Xiaomi Mi11 Lite vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max- Which one Should you Buy?

Hello friends welcome to technique. This is normal here and in this video we're going to do a comparison of two Xiaomi branded smartphones, one under the branding and another one under the Redmi branding. So we're going to talk about the mi 11 lite, with the Redmi Note 10 pro max, so many of you have been asking us uh, which of these devices are the better ones to buy in this price segment. Uh the mi 11 lite pricing starts at 21 triple nine uh, while the Redmi Note 10 pro max, starts at 18 triple nine uh, while the uh the specifications and ram and storage variants are slightly different. There is just a two thousand rupees difference between these two devices and with offers available for the level light right now. Uh the margin is um a lot lesser on these two devices so which one should you buy? That's what we're going to talk about in this detail comparison, so we'll be covering all the aspects and see which one suits you better in terms of overall value for money so before getting started.

If this is your first time on, this channel does hit the subscribe button and also hit the bell icon to get notified of all the videos we publish. So let's begin so first, let's have a look at the design and build quality. Now both these devices are premium looking devices in the respective price category. They are made of plastic chassis and comes sandwiched in glass, and you can see that both of uh, really great premium, looks being offered both looks really great in terms of design aspect as well. The Redmi Note 10 pro max, also comes with a newly designed camera layout.

The same is the case with the me11 light, so there is a refreshing design on both devices. Now what separates the between these two devices is the fact that the mi level light is just a 6.8 mm in thickness and just 157 grams in weight. So that's the deciding factor. So if you want a more compact lightweight and a sleek looking device, then the me11 light is a better one to go. But having said that, the Redmi Note 10 pro max is also great in terms of design.

It's kind of a different design offered, and it definitely looks premium as well, but if I were to choose between these two devices, probably I would go with the mi 11 lite now. Additionally, there is one thing which is missing on the mi 11 line: uh the mi 11 lite does not come with a 3.5 mm audio jack, which is available on the Redmi Note 10 pro max. So that's one difference, although there is an adapter provided we'll talk about that in a while. So that's the difference between these two devices in terms of design. Now another thing that differentiates between these two devices is the front panel layout.

You can see that the punch old selfie camera is in the center on the Redmi Note 10 pro max, while it's uh on the left side on the me11 light, so in terms of design and build quality. If I were to pick one winner, then that would be the me11 light for obvious reasons. Now. Next, let's talk about the display. So this is one area where a lot of you guys have been asking us, which is a better uh display out there.

Now there is a difference. Both are amulet panels. Now the Redmi Note 10 pro max comes with a 120 hertz surface. That's the first time we are seeing in this price segment, 120 hertz differentiate, and it's an amulet panel. You get the gorilla glass protection now on the me11 light.

You also get an emulated panel, but this is a 10 bit AMOLED panel, and here you get an 8-bit AMOLED panel. Now the refresh rate is slightly lesser on the mi 11 lights, 90 hertz, when compared to 120 hertz refreshed on the Redmi Note 10 pro max now, uh the 10-bit panel uh. How good it is! That's what the main difference comes when it comes to display. Now, if you want to actually see the difference between an 8-bit panel and 10-bit panel, then you actually need to see content which is optimized for 10-bit display. So here is a sample, and you can clearly see that there is a bit of difference when it comes to display experience on the level light the 10 bit panel on the mi 11 lite definitely is slightly better than the Redmi Note, 10 pro max by a small module because of the uh, the 10 bit and the 8-bit difference that actually shows up when you are actually watching content which are optimized for 10-bit displays.

So both of these devices are perfect, but if I were to choose one display again, I would definitely go with the 11 like, which is one of those device which has the 10 bit display, which is unheard in this price segment as of now so that the display aspect so uh. There is very, very uh minor difference between these two devices. If you want to refresh it better, then go with the Redmi Note 10 pro max uh. It feels a bit smoother in terms of display experience, because it has a 120 hertz differentiate compared to 90 hertz on the 11 light. So that's the display aspect of these two devices.

Now moving on to the software now here uh, you can see that both these devices run on mini 12. Now there is mini 12.5 available for the Redmi Note 10 pro max. Now we have been seeing this for quite uh some time in our videos that we would have liked the mini 12.5 on the mi 11 lite as well out of the box, but this ships with me UI 12.0, that's definitely a disappointing thing but uh, unlike the mini 12 on the Redmi Note 10 pro max the mini 12 on the mi 11 lite does not have any sort of status or bagginess being shown here now the mini 12.5 upgrade has uh got in some perfect improvements to the Redmi Note 10 pro max assault, so that should be reflected on the mi 11 lite as well uh, once the update comes in. So we expect that update to come pretty soon, probably in a month or a couple of months time it should be arriving so uh in terms of software experience uh. We feel there isn't much to differentiate between these.

Two devices because both run mini 12 out of the box, now uh in terms of performance. Once again, we feel there isn't much of difference both have the Qualcomm snapdragon 732g chipset, both perform equally well and even in terms of gaming experience. Neither of these are really stellar performers in terms of gaming, because snapdragon 732 g provides a decent experience. Overall, no lags whatsoever, you can play games, but it's definitely not a gamer's device out there. So that thing you have to keep in mind now.

Both of these devices have LPD area, 4x ram and UFS 2.2 storage support, so they are equally good in both those aspects. Now both these devices have side mounted fingerprint scanner, so both are a side mounted fingerprint scanner integrated with the power button and face unlock, and the fingerprint scanner performance is almost similar on both the devices and the speaker. Output is again similar on both the devices both have dual stereo speakers. So, once again, now we don't really see much of a difference again. Uh, the Redmi Note 10 pro max comes with 3.5 mm audio jack, which is not available on the red or me 11 lite, but inside the box package of the mi 11 lite, you get an USB type-c to 3.5 mm audio adapter uh, but then the difference is that uh, the USB type-c port will be engaged by listening to audio. So if you are okay with that, you can go with the me11 light.

But otherwise, if you want a dedicated 3.5 member auditor, then you should be going with the Redmi Note 10 pro max. So that's the uh different aspects in terms of the software performance. Next, let's move on to the camera. So this is one area where there is a difference. Now both these devices have perfect cameras.

So the 11 light comes with a 64 megapixel Samsung gw3 sensor. You get an 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle, then a 5 megapixel tell macro lens. Now, on the Redmi Note 10 pro max, you get in 108 megapixel Samsung sensor, 8 megapixels, ultra-wide and 5 megapixel tell macro lens, and you also get a 2 megapixel motor sensor. The intensive selfie camera both these devices comes with a 16 megapixel selfie camera. So let's have a look at the camera samples taken with these two devices, so looking at the daylight shot, so you can clearly see that what separates these two devices is the color accuracy.

You can see the Redmi Note 10 pro max images are a lot saturated or vivid, while the May 11 light goes for natural colors. We have been seeing this uh in our camera reviews as well. The me11 light produces accurate colors. Even for the sky colors. You can see that the me11 light produces perfect colors.

When you zoom in our pixel pixel, you can see that the details are quite similar on both the devices, so even the 64 or 180 megapixel sensors both produce perfect uh details. Once again, you can clearly see that the sky colors are more natural. Looking on the me11 light, so in terms of color accuracy overall detailing uh, we feel the mi 11 light. Has the superior aspect here uh when you look at the daylight shots between these two devices. So me 11 light winds here.

Next, let's move on to the ultrawide, so once again, uh in terms of ultrawide experience uh. Here again, you can see that the images are shot on the Redmi Note 10 pro max is a bit more vibrant or boosted colors, while the me11 light goes for completely natural colors. The sharpness levels from the 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle, camera looks quite similar now, moving on to the close-up shots once again, uh both the devices offers good details and sharpness errors, and even when you pixel peep, the sharpness levels are pretty good, but here the me11 light offers slightly better overall color accuracy, and even the detailing looks slightly better, especially for the reds. Now both devices have macro cameras, two of the perfect cameras out there. In terms of macrophotography, both producers still love photography.

Once again, the colors are a bit more natural. Looking on the me11 light now portraits are here, you can see that the skin tones looks a bit too reddish on the Redmi Note 10 pro max, while the mi 11 light gets you a bit more accurate skin tones. The edgy detection seems to be quite similar on both these devices, so that is the portrait aspects now moving on to the low light uh conditions, so you can see that uh here again uh the similar results are expected. Now one thing what we can say that the mi 11 lite is a bit more expensive device for that price segment. We feel the low light should have been slightly better while the Redmi Note 10 pro max, is a sub 20k device for that pricing.

It looks quite okay, so here we would say uh. In fact, both these devices offer similar night performance. In fact, me 11 lite should have been slightly better, considering that the pricing is on the higher side, so that was the low light abilities of these two devices. Now moving on to the selfies uh, here again, the 16 megapixel selfie camera produces similar results, uh more or less uh, similar in terms of detailing dynamic range and the skin tones are also quite similar. So here we would say that it's more or less a tie.

Both these devices produces similar overall imaging abilities in terms of selfie experience. Even if you look at the portrait selfies, both of them are quite good in terms of portrait selfies. So that was the selfie aspect, so it's more or less a tie now. Finally, the video recording here we feel once again now the colors are more accurate on the me11 light uh compared to the Redmi Note 10 pro max, which is a bit more boosted and saturated colors. The stabilization looks quite similar on both these devices, so in terms of video recording again, our pick would be the 11 light, so uh.

Overall, if you look at the camera aspect, the mi 11 lite is definitely the better device to go here. Uh, the only area where the mi 11 light doesn't impress us that good is the low light experience. Otherwise, it's a stellar camera along with that, you also get natural colors and uh. Details are also perfect. So, in terms of camera abilities, we would pick the 11 light.

Finally, moving on to the battery life now the mi 11 lite has a smaller capacity battery four to five zero image capacity battery with 33 volts charging. Now we have a five zero: two zero my capacity battery uh with again 33 volts charging on the Redmi Note 10 pro max now charging time. Obviously, the mi level light is faster. The Redmi Note 10 pro max, took almost like 1 hour, 40 minutes, which is slightly on the high side, while this took around 70 minutes to charge so battery uh capacity is higher on the Redmi Note 10 pro max, while the charging speed is, of course better on the me11 light now battery performance. Again, the Redmi Note 10 pro max is the winner.

Here you get almost like seven and a half uh hours of screen on time, even more, you can achieve uh with other 5020 my capacity battery. In fact, we got like close to eight hours of battery life screen on time. Now. Here you can get like six and a half hours to uh, like six to six enough hours is possible with uh the mi 11 lite, so uh. You can actually say that the battery life is definitely better on the Redmi Note 10 pro max because of the additional capacity battery being offered here.

So if you want more battery life, then go with the Redmi Note 10 pro max so now, summing up, which one should you buy. This is an extremely tough decision to make, because, if you're in a tight budget, then the Redmi Note 10 pro max pricing starts at 18, triple nine for the six gigabyte ram and 64 gigabytes storage, 192.9 for the six gigabyte ram and 128 gigabytes storage. While at the mi level light pricing starts at 21, triple line for the eight gigabyte, or rather six gigabyte ram and 128 gigabyte storage. So almost like 2k a price difference, although with offers it is reduced. So if you are looking for a device with a slightly constrained budget, then Redmi Note 10 pro max is the one to go, because this offers a perfect value for money at this price segment, excellent device all around package.

We have already done the review now. If you have the additional money to spend like a thousand five hundred or two thousand rupees to additional money to spend, we would definitely suggest you to go with the level. Like couple of reasons. One is the excellent design and build quality. It feels really superior in terms of usage, because it's extremely lightweight, even one-handed usage is very good and the display the 10-bit display gives an additional punch compared to the 8-bit display, especially if you are a person who loves to watch a lot of movies, then software experience we don't know and performance.

We don't see much of a difference. Cameras again. The mi 11 lite definitely has an advantage uh. Even though the Redmi Note 10 pro max, has a 108 megapixel sensor. We feel the image quality was slightly better on the mi 11 light, so that's more or less because of the optimization offered on these two devices.

Now. Finally, talking about the battery uh, the Redmi Note 10 pro max obviously has the advantage here. So it's extremely tough job to decide between these two devices. But if I would offer these two devices- and if pricing is not a concern, I would definitely be going with the mi level light, because this has been one device which has impressed me a lot except for the low light camera. Otherwise, this looks really a complete package.

It offers premium experience premium, camera experience, good battery life, excellent design and excellent display quality good performance all around. Although it's not a gamer's device, we would definitely be picking the mi 11 lite if I ever offered uh one of these devices, so that was a detailed comparison of the mi 11 lite with the Redmi Note 10 pro max so hope this clears your doubts and uh. Now it's up to you to decide which one you liked based on the points we have mentioned. So that's the detail. Comparison hope you enjoyed watching this video do hit that like button and also hit the subscribe button for more videos, thanks for watching hope to see in our next video have a great day.
