ZTE Axon 10 Pro Uboxing and Review!

What's going on YouTube, this is what would you it? This is an exciting video. The ZTE messaged me out of nowhere. It was like hey. Would you like to check out a new phone, oh and by the way, it'll have 12 gigs of ram and a crap ton of storage like 256 gigabytes or something ridiculous such as that I talked about it on Twitter and some people guess different phones, but everyone got it wrong? Alright, so in here we've got our new phone, the ZTE axon 10, Pro, 12, gigabytes of RAM, 256, gigabytes of storage. Let's check it out, all I got was just a big number 10 on it like, like you, can't get any louder than that. Alright, so here's the phone! Let's take this off, oh my gosh, that's amazing I've been using a pixel 3 for a hot minute now, since it released, so it's going to be nice having a bigger phone and the cases make this screen make it look a little bigger than it is the pixel.

But let's check and see what else comes in the box. I like how its labeled we've got the sim card. Ejector tool and the instruction booklet, and then in here it shows that we have the charging brick. Let's go ahead and check that out. So it's USB, it uses Qualcomm quick charge.

So that's 5, volts at 3, amps, 9, volts at 2, amps or 12 volts at 1.5 amps, and then we have some accessories in here. So we have the USB a2 type, C charging cable, and then we have so 3.5 millimeter headphones. They look just like Apple earphones. Does this have a headphone jack? Does it no? Why does it include that then? Oh, I see man. ZTE are all excited about a moment there I thought wasn't going to have to use this guy, so you will be to use this adapter to use headphones.

But let's take a look at the phone that looks really, really nice. Just look at it. It looks freaking beautiful. It's got two cameras and a sensor or camera there and a flash and optical image stabilization. Maybe with that's what that means, not quite sure, but you've got your SIM card at the bottom.

There you've got the type C Jack, your speaker, a looks like every. Like a power button or possibly like record or picture, if something's got a red thing, there's climb up and down another microphone and very clean. Let's turn it on now, I'm going to put my T-Mobile SIM card in this thing, and I'm going to make this my main device. This is gonna, be my daily driver. I am going to use this thing every day for at least a week of the minimum at the very minimum.

That way, I can give you a good idea on if it's a phone that I'm going to keep now. This is a special moment. You may ask yourself why it's a special moment, because the SIM card has not left my pixel. In fact, oh it's at the bottom on there as well. It has not left my pixel since I got it.

It might be going back on my pixel in the next week or two. Maybe it won't, and it's got expandable storage. Would you look at that? ZTE Jesus, Christ, expandable storage. Let's connect to our Google Fiber a Wi-Fi. It says volt eat the top there voice over LTE interesting.

It's got little indicators for activity on the Wi-Fi, which is pretty cool, haven't seen that on the phone in a minute. Okay, so I, don't know anything about this phone at all. I signed in my Google account, and now it wants me to use a fingerprint I, don't know where the fingerprint is, though. Oh, it's in the middle of the fricking screen very interesting. I've never had one with it in the middle of the screen.

I know of my wife's 1, plus 60 or 1, plus 7, and whatever 1 plus she has I. Don't know, she's got one of the newer one plus, and it has one in the screen. Furthermore, I'm going to go ahead and choose the swipe navigation, because that's what I'm used to on my pixel, but there we go. That is a massive screen compared to what I'm used to it really does feel like a humongous screen compared to the five-inch one that I'm used to on them. Maybe it's a little bigger, I'm, not quite sure out babies.

I know this is a six point: four seven not shot bag. The pixel three non-XL as though so one thing I am liking, is without downloading anything. Yet there's nothing in my apps. Just the bare essentials' office suit is maybe something extra and game assist. I haven't seen that one before DTS, ultra so other than that everything on your is pretty standard on what you'd find on the stock Google device.

That's awesome! So, under the camera app you can do 4k, 1080p or 1080p 60 frames, and I'll be back in about a week. Maybe two we'll see it'll give you my final impressions of the phone after using the phone for a bit alright. So it's been about two weeks since what you just watched at that first part. This is gonna, be my thoughts and sort of review. I'm, not a reviewer I.

Do not feel I am someone who is capable of reviewing a device I'll leave that to the pros they're, huge channels, so, unfortunately, I won't be doing anything like camera quality. I pointed out something I use all the auto features: I press the capture button and I upload it. This device feels great I, absolutely love the increased screen size. It also makes me not want to use my pixel three just based on that. One of my biggest complaints and gripes with this phone is the screen.

It looks perfect. It's a very bright, and I've truly enjoyed it, but I do not like that. What I'm trying to hold it I'm, always almost at all times touching somewhere on the screen. So one of the games I've been playing, is Township and when I hold my phone like this I find myself always like going to press something, and it's not registering that I pressed it because my other my finger or something is touching somewhere else on the screen. So I'm going to order a case for this phone, and that would solve a lot of the issues with the screen going to the edge of it and then some text.

If it's on the very edge right here, since it's kind of curved, it will get cut off, and it will be hard to read. It would be hard to provide an example right now, but sometimes some of them pops up on the bottom, and it's just it's a little harder to read because the screen doesn't end like it normally does. It ends with a curve. So not a fan of that. But I know that's how the note and some other devices work as well just prefer the good old-fashioned square display with the sharp edges and things being readable kind of reminds me of the Moto 360 watch and how some text would be hard to read because of the know rounded screen, but that's just the text in the very edge of the screen anyways.

It is a very fast phone like you have no clue so. Let's open up I've been playing with this app here called CPU GPU meter, and you can see that it goes up to 2.8 gigahertz, which is insane. This model has more RAM than I will ever use on a smartphone look at this 11 gigabyte, 11 and a half gigabytes, and if I open up the Droid info, you can see that we are running at 60 Hertz. You can see all eight cores what their term rowing up to. You could see the kernel type and the instructions which is arm 64 and v8 a's using the Adrian 640 for the GPU, and we have an insane amount of internal storage.

So one thing I really like about that is I- could take all the photos. I want I could record all the high quality 4k video I want. I can install all the huge apps I want like games. Furthermore, I might sometimes play, but not all the time and typically like. If you have 64 gigs you're like okay may I'll run out of room, maybe I won't be able to take pictures or photos or videos, you know, and you, so you move them off of your phone with this much internal storage.

I, don't have to worry about it and I can add more storage with the micros card expansion before I show you kind of like that. What I'm trying to show you I also want to point out. The speakers on this thing are pretty loud. This definitely is a good device for consuming media with the screen and with the loudest of speaker, one complaint I have, is its just one downward firing speaker? That's it that's it! So if you hold the phone like this you're, not going to block that speaker, but if you are holding it the other way, you're totally gonna 100% cover up all the sound one thing I really like about Android is all the things you can do. So this program is called an auto click.

If you hold down the plus button, you can make this little thing here. That's like a swipe, so it's going to emulate that I'm swiping and then, when I hold. This I can set this to 200, which is to me, I found the sweet spot so 200 and then okay and play that, and so now I can just relax and come back to having a bunch of cash, because I have a lot of cash and I can convert that and no monkey drops and so now I have my cash going up, and I'm not touching my phone because of this Auto click your app. So it's pretty awesome I need to do what's my phone I need to do, reviews on apps I'm very aware: I am very where I'm so sorry, I'm slacking I, don't have the motivation I used to have it at this current time and partially because of the way YouTube has handling my channel and disabling all comments, and nobody can say anything they want to say at all, and I always try to reply to everybody, but anyways I'm I'm losing some stuff here. So I'm going to go ahead and close that out, and now I can go ahead and start putting in things and there we go, so I have played this to the point where I'm, like I've, had a Sun God a true Sun God I've got a bunch of planes and helicopters all flying around, and this thing it's not lagging.

You know, unlike my note, 5 I, believe and some other phones when you put that many things in the screen at once. Oh my gosh, if the game is playing frame by frame in with my little CPU, monitor app I'm, only using like 30% of the processor, with like the entire screen filled with these little things that are maxed out completely. All of them, like my super monkey, just having everything everywhere and this device does not slow down. So what I've tried to say is this is a fast little device and when I say little, it's not little at all. I chose this layout.

You can choose different ones, but I made it look kind of like just a normal pixel, where you pull this up to get to your apps, and you do this to get to your recent apps, and then you can also just swipe on the bottom here and left and right to get to your recent apps. This device supports quick charging, so I'll use my anchor power delivery device here, and then we're going to charge it up, and it's got this really neat little animation when you plug it in that lets. You know that it's charging quickly, which is pretty cool and talking about battery life. This thing gets me through a day he easily. This thing has a lot more battery life than our pixel 3.

Now I want to be very fair. My pixel 3 is a device. I've had for quite a while now, and I have so many apps like Reddit, Twitter YouTube, so many apps that are constantly syncing immediately I, don't have anything set to battery saver or to reduce the amount of battery that gets used. I literally I could get much better battery life by I. Have a desk job I'm, always near charger.

Furthermore, I've got tons of little things like these, and I can top off and with quick charging it doesn't take long to get a full charge and with a big battery it lasted quite a while so 4000 mAh I did notice that the design of this phone, not only is it a fingerprint magnet, it gets kind of dirty, but it resembles an another phone very closely, but it looks really, really nice. It's pretty slippery honestly I cannot wait to get a case and just literally holding this the phone like this. You could tell that I am touching the side here. So that's just a problem always going to have a tool, I get a case, and then that will solve it. So, let's talk about this in screen, fingerprint, so I'm, a pixel guy I've always had it on the back and I love it.

There I pull it out on my pocket, I'm good to go, so this is the first device I've had with it in the screen. Of course, I've had minis Tim Suns. So it's down here at the bottom, but this is the first one in the screen, and it's pretty quick I mean it's not. There are some devices that can unlock faster, but it's its pretty freaking quick, so, like I'll show you I cannot get in it press my finger on the screen, and I'm in, so it's uh, it's pretty responsive. It's pretty quick and I, don't mind it I, don't mind it, of course, having on the back for so long I kind of liked it there, but ah I can't get used to it.

So my goal was to use this for two weeks. Say: hey: is this a device capable of replacing my pixel three? The screen on it? Is its bigger the battery's bigger it's I wanted this device to replace some pixel three and to be completely honest with you. It has for the foreseeable future until the pixel four or some other phone happens. That is new and possibly better, we'll see. Maybe I go back to this one, but I really like having so much RAM.

You know I think my pixel 3 has like 4 gigs of RAM I. Think I'm not quite sure but uh. You know, I use a lot of apps and I do a lot of things so having the 12 gigs of RAM is insane I. Think even six is six: it's probably the sweet spot. It's like! Oh, cool! You got some! You know some extra room to play with and then 12 is just absurd.

I think all phones should have 128 gigs of storage. Moving forward, you know, apps and games are getting humongous. You know bring early record at 4k and some phones doing 60 frames per second. Those files are gonna, get massive really quickly. I do like how the phone doesn't come with anything that you don't need out of the box, it's great.

So all the extra little things I've added I've downloaded these, because I wanted to download them like ampere, for monitoring how fast I'm charging and with a power delivery I'm charging about 2.3 amps when I did look at it. The last time and remember, depending on how full your battery is it's going to charge faster or slower or in how hot your battery is and lots of different variables. The screen looks great. The sound is great. The notch on the top is very minimal, and it doesn't bug me too much, because I realized that it's 2019 phones are trying to go edge to edge with the highest screen to body ratio possible where there's just basically all scream and that's it, so they've got to put the sensors somewhere else, so I don't mind it being at the top too much, and it's pretty small.

It comes with Android 9. Hopefully they updated to Android 10, so we could have built-in dark mode which happened enjoying on my pixel and I. Just I cannot get over how fast this is like when I opened this app up on my daughter's phone on her g6. This little bar right here is down there forever and on this phone you barely even see it. You cannot even begin to tell you how fast, not only processor, wise but storage wise, how fast this is so combined with the read and write of the internal file system that Android uses and the CPU going to 2.8. Gigahertz like this is just so stinking fast.

You just lit. You have no fricking clue. I can go between my zoo and back home, go to my zoo and to back home that I can go to my ship here, and then I can send it off to an island and then go back home, and it's just so fast and then, when you compare it to a device such as the Fire HD 8 hour, just this, because it was a Prime Day sell for $49.99 couldn't pass up an 8-inch tablet for $49, but it's getting harder and harder to use this thing, because just how fast this phone is like this phone honestly feels faster than my pixel 3. It really does so here we are we're loaded into the game. So I'm going to go to my zoo, and you can see that there's a delay, it's not huge! It's not the worst thing ever, but it's enough to make me want to prefer my other phone so now scrolling around it's.

It's not bad, doesn't lag that bad and then, when I go to my ship here and then go back home, sometimes that's worse, but definitely the longest is loading the zoo and then going back home like that. Doesn't look that bad, but when you're used to liking the iPhone X and now this phone, where the moment you press that button you're taken back instantly, you can feel that this device is slower. It's nice having a bigger screen, of course, and for the $49 price tag, that's just hard to beat so shouldn't you buy this phone. The price I saw online, which may not be correct, was about 549, and I'd, say that's pretty fair! That's pretty fair I would be hard to tell you to spend 549 on this and not go for like a Pixel 3a. That's like 399 and possibly lower, and the pixel 4 comes out because it's have been cheaper.

It's going to come and row 10 out of the box, and you're going to get you know. Just the latest Android updates period, this device definitely has more performance, a lot more memory, a lot more internal storage if it feels great I, I love this phone and no I'm not going back to our pixel 3 right away. You know something like angel or 10 or Android 11. If this device stays one intro 9, and we can enjoy an 11 yeah I'll go back to the pixel. That's the problem with the phone like this.

Are you really are at the mercy of the company, providing an update to you quickly and not making you stuck on something? That's old when all the people with pixels are enjoying 2 3, you know you're on Android, 8, 9, Android 11. You know like that, like 2 or 3 different versions of Android ahead. So if ZTE can keep up with updates, then 100% I recommend this device. This is a great. This is fast snappy, I love it once I get a case literally.

My only complaint right now will be resolved, and I won't always be touching the screen when I'm holding it, sorry. This video was so long. I hope you enjoyed it. Please leave a rating, let me know what you did or didn't and for now, if you want to leave your thoughts on this, please comment on my Instagram or mention me on Twitter I'll have a link to those in the description below this is what, with Josh, do an amount.
