Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite full review By GSMArena Official

Hey, what's up guys will here for GSM arena? We've already made our full review of Xiaomi's me 11 lite 5g, but this is the regular me 11 lite. It doesn't have 5g support, but it's quite a bit cheaper. So is this a better deal, let's find out in our full review? As the name suggests, the mi 11 lite and the mi 11 lite 5g are almost the same phones. They look identical, except that the regular version has a glossy finish, not matte. The back is made of glass and rather than curving, into the plastic frame. It's completely flat here.

The phone is also very light for its size at around 160 grams and feels quite easy to wield with one hand on the front is a 6.55 inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, a fast 90hz refresh rate and a responsive, 240hz touch sampling rate. This screen is protected by gorilla glass 5 rather than the gorilla glass 6 you get on the 5g model. Both phones displays are gorgeous and contrast, but there are a couple of other differences to mention here. The mi 11 lite has hdr10 support, while the 5g model supports HDR, 10 plus the maximum brightness here is similar, though we measured up to around 480 nits with the slider and 830 nits in auto mode in bright conditions, you can find another small difference in the color settings. The mi 11 lite doesn't offer an advanced setting for custom tweaking like the 5g does, but you can still achieve good color accuracy using the presets for audio the mi 11 lite has a pair of stereo speakers with the top speaker, doubling as the earpiece loudness scores very good on our charts, just like the 5g model and quality is about the same too good mid, but lacking highs and no real bass.

You won't find a 3.5 millimeter jack on either version of the mi 11 light you'll need to plug in traditional headphones, using a dongle or connect wirelessly and waking up and unlocking the phone can be done using a side mounted fingerprint reader, which is superfast and responsive. Alright. Now it's time to go over the major difference between the mi 11 lite and the mi m11 light 5g, the chipset, the mi 11 light, runs on a snapdragon 732g chipset, which is built on an 8 nanometer process. It's the same that you'd find within the Redmi Note 10 pro or the Poco x3 NFC performance here is pretty good. It sits around the middle of the charts for this year's popular mid-rangers and the thermals are great.

Here too, the overall performance doesn't hold a candle to the snapdragon 780 instead of the mi 11 lite 5g, which is the most powerful snapdragon 700 series chip. You can get right now, but this shouldn't really matter unless you're into heavy gaming and while there's no 5g connectivity here. Unless those networks are available, where you live, you wouldn't miss it. The interface of the mi 11 lite is mini 12 over android 11. It's a straightforward UI that we've seen on all of Xiaomi's recent phones, including the mi 11 lite 5g.

One of the more notable features you'll get here is an IR blaster which allows you to use the phone as a remote control, and you get 64 or 128 gigs of storage on board, which is expandable through micros, as well as NFC support. Let's get into the battery the mi 11 lite has a 4 250 million power pack, just like the 5g version, and while it's scored a little lower than the 5g in our tests, a 100 hour, endurance rating is still great. There's a bundled 33 watt charger and charging speed is absolutely the same as the mi 11 lite 5g. Now on to the cameras on the back, there's a 64 megapixel quad, Bayer main cam, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle, cam and a 5 megapixel tell macro cam, which has autofocus photos from the main cam come out in 16 megapixels by default, and they are stellar for this class. There's great resolve detail nice colors, though not as punchy as the 5g model, balance sharpness, low noise and wide yet natural, looking dynamic range.

If you have enough light, portraits look good with plenty of detail and nice colors, the edge detection does a decent job, though it isn't always on point around the hair. The 8 megapixel photos from the ultrawide cam are decent for the class, with good contrast and a wide dynamic range close-up. Shots taken with the telemark cam are pretty good. You get nice contrast and great looking colors, however, even though there is autofocus, we found ourselves often having to take multiple photos to get a sharp result. Let's move on to low light, shooting with the main camera the mi 11 light comes with auto night mode like the regular me 11.

However, it seems the mode hardly ever kicked in, and generally nighttime photos come out without it still, it seems to improve exposure in subtle ways, so we'd leave it on overall low light photos, look very good for the class with balanced exposure, true to life, colors and low noise, there's a decent amount of detail, but it's not flagship level. You can also force the dedicated night mode which takes about two to three second exposures. These are not only brighter, but you get lower noise and better defined details with the ultra-wide camera at night. The photos are dark, noisy and soft. Turning on night mode gives you a more usable result with brighter exposure and wider dynamic range.

However, these are still quite soft. Overall selfies are taken with a 16 megapixel front facing cam, as opposed to the 20 megapixel one on the 5g version. These are great while they aren't the sharpest selfies we've seen they are some of the most well-balanced and natural. Looking with wide dynamic range, video can be shot with the main camera and up to 4k at 30 fps, and the quality here is excellent. There's a ton of detail, spot-on sharpness, low noise, nice colors and wide dynamic range and there's support for as too.

The ultra-wide records 1080p videos- and these are okay for this class. The footage is sharp, maybe even a bit over sharpened and colors are true to life. The contrast and dynamic range are okay, too, just like the flagship, Xiaomi mi 11, the lite version supports special video modes. You can play around with. These include magic, zoom, slow, shutter, time, freeze, night mode time-lapse and the inception-like parallel world.

So that's the Xiaomi mi 11 lite. You get an elegant glass design, a nice looking 90 hertz, AMOLED loud stereo speakers, great battery life and fast charging and excellent photo and video quality from the main cam. This is what you would get out of the 5g version too, but the difference is that here you're missing the high-powered chipset, so you lose out on the performance, but at the same time you save some money. Normally, I would recommend the m11 lite if you're, not a gamer, and you don't need all that power under the hood. However, in this price range you can find other phones from Xiaomi that offer more competitive, specs and not just with the chipset.
