Apple iPhone 7 Plus Jet black Unboxing and Review By Digitales

™? Let's go (funky music) (high pitched music) (funky music) - Hi YouTube, welcome to Digitales. I'm Olivia and today we're gonna be unboxing and reviewing the new iPhone 7 Plus in Jet Black. We're also then gonna do a bit of a comparison on a performance basis between the 7 Plus and the 6S Plus. And then later I'm gonna go for a walk around London and see how the camera on the 7 Plus compares to the Fuju XT2. For now, we'll start the unboxing of the product. So thus far we've got plastic cellophane on the top but it's got a good little label here so it makes it quite easy just to fall off like this.

So first of all, what's noticeable about the new 7 Plus Jet Black is the nice black box it comes in. Okay, then we've got the Design By Apple in California label right there at the front. Okay, just put that there, take the plastic off the phone. Okay, and there we have it, the new 7 Plus in Jet Black. (pleasant music) Okay, so I'll just put that there for a minute and have a look at what else is inside the box.

So we've got the headphones which come with the adapter. Alright, let's just take these out. I'm interested, I'm intrigued to have a look at this because there's been, there's been quite a lot of controversy, obviously, over the removal of the headphone jack. So this is the adapter you get. I do think it looks like it's probably bigger and longer than necessary.

I am probably going to opt for some wireless headphones. And what else we have in the box, we've got charging adapter, the UK and then we've also got the cable as well that goes with it. And that's everything that's inside. So there's three obvious physical differences when we look at the new 7 Plus. First of all, the lack of the headphone jack, which I think has been the most controversial.

The space that was being used for the headphone jack has now been replaced by the Haptic Engine, which now is what provides touch feedback. The second most noticeable difference is the camera on the back, so we've now got two lenses, one that provides wide angle and one that provides more close ups. So for the first time, we've got optical zoom on the 7 Plus. The third most obvious physical difference is the button here on the front. So it's no longer a mechanical button.

It's now a touch IV sensor and it also, the Haptic Engine is what you provides you with the feedback so that you know that you're pressing down. So a few other differences that we've got in the new 7 Plus is first of all, we've got a bigger battery. So the 7 Plus actually gives you an extra hour of battery life. It's also more powerful so we've got 3GB of Ram over the 2GB of Ram in the previous model. I think one of the exciting features is it's now waterproof.

So the phone can now last up to 30 minutes in up to a metre of water. Okay, so now I just wanna look at how the 7 Plus looks in comparison to the 6S Plus. Generally, when you look at them, they look pretty similar. I think with the Jet Black, the finish, it's really, it's so different. And it feels so different as well.

I think physically, I do actually prefer the Jet Black. It's got such a nice shine to it. It really makes it feel like more of a luxury product, which is typically the route that Apple tried to go down anyway, so I think it's great. One thing that Apple has already mentioned is that the new Jet Black color is, does actually make it easier to scratch and I have to say, I've already noticed just in the last few minutes that we've had it out of the box, that my fingerprints have already started to show up all over the back of the phone, which honestly, I think is gonna drive me crazy to no end so I'm definitely gonna have to get a nice case for it. I'm just gonna do a quick performance test by having a look at which one of the phones boots up faster.

Ready, go. - Round one, Fight. - Oh, don't know if you guys saw that. But the 7 Plus definitely came up with the Apple logo much faster than the 6S Plus. I've just noticed as well, that the Jet Black one, it's got black screen with a white Apple instead of a white screen with a black Apple.

Oh, okay, so this one's done it much faster. So wow, that's quite a big difference. I'm quite surprised, I thought it would be like milliseconds but that was like a good, like two solid seconds that the Jet Black 7 Plus booted up faster, that's pretty impressive. ♫ Let's go (funky music) So just gonna go for a walk over Embankment Bridge and hopefully get some good shots around South Banks. (funky music) ♫ I would float forever if I had my way ♫ One more wave before I finish for the day So just jumping between the one and the two so we can see the difference between the two lens.

So this is the first one. Amazing view, right? And here we go, the second one, much closer up. (shutter snapping) Great. Some classic London Street entertainment. (funky music) Time for a quick lunch break, got some Yoda.

♫ Before it's gone to rest ♫ Long enough to promise all of it's best (funky music) So we managed to get some great photos so far. But what I'm really looking forward to is some of the new geography features that are gonna come out with IOS 10.1 so we're gonna get is a Portrait feature, which is gonna use the two lens in the 7 Plus so that it can pinpoint who the person is within the photo, focus on them and blur out the background which I think's gonna create some really cool effects. Another feature that I'm looking forward to in 10.1 is the ability to shoot Raw which is a little bit like my Fuji XT2, so I'll be able to shoot uncompressed photos rather than just JPEGs. Okay, so I'm just gonna test out what it's like using wireless headphones considering now we no longer have a headphone jack. So I'm borrowing one of my friend's Bose, Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones.

So I'm just gonna press play and see what it's like not having a wire attached to me. (funky music with vocals) Really good. (funky music) It makes it so much easier. I feel like I could just throw my phone over there. I won't, I'll hold onto it.
