Xiaomi Redmi 9C Unboxing

Hey guys Tito jams here welcome back to the channel where we take awesome out of the box another month, another Xiaomi product, yes, kids, they're back at it once again, they just released the newest member of the Redmi 9 family. I'm of course talking about the Redmi 9c. Last month we had a look at their extremely budget-friendly smartphone in the Redmi nine eight that was just below 5000 pesos. But if you're looking for something a bit more powerful with a few more cameras to play around with, then this just might be in your wheelhouse for a bit more cash all right. So let's jump straight in and unbox. This thing, of course, first out of the packaging is the phone itself.

This is the Redmi 9c in the twilight blue color variant, it's also available in midnight gray and the colorway that I wish they sent us, so it matches our branding is sunrise orange. The unit that we have with us has 2 gigabytes of ram and 32 gigabytes of storage, but for a little over a thousand pesos. You can get this at the 364 configuration now, since this is a budget friendly phone from Xiaomi. You are missing the jelly case and a pair of earphones, but everything else is pretty much standard. Furthermore, you have the documentation, sim, ejector, pin a micro, USB, cable and, of course, the 10 watt charging brick, as I said, pretty standard, but I really wish that Xiaomi would start shipping their sub 10k smartphone with cases, but anyway, let's have a closer look at this baby right here.

As expected, the unibody chassis of the Redmi 9c is made out of polycarbonate plastic that has gentle curves and a chambered edge as it meets the screen making it sit well in the hand and feel easier to grip. There is a pattern of curved lines to break up the block of color the phone comes in and while it does have more of a matte finish to it, it doesn't seem to prevent smears and smudges, as I was expecting, so you will have to wipe it down occasionally to keep it pristine either. That or I just have to wash my hands for the nth time today. For a quick tour of the button and port layout, you have the headphone jack on top access to the phone's triple slotted, sim tray can be found on the left. The volume, rocker and power button are on the right and on the bottom, is the microphone micro, USB port and, of course, the speaker drill around back.

You've no doubt seen the more squared off camera array that houses two more cameras than the 9a with a flash module and, of course, that teeny tiny fingerprint scanner. Initially, I thought that a smaller size would mean that it would make it a bit more accurate, but it looks like I was wrong, though. The margin of error is acceptable. Now, just a tip enroll your fingerprints twice just to minimize that margin of error. Further, moving on to the front of the phone, you have a 6.53 inch dot drop display, which means it has a notch at HD plus resolution that utilizes an IPS LCD panel you're getting a decent amount of pixel density with the display and just the right amount of brightness, with a screen topping out at 400 nits according to Xiaomi's official spec sheet. While I do prefer having a panel, that's full HD.

I am willing to let this one go because of the sheer affordability of this phone. It does get the job done and I still enjoyed watching a bit of content on this phone already, but it will also do nicely when you do have to hunker down for school or for work under the hood of the Redmi.9C is a slightly more powerful hello, g35 processor and, as I mentioned earlier, our unit has 2 gigabytes of ram and 32 gigabytes of storage. You can still decently game on this device if you want to but know that you should definitely stay away from heavier titles on the Google Play Store. That may require a bit more muscle to run smoothly. It is enough for the usual social apps and should have enough power if you're going to be using this primarily for distance learning.

The Redmi 9c also comes equipped with a pretty large battery at 5000 William hours. That's good enough to last me about a day to around a day and a half, depending on how much I'm streaming content, but we'll see how power hungry or power efficient. The setup of the 9c is in our full review of course. Lastly, let's talk about the cameras, because that's where the biggest difference between the 9a and the 9c is, as I mentioned, you're getting a total of three cameras on the back. It's led by a 13 megapixel main camera, an aperture of f 2.2, and you have a 2 megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor to go along with it. Now, as we all know, the macro camera is something that brands have been slapping on their smartphones recently to increase their camera count.

I would have preferred an ultrawide, but I think that would have increased the price of the 9c further anyway for taking selfies or making video calls. You have a 5, megapixel front, camera f 2.2, and you can also shoot videos at 1080p.30Fps here are a couple of sample photos. We were able to take around the house no judgments first, but let us know what you think about them in the comment section down below and with that, your quick look at the Redmi 9c comes to an end. I will be taking this phone through the ringer, so make sure you check back in the next few days for its full review, also, maybe a comparison with a 9a, so you can see if it's worth spending the extra cash or if the 9a is enough for your needs again, the Redmi 9c is priced at 5290, pesos or 4990. If you manage to catch the early bird sale, that's for the base, variant and 5990 pesos.

If you want a bit more ram and storage to play around with that's it for this one. Thank you so much for dropping by and spending a few minutes with me. If you like this video, give us a thumbs up sub to the channel and make sure you hit that notification bell. So you don't miss out on any of our content. If you have any questions, leave them down below, and I'll try to get to them as soon as I can for all the latest tech news and gadget reviews head to unbox.
