- What's up, guys, Saf here on SuperSaf TV and we've got a very special package here today. This time it's from Xiaomi and inside here we've got a device that's very, very competitive and it's a device that I have not really seen covered much on YouTube before. Let's go ahead and check it out. And of course it is the Xiaomi Mi 9T, I believe this is branded as the Redmi K20 in some regions, not the K20 Pro which is the device has been getting a lot of attention. This however comes in cheaper compared to the K20 Pro and it's also available in the European market, the K20 Pro is not, you'd have to get that shipped in and then with the shipping charges and the customs and everything that is gonna put the price up. The Mi 9T is actually going to be retailing for around 329 euros which is less than 300 pounds.
And what you're getting for that package is very impressive. Let's check it out. Now, the box is very clean, we've just got a picture of the Mi 9T here at the front and everything is just black and this is just all sealed so let's get rid of the plastic. It's a very tight box. And here it is.
Now we're just gonna put the device on the side for a second while we see what else we get inside the box. So you've got some paperwork, you've got a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable, you've got an 18 watt fast charger, so fast charging is supported, a hard plastic case, as well as a SIM card tool. We've got some of the key features listed on the screen protector but we're gonna check those out of course in more detail. Just landed on the table. What a fail.
That's very cool indeed. Now if you've already seen the K20 and the K20 Pro then I believe this is a very similar 3D glass design. Looks super cool. Right now let's take a look around the Mi 9T and the first thing you'll notice is this display. This is a 6.39 inch AMOLED display. Let me repeat that, AMOLED, not LCD.
Usually at this price point manufacturers do opt for LCD because it's cheaper but we've got a full HD Plus AMOLED display here and I gotta say, it does really, really good. We've also got minimal bezels with no notch, no cutout, and that is because we've got a pop up camera. So if I go into the camera right now. There you go, it's just popped up. And it also lights up.
Does it light up? Yeah, it also lights up too, that's pretty cool. The front-facing camera is 20 megapixels with an f 2.2 aperture and if we go around to the back you'll see a triple rear-facing camera setup. So we've got a primary 48 megapixel camera with an f 1.75 aperture. Now this has a Sony IMX582 sensor, not the 586 which we see on a lot of flagship devices. And then we've got a 13 megapixel ultra wide camera with an f 2.4 aperture, this has around a 125 degree angle of view. And finally we have an eight megapixel telephoto camera with an f 2.4 aperture. Now I gotta emphasize once again, at this price point under 300 pounds, we're getting a triple rear-facing camera setup.
And one of these cameras is not one of those two megapixel cameras we usually see for depth information, no, we're getting three individual cameras that are gonna give you the three different focal lengths which a lot of the flagships that are worth maybe three, four times the price of this are currently offering. Now of course, in terms of quality I'm gonna have to spend some more time with this and It'll be interesting to see how this sensor compares to some of the flagship sensors out there. But nevertheless at this price point having that triple camera setup is definitely quite impressive. Now let's talk about the internals, this is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset, not the 855 like the Redmi K20 Pro is so that is one area that you're not going to be getting that maximum performance but the 730 is definitely a very capable chipset. And you are getting six gigabytes of RAM with either 64, 128 gigabytes of storage.
Now taking a look around the sides of the phone on the right-hand side we do have a power button which is colored, I do like that, and then we have a volume rocker. Nothing on the left-hand side. On the top we do have a 3.5 mm jack which is great and at the bottom we have a USB Type-C input, a single bottom firing speaker, as well as the SIM card tray. Now you do have support for two SIM cards. now there is a fingerprint scanner within the display which seems to work okay.
It's not as fast as some of the other ones I've tried in my brief testing here so you do have to kind of leave your thumb on for a little bit longer but I just have to keep coming back at that price, it's crazy what you're getting at this price point. For the battery you do have a 4000 mAh battery so that's pretty large and should get you through the day with no issues and then you do get that 18 watt fast charger out of the box too. For software you do have Android Pie with the MIUI skin. So that is the Xiaomi Mi 9T or the Redmi K20 depending on your region and this is now going to be available in Europe for this very competitive price point and I gotta say in terms of my first impressions for what you're getting at this price it's definitely quite impressive. This video is not sponsored by Xiaomi in any way, I'm just checking this out and I gotta say, Xiaomi are really trying to shake things up in the market and I think they're doing really well with this.
I wonder if they're gonna have the Mi 9T Pro which would be the Redmi K 20 Pro equivalent here in the European market. I'm not sure but whenever that does come I'll be sure to check it out. If there's anything else that you'd like me to cover with the Xiaomi Mi 9T then definitely drop that in the comments below and if you want to see further coverage of this and many other devices then be sure to subscribe, hit that bell icon so you don't miss any further coverage.
