have 3.5 millimeter headphone, so you are and want to use them. You're going to have to buy a dongle or, of course, just use the included headphones and, of course, can't forget what is in this hello, get starting guide a sim ejection tool right there of the Apple logo stickers, and that's about it now that we have everything unboxed, let's go ahead and take the wrapping off the phone, very simple, just a one piece protector on the device: let's go ahead and press and hold the power button, a little cool to the touch at the moment it does have that those aluminum sides and, of course, the glass back now with the back just as iPhone right there reflective logo and text taking a closer look at the phone down at the bottom. Of course, the Lightning connector for charging speakers and microphone moving along to the right side is where that SIM slot is housed on the right side. You do have that bigger than usual power button moving up towards the top, you can see a bit of a camera bump with that single camera. On the back on the left side, here is your toggle for silent, ringer volume, rockers, that's about it and then here's just a closer look at the back of the 10r.

Getting a close look at that single camera as well. It does have a very premium feel to this place. I had to this device, I have to say, and then flipping it over on the front, looks like a bit more bezels than the newer models that are out even the iPhone 10 and then, of course, you have that notch up top anyways I will run through the startup process. Suddenly talk about anything that is noteworthy and yes, the 10r does have the face: ID, no fingerprint scan or anything like that seems to be the trend Apple's going with all their devices. Of course, the 88 plus having that fingerprint scanner.

Now, let's go ahead and set it up real, quick how to set up position your head and the camera frame: let's go ahead and get started. You'll see here, I am next to the camera. That is in my way, but a very simple process. That is all I needed to do. First, face ID scan complete, move your head slowly to complete the circle to do it one more time.

It's very quick second face ID scan complete, and it is now all set up ready to go. Let's continue through the process. I would like to add that the 10r does still a true tone display, with its 6.1 inch LCD Retina display, so you'll see here. Tapping on it just gets rid of that ambient light filter makes it a little cooler in terms of color and width that LCD it's not even a 1080p display the resolutions actually 1792 by 828, which is fairly low, which is, of course, why this is more of a budget device and so instructions on the gesture system that this phone has, which is the exact same as the tennis, tennis max, and the tents of switching between apps quickly, access controls in the upper right-hand corner and that's about it. Welcome to iPhone swipe up to get started right away.

Very noticeable d. Vessels on the side, of course, are definitely a little bulkier than other models. We'll show that off in just a second. This is the 64 gigabyte model. They do have higher models for storage, I, do want to jump into settings and go into storage like I.

Do in all my unboxing videos, you'll see eleven point. Three gigs out of these 64 gigs is used on the 10 arm. Now again, through those gestures, you swipe up and pause to get to your recent apps. You can swipe up to close those specific apps. You can also just swipe up to go all the way back home and then, if you want a quick swap between apps, let's say you're in a couple apps, you just go ahead and swipe down at the bottom left and right to quickly swipe through all those open, apps or those recent apps that you have and also noteworthy about this device.

It does not have 3d touch, so it's not pressure-sensitive in terms of the display, which is a bit of a bummer. In my opinion, I'm a big fan of 3d touch. Actually some people might not use it. I use it all the time on my other devices. Now this is a 12 megapixel lens on the back, which is also capable of 4k 60 frames, a second recording which is great- that Apple still included that and let's go ahead and open up the camera app, and here we go a standard camera app, look and feel just going through snapping some quick pictures, so you can see that shutter speed, also all the modes on the side.

You do a video slo-mo, you have a time, laughs mode. Then, of course you do have portrait mode to essentially use software to blur that background. Some more testing on that, of course, coming soon says no person detected square and a panorama shot mode and as promised a bit of a comparison, tennis max 10 s and 10 R. Let's go ahead and grab that 10 s, you can kind of see a size comparison, you'll notice, the 10 R is taller, it's also wider. So if I go ahead and put the screams together line those bottom left-hand corners up, you'll see it is not only taller, but it is wider.

So a bit of a more of a bigger footprint, of course, and you will notice just fewer bezels. So if I open up a display here, you will see here that the bezels just seem a little bigger on the 10r and then, of course, a comparison between the tennis max and the 10 R. You will notice the tennis max a little taller and also, of course, if I put this on top of each other, just a little wider, so the tennis makes a little wider and taller. So this is kind of the middle point between the tennis and tennis max I've also noticed. Since the 10 R only has a single camera, it rocks a lot less when you are using the phone on a flat surface, as opposed to the tennis and tennis Max, and that is, of course, because of that camera system, the 10 are only having a single camera versus the dual cameras on the other two and, of course, here's a look at all three of the backs.

I am starting to really like this blue color. Actually, it's a little different. A little more unique than the 10s colors, however I do like this gold color too. Don't get me wrong. Now, of course, similar.

Look aside from that dual camera system, of course, that flash is in a different spot of a very reflective, very fingerprint heavy on the backs of both and there's actually one slight difference about the bottom of these phones. If you look very closely at the bottoms, you will see that that lightning, cable on the 10r is just a little off-center as to pose, as opposed to the one on the 10s and 10s max, really not a big deal, but it is a little different. Next up, let's test out that face idea, I'm going to actually lock the phone unlock it while looking at the phone, and you'll see there up at the top that padlock did unlock, let's go ahead and try it one more time: I'm, not looking I'm gonna, swipe up and look down, and there you go, seems to be very quick, very accurate, I'm looking at the phone that padlock just unlocked as well so seems to be very accurate and quick as expected. Apple does an amazing job with their face unlock and, yes, it is a bit of a learning curve. So if your phone is on your desk, no, it's not going to recognize your face.

You're going to have to lift it up tilt it towards your face. I find that in bed it's a little difficult and if he at times, if it's going to find my face, but other than that it seems to be very quick, very accurate in a lot of scenarios depending on, if you're, actually looking at it or not. But overall, that's about it. That is everything I wanted to cover on the iPhone.10 are hopefully enjoyed the video if they click that thumbs up be sure to subscribe as well for more content and as always guys. Thank you very much for watching.
