Zenfone 8 & Zenfone 8 Flip Unboxing - Confusing! πŸ’§πŸ’§πŸ’§

I, like Asus, they have a relatively clean line up, ? I mean with say, Samsung, Realm, Xiaomi, Redmi, Polo, Vito, OPP, and recently even OnePlus. It's like ? enough, enough ? too many releases -. On the other hand, Asus has the flagship & Pro,, the max and then the DOG which they recently diluted. But u get the idea ? for the most part, Their line-up is pretty clean and simple -. In fact, this is the only brand where ppl have been ?, where is the damn max? Where is it? We want them to release another phone. Now this time, tho ? their line, up, its gotten a little muddy with the 8 and 8 flip -.

Why do I say that? Well watch on First? Let's start with the unboxing So guys. This is the before 8 flip, and we get the regular stuff, before 8 flip branding, ASUS, branding ? again before 8 flip ? lets now go ahead, opening it up BTW. If it wasn't obvious from all this, branding, I picked these phones up from 28mobile. com, who are the sponsors for this video -. If there's any phone, that's unavailable in your market, any different kinda phone, your flips, your folds, do check out 28mobile ? odds.

Are they have it in stock, They, ship, quick and offer great service I'll leave a link to 28mobile in the description. Below, do check em out I like that 8 branding, Is it a reflection, Is it a shadow ? now, let's repeat the process with the before 8 again, the regular stuff to the back lets now open up the boxes first before 8, and now the before 8 flip defy ordinary -. The placements are diff on both phones, Now, when you take these inserts out, The first thing you see is a sim ejector pin, an ASUS branded sim ejector pin -. That is followed by some information booklets like the user guide, and then there is a case ASUS have not gone with a CPU case. This is not a soft case, It's hard plastic ? I like how it's got a pattern to the back along with subtle, ASUS branding -.

It's the same with the flip case, not a flip case, but the before 8 flips case. ?. U get what I'm saying -! It's got this tiny little thing to the top here. This physically stops the module from flipping -. U can toggle it on if you wanna, ensure the camera doesn't flip.

But. In my experience with suss flip cam seas, I've rarely had em flip when I didn't want them. To ? the case, apart from that, is identical to the before 8s -. And u know why I'm showing you all this because I, want? U to know I'm using a macro lens so now pulling out both these phones, They look nice, the before 8 is a lot smaller ? lets now peel the plastic off the 8 flip, and it's time to do the same with the 8 ? okay, the finishes are different, The 8 has a frosted matte kinda finish to the back. I, like the minimal before branding on both phones.

The 8 flip has that flip camera. Of course ?, it also has a glossy reflective finish ? now for a quick look around the devices, both have accented power, keys, something I, really loved on pixels -. The volume keys are also present here to the right ? to the top. We have a secondary noise-cancelling microphone and the 8 comes with a headphone jack, while the 8 flip doesn't ? to the left, we have a tray on the 8 flip -. These offers dedicated micro, SD support, something not found on the regular 8 -.

Instead, we have just a dual sim tray to the bottom-. Both phones also have an USB type c port, microphone, speakers and a notification LED here. ? do note that there's stereo speaker support on both ? and, of course, we have some differences with the rear, cameras 2 on the 8 and 3 on the flip ?, so the 8 lacks telephoto, while the flip lacks IS -. Well talk about all this in a bit. So now, let's get back to the rest of the box.

Contents. Both phones have an USB type c to type c cable and a 30w charger. This should get the flip from 0-60 in 35 is minutes and the 8 from 0-60 in 25ish minutes, the difference because the 8 uses a lower capacity 4000mah battery, given the size U know why I decided to unbox both these phones, together? It's, mainly because. There really isn't much to talk about the before 8 flip -. Remember the before 7, not the 7 pro, but the 7 -.

The 8 flip is pretty much the same. Phone, oh ya. It has a snapdragon 888 instead of 865, oh you're, waiting for an and? There is now and, that's it! It even lacks the IS from the 7 Pro same gorilla, glass, 6, front, no Vitus, ? same exact, dimensions same battery, it's the same, damn phone, so there's, not much to say ? the before 8 thought, Now this is the one I want to talk about -. This is suss real flagship. This year its gotten a gotta upgrades So.

Let's start with what makes this phone so damn unique. It's the simple fact that the before 8 is the most powerful small android phone ?, it's even smaller than the galaxy s21. Just see these 2 side by side at 169 grams, it's pretty light, it's sleek and the back, which again is gorilla glass, 3 -. It's got a matte finish ?, which I do prefer to the glossy finish on. The flip do note that it's a very, very slippery phone I am going to have the case on throughout my use.

? I've already almost dropped it a couple of times, but even with the case on, it still feels slim in hand. The pattern you saw earlier helps get a great grip and, unlike transparent, CPU cases, These should look better. After a few months of use. Now, the display is 5.9 inches, so smaller than the s21, but it is quite similar. ? super AMOLED, 120hz, full HD plus.

This seems to be a beautiful display. ? It's got a 700 nit peak brightness with 1100 for HDR ?, so under bright light, ?, no issues, ? I- am not a fan of this metal rim around the selfie camera here in this hole, punch I'm sure anyone uses this is going to get used to it real quick, but at the moment, not loving it. Since I can kinda see it staring me in the face, ?, barring that the rest is perfectly fine, ASUS have even thrown in gorilla glass, Vitus for protection, ? and IP68 water and dust resistance, -. So more upgrades over the before 8 flip Talking about upgrades. Of course, the selfie camera isn't ? because It's not flipping out.

So this is a regular 12mp. Selfie camera seems decent. But of course, when, u compare it to a rear sensor, which is what you'd use with the flip ?, it does come up. Short The cameras to the back -. They are nice, but disappointing because.

In a way they are downgrades. Now the flip ? it has the same optics as the before 7, So compared to the 7 pro we lose IS on both the primary and the telephoto. The before 8 has gets IS for the primary but lacks the telephoto entirely ? the ultrawide the same as last gen on both devices here's, where I find a little of confusion If I wanted to buy the best before -. What do I go for ? with apple, It's the pro max, with Samsung and Xiaomi, It's the ultra, with OnePlus, polo, realm etc. , it's the pro ?, but here it's confusing on one hand the 8 flip flips, Furthermore, it's got an extra telephoto camera and better selfies for obvious reasons, but it lacks is From, an external perspective, Furthermore, it lacks a headphone jack, but it's the one with micro SD.

Furthermore, it's also got the larger display, but with a lower refresh rate of 90hz, older protection with gorilla glass 6 and a slightly lower peak brightness, also as a side effect of the flip camera, Furthermore, it also lacks any kinda ingress protection!. Now, if you are thinking, ?, hey the before 8 is the flagship, It's got all the new tech ? it's the go to ?, then adding to the confusion is the fact that the 8 flip is priced. Higher I mean both phones, look and feel great -. The 8 flip is a little uninspired, given you are actually losing a couple of features from last year's flagship, but they both feel great in hand and the before 8 -. It's the best small phone I've come across in recent times.

Now I do sympathize with ASUS, I understand a gotta decisions they had to make the size. Probably is the reason why they couldn't go with micro SD, why they had to cut the telephoto and with the flip ? the flip module costs, money, ? there's, a gotta engineering that's gone into its development ?, and that makes it more expensive, and, of course the flip means no IP resistance, but just because I, understand and sympathize. ? doesn't mean I, agree, ? I think they should have done more with the flip ? IS, gorilla, glass Vitus, for example, ? because for now ASUS, If you are watching, answer this ?, if an end consumer walked up to you and said, ? I want the best ASUS before this year. What should I go? With? What? Would you tell them? I rest my case?. And I'm going to stop here.

Maybe the more I use these phones, Maybe I'd get better answers for now, ? guys, What do you feel? Leave? A comment down below and BTW I'll have a before 8 review out. Soon, and I mean it this time, the 8 flip, I'm. Looking at a comparison with the OnePlus 9 pro ? is that something that'd interest? You? Again comment ?, and now it is time for me to bid you adieu, ? like if you liked it, dislike. If you didn't ? till next time, ? ash here from c4etech signing off, you guys have a great day, ? BUH, bye, now!.
