Xiaomi Mi 11i Unboxing / Review / Camera Comparison - Power of the Middle Child!

After being announced a month ago, the Xiaomi mi 11i aka me 11x pro in India and Redmi k40 pro plus in China, is finally here and starts at a hundred euros cheaper than its slightly older brother. The 11. I've been told that sales should kick-start around mid-Mar 2021. We get a sim ejector tool in the box, as well as a type c to 3.5. Millimeter jack adapter also get a silicon case, though not the best case around it's decent enough for first day usage, and we get a couple specs on the front of the phone on the wrapper, and they look pretty darn impressive. We get an USB a type c to type a cord in the box, as well as a 33 watt charger in the box, and it can't charge any faster than 33 watts.

That being said, it's time to go ahead and unwrap this guy. I have the cosmic black color variant of the device. You can also pick it up in frosty white or celestial silver. It is very glossy. I would have preferred it to be matte.

Nevertheless, it still looks fantastic and very premium. We get a 4 520 William hour battery under the hood of course, that 33 watt charging, as I mentioned before, snapdragon 888 chipsets and eight gigs of LP ddr5 ram at the back. We get a 108 megapixel ISO cell hm2 sensor with 91 pixel binning. This is actually better than the AMX sensor that you see within the vanilla me 11. We also get an 8 megapixel ultra-wide cam, 5 megapixel tailor macro sensor and a 20 megapixel selfie in the front, even though the mi 11i has a lower megapixel counter.

When it comes to the ultrawide department, it actually shows a bit more detail when it comes to the regular main sensor. It actually pops the colors quite a lot more and shows more detail within those colors putting it down using nine to one instead of four to one binning once again brings out more color and more detail. We can zoom in by two times using the 108 megapixel modes on both devices going to the bin shot and zooming in squishes them together. A little looks slightly better on the mi 11 here going into five times. Digital zoom you'll see what I mean now when we go into ten times.

Once again, you can see a lot more detail within the regular me 11, as opposed to the m11i, and the colors are more natural, and you can get a maximum zoom of 30x on the mi 11, while we're capped at 10x on the m11i when it comes up close and personal to a subject. The macro cams on both of them look great with, I think the color accuracy. Looking a tad better on the vanilla me 11. When it comes to taking a portrait pick once again, the color accuracy is slightly better and more natural. On the me11, though the both and depth effect is slightly better on the mi 11i.

Moving on to video, we get 8k at 30 frames per second on both devices, though things are slightly more wonky and shaky on the mi 11i. It does look just as fantastic as the regular me 11. Once again with 4k 60fps. We can record 4k 60fps slightly more stable than 8k, though not quite as good as the 11. When it comes to 1080p 60fps, they look identical this time around a little more jittery on the regular me 11 and slightly better on the mi 11i picking up loads of detail.

We can shoot ultra-wide at 1080p 30fps on the m11i, while the me11 can shoot all the way up to 4k 30fps using ultrawide. When it comes to the selfie, I actually think the mi 11. I look better even though they're using the same selfie cam, and they can both record 1080p at 60 frames per second using video when using the selfie camera. Let me know which one you guys think looks and sounds better between the brand new Xiaomi mi 11i and slightly older Xiaomi mi 11. The cameras are absolutely fantastic on a device at this price point.

But what about around the phone will we get a fingerprint sensor within the power button on the right hand, side not sure. If that's your cup of tea, we get an IR blaster at the top, as well as dual stereo speakers at the top and bottom with Dolby Atmos. We get an USB type-c port, though limited to 2.0 speeds, and we have dual sim. Though there is no expandable storage option. We have gorilla glass, 5 on the front and back unfortunately, plastic frames, but that is to keep the ultra light ultra-thin design intact and talking about design over here it is glossy like I mentioned, but looking at all the other Xiaomi devices, the three on the left, the glossy and the two on the right are matte, which one is your preferred version of these Xiaomi devices.

Let me know in the comment section down below: I do prefer matte finished phones, like you see on the mi 11 over here, but the m11i is pretty light and is pretty thin. Well, it's definitely thinner than the regular me 11, but pretty much on par when it comes to weight flipping it around. Using that oxide fingerprint sensor, it's nice and snappy. We get welcome to a 20 by 9 aspect ratio 6.67 inch, dot display with the world's smallest punch hole notch. It is an e4 AMOLED display with a high brightness of 1 300, and it's 120 hertz refresh rates and 360 hertz touch sampling rates when it comes to color accuracy compared to all the other Xiaomi devices.

It's pretty much on par with the three on the left since they're, using the exact same screen. Unfortunately, no who plus, like you see within the regular me 11, though we do have 120 hertz, which are apparent on all four devices on the left. We do have mini 12 running this device in here, which is not the worst. We should get mini 12.5, literally in a day or so stay tuned for that one very stock android like when it comes to global markets. To answer Xiaomi's question about what attracts me most in relation to this device, I would have to say, first and foremost, it's epic camera setup, specifically the incredible performance.

The main 108 megapixel ISO cell hm2 sensor has to offer other than that I'd have to say its lightweight design, packed with all the flagship components any above average consumer could ask for. If you don't care much for an aluminum frame, who plus curved display and wireless charging, then it's certainly worth saving 100 bucks and opting for the me11i instead of the regular me 11. , not to mention the 11i packs identical hardware specifications, a flat display which most consumers prefer and an even better main camera sensor. If you would like a more in-depth review on the device be sure to check out my k40 pro review, since the only difference between it and the mini 11i is the main camera. I hope that you all enjoyed watching this video as much as I did making it.

This is technic, and I'll catch you in the next one. You.
