Hey, what's going on everybody, this is Tyrone back with tech, life and I wanted to make this video, because I think this is a very, very important video. A lot of you, Boost Mobile customers have asked questions. In fact, you've had more questions than you've gotten answers, so I wanted to make this video. This is kind of a first part, because there's going to be more info available, so I wanted to make this, for you guys. I hope you guys can hear me clearly, and I want to make this with a lot of confidence from the info that I've gained over the last few months and then also with the recent info. Some of you have been following the channel for some time now, so you guys, you guys, know I'm very knowledgeable on this, so I wanted to start it off with what happens to the Boost Mobile customer in terms of network.
That's the first information that we've received so on the 28th of April and I will leave this article in the description down below from best MVNO. So you guys can also check it out for yourselves. So, on the 28th of April 28th of April, there are gonna, be test markets, trial markets and what's going to happen in those markets, the Boost Mobile customer is going to now operate on the T-Mobile network. This is not roaming. This is none of the extended roaming deals that Sprint has with T-Mobile.
You are going to be moved over to the T-Mobile network under dish. That was the original agreement with the divestiture that within 30 days of the merger, closing dish would inherit the Boost Mobile customers. Now one thing we don't know is your plan going to stay the same, is your pricing going to stay the same? In my opinion, I'm going to say yes, but we don't know for sure. But what we know for sure is that middle of May they have- they have a tentative schedule of when all the Boost Mobile customers are going to be moved on to the T-Mobile network. Now that was the original agreement through dish.
Dish is going to have a seven-year deal with being an MVNO partner with on the T-Mobile network. Now the original agreement was that they would have certain priority, but the Department of Justice have has restricted that. So now the dish Wireless customer, which is the Boost Mobile customer, is going to have full access to the T-Mobile network. Now here's the information that's going to come from me and where I think this could backfire a bit. So if you guys have been following my video I've said in in in some of my videos that there are roughly 22 million sprint customers that have capable devices to be made use on the T-Mobile network for the Boost Mobile customer, that's going to be far, far less so there is gonna, be an issue on the device side and what I mean by that.
So there's going to be a case of you having a boost mobile device, and it's either not compatible with some T-Mobile spectrum bands or it's not compatible with the software on the voice over LTE side. So you are more than likely going to experience issues from this from the switch over from the Sprint network to the T-Mobile network and, like I, said this is not a roaming deal. This is not a know, extended roaming agreement. This is literally switching the Boost Mobile customer to the T-Mobile network. You're going to be a native T-Mobile network user once this is done.
So this is kind of I want to say, sort of short notice, but I'm making this video for you guys. So you guys have a heads-up. You are more than likely going to be notified via email or a letter in the mail, but it's going to be short notice. I think the retail units are still gonna, be open for boost for you to purchase a device, but other than that you are potentially going to experience network interruption at first. If you didn't purchase a new device or your device is not compatible with the T-Mobile network and what I mean by that also is.
You could have a device that is partially compatible with the T-Mobile network, so they could hold that against you as well. So let's say your device makes use of two or one of the spectrum bands from T-Mobile, so the device is gonna work on T-Mobile, but your speeds are gonna, be much, much slower. So your overall experience is not that great, so if it doesn't have banded 4 bands to band 12 bands 71 or if it only has been to let's say your device supports band 2 and may be banded 4. So now yeah you can, you're a customer you're on the T-Mobile network. But then T-Mobile is gonna, say well, you don't have the full capabilities of the network because of the device.
So now your customer experience has gone. You know from good to bad, so those are just some same of the issues that could be presented with this. That I wanted to. Let you guys know and like I said: I will leave this in the description down below, so you guys could check it out and read it for yourselves. It's quite long, but I wanted to I wanted to give you guys the more harsh facts of what could happen from this.
So my recommendations, if you can get a new phone through Boost Mobile and ask them if that phone is compatible with the T-Mobile network. I myself, for you guys I'll, go ahead and check out the Boost Mobile website to see what kind of devices they have, and then I'll. Let you guys know if you want to see what is compatible I'll do that research, but it may be costly. You know they may say: hey. You need a new iPhone boom.
Now you got to spend, who knows seven, eight nine hundred dollars, so this is the only issue that I could see from this happening is the Boost Mobile customer is gonna. Have the full period Boost Mobile customers period are gonna, have far less capable devices than the Sprint customer. That's the only issue that I see from this, of course, as soon as find out more about new plans or if you're going to keep the same plans, I will let you guys know, of course, but for now it seems that the Boost Mobile customer may run into issues with not having a full capable device or a device, that's not capable at all for the T-Mobile network. So again, let me know in the comment section down below how you feel about this. This may have been a bit of a longer video than I wanted to make, but I just wanted to make everyone aware.
You know this. This is gonna, be very harsh and cutthroat for some of you, especially right now with the issues that we're dealing with. But if you are a Boost Mobile customer, you may need to get a new device here in the future, and you may be, like I said you may be notified by the company Dish wireless. If you need a new device, they may send you a letter. They may send you email, but the reason I'm, making this video ahead of time, because I think they're gonna.
Do it sort of short notice, they're gonna, send you say a know and who knows I, don't know how this dish Wireless is going to operate. They may not notify you at all. You may just not have any service come time when they switch the network and then you call in, and they tell you, you need a new phone I. Just don't fully know how this is gonna all take place, but I'm trying to make this video to give everyone a heads-up. Is this necessarily 100% concrete that this is going to take place? Who knows, but I know the first 30 days of switching over to the network.
I think that was originally planned and, as this article says, it is going to take place on the 28th. Some test markets. Don't quite know the test markets. Yet if I do find out, I will give you guys an update, but the full nationwide launch is set for the middle of May, and then we don't know you could be. You could be notified.
You can kind of say, I'm, notifying you guys now, whoever watches this video I hope a lot of Boost Mobile customers watch this video, so you can have a heads-up in the back of your mind if, in the middle of May or on the 28th, your device doesn't work anymore. Now you know why, so I just wanted to say you know that I hope this is not affecting a lot of you I'm sure some of you had will, but again I just wanted to again, like I said: I have no loyalty to any company and I think this is. This could be one of the bad parts of this merger is the boost customer, which is your know the say the low-cost customer not having a device, that's up to par with the full capabilities of the T-Mobile network. So let me know what you think about all this in the comment section down below like I said: I'll: do that research maybe make even a video about it, letting you guys know which devices are capable, or I think are the best. You may not need the top-of-the-line, but you need at least a device that makes you Sean, 71 I, think so because there's a large part of the country.
Now, if you are traveling that you wouldn't have any service, because T-Mobile has been 71 rolled out there, and they're covering that with the lobe, and so let me know, let me know about all this in the comment section down below. Let me know what you think about this again. I just wanted to make this video, giving you guys a heads-up. I, don't want to be the know the carrier of bad news, but I think this needed to this needed to be this video needed to be made. It needed to be said and, like I said, I will let you guys know the minute.
New information comes out, I'm keeping track with a few people. Peter Atherton, the founder of Boost, he's not happy at all about it. He in fact he's thinking about you know reaching out to judge Kelley, and maybe you know doing something on that end. So I will let you guys know if, as soon as the update comes out, but for now this is the case. This is the scenario again check out the article in the description down below.
So you guys can read it. So if you are new to the channel, make sure you like share subscribe, also hit the notification bell, so you are notified when I upload content again I know some of you are calling it out that I keep saying the same thing, but this is just the ending of the video.
