Alcatel Flip Phone - Access SIM Card and Remove Battery By Tech Talk

Hey there friends on today's video, I'm going to show you how to access and remove the battery on this ATT Alcatel flip phone. Now this is the one obviously by at t, but this will be very similar for any of these flip phone models that are in this specific generation. So let's go ahead and get into it. Okay, so to remove the battery, you first need to power off the phone. You just don't want to hard cancel on the phone without shutting it down. So first thing we're going to do to shut down is just hold down that red button for roughly three seconds here.

We may actually have to do that once we get there, we go into the home menu. I'm going to go down to the power off button, and we'll let that just power down. So once the phone is powered down, we're actually going to be removing the battery by removing the back casing right here of the phone and to do this, you can see on the bottom. Just barely there's this little notch. That's right in here that you can kind of get in with your fingernail, and I'm just going to pry up on that area and, as you can see, the back starts popping off.

You have to use a little of force here, be careful, you don't want to go just ripping things, but this basically pops off just like that. You can see, there's quite a few tabs around the sides there put that off over here, and now we have access to the battery so to remove the battery. Obviously we can just come in here, and we can remove it just like that, and then that's also where we're going to access our sim card, so the sim card obviously will slip right in there and then this thing can kind of cover it and keep it nice and secure, and then you can put either a new battery or your same battery back inside friends.
