Xiaomi Redmi 5 VS OnePlus 5T - Speed Test - Snapdragon 450 vs 835

What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back to a new speed test for today, I have the 1 plus 5t, one of the fastest devices available on the market and the Xiaomi Redmi v, a budget-friendly device from Xiaomi the 1 + 5 t costs about 550 dollars and the Redmi v costs about 170 dollars. So does that mean that the 1 + 5 t is going to be three times faster than the red me? 5? Well, you're. Definitely going to find out in this video, so we're gonna check out the benchmark results. We're going to see which device is the faster fingerprint scanner, and then we're gonna start opening the exact same acts in the exact same time to see which device opens apps faster. Once that's done, we are also going to check out and see what happened with all those apps running. In the background for specs, the 1 + 5 t has the snapdragon 835.

We also have 6 6 of ram and 64 gigs of internal storage, the Redmi v, it's using the snapdragon 450. We have 3 gigs of ram and 32 gigs of internal storage for the benchmark results. There is no comparison, so the 1 plus 50 gets a score 4 times higher than the red me 5, but does that mean that the 1 + 5 t is four times faster? Well, we're definitely going to find out. So we are gonna start by checking out how fast the fingerprint scanners are on both devices. So we have the fingerprint scanner sitting on the back for HD device, so I'm going to lock the screens on both, and I'll.

Try touching the fingerprint scanner in the same time. So let me slow that down for you, so it looks like the 1 + 5 t was a bit faster for that one, and we are gonna. Try that one more time, so I'm going to lock the screens on both devices, and then I'll, try touching the fingerprint scanner in the same time on both of them. So let me slow that down for you and once again it looks like the 1 + 5 t was a bit faster. Next we are gonna start opening the same apps in the same time on both devices, so I have both devices connected to the 4G networks, and I'm.

Also, going to show that I don't have any apps running in the background for either device, so we are gonna start by opening Chrome on both of them. So I believe it was a bit faster on the 1 + 5 + 1 + 5 T, also on a loaded, the page faster, so leave that app running in the background next is gonna, be Temple, Run, ?, so once again, faster on the 1 plus 5t, but again not them four times faster, and we'll just wait and see how long it takes for this one to actually start the game. So the 1 plus 5t, already loaded that game, and we are still waiting on this one. So I'm going to start the game on both of them, and then we'll leave the game running in the background as well. Ok, so I'm going to press play on both, and then we'll leave the game running in the background.

Next we have Google photos on both devices so once again, very similar loading time. Some for that one. Next we have Facebook on both so much, much faster on that one. Comparing to the Redmi v believe that were running in the background we have Twitter here so even though they start the app in the same time, it takes longer for this one to actually load them. Whatever content that app has next we're going to go to Instagram.

So once again they kind of open the app in the same time, but it took a while for up the Redmi 5, so I'm, just going to open my account and all open this picture right here so very similar run times for that we leave that running in the background. Next, we have another game so again, we'll see how fast the read me file opens compared to the 1 + 5 t, so that one started the game already, so not that far behind, so we'll start the game on both so leave the game running in the background and continue with this app right here so fast around the 1 + 5 t once again, and we'll open the same picture here so once again, faster on the 1 +, 5 t, but again not four times faster. Next we're going to open the Play Store. So once again the 1 + 5 2 is faster, but not that much um faster and the last tab that we're going to try it's the YouTube app and, of course the 1 + 5 t was faster for that one, and we'll open this video on both devices so leave that running in the background as well. Now, let's see what happened with all those apps that we have running in the background, so we're going to go into multitasking on both and let's go to Chrome.

So it's still running in the background for both devices, let's see what happen to Temple Run so still running in the background for both devices, let's see what happened to Google Photos so still running in the background for both devices, which is great because we only have three gigs of RAM for that one. The Facebook app is also running in the background, which is awesome, so I'm quite impressed by the red meme 5. To be honest, so the Twitter app it's running in the background for both, which is great, let see what happen to Instagram. So again, it's running the background for both devices traffic Rider. So the game, it's in the exact same spot where we left it and let's see what happened to this one so again running in the background for both devices and lastly, the Play, Store and I- think we still have the YouTube app as well.

So let's go to that YouTube app. So all the apps are still running in the background for both devices. So, as I said at the beginning of the video, this phone costs about five hundred and fifty dollars and this one costs about 170 180, so was the one plus 5t faster like four times faster than this one? No, it was not, so that's all I wanted to show you alright guys. Hopefully you enjoyed this video if you did like it, press that, like button, don't forget to subscribe, and I'll see in the next on thanks for watching.
