Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite Review (Cheap 5G Midrange Phone With Snapdragon 750 5G Processor)

Hi guys this is Jason, undercover, and I'm here with a review of the Xiaomi mi 10 lite, so I've already unboxed and played with the 20 pro and the 10 t- and this is the light part of the trio. It still comes with a beautiful glass back, a quad camera which you can see here and also a high refresh rate screen, all of those for a price of just 300 dollars. Of course, this device is obviously going to compete with a Poco x3, since it does share a bit of its visual identity and a bit of its let's say, screen prowess, although with an upgrade anyways, it was unveiled in October 2020, and here we are with a review of the 10 t, light color wise. It comes in Atlantic, blue, pearl gray and a rose gold beach. Now, if you want measurements, you should know that this device measures 90 millimeters in thickness and weighs a hefty 214 grams. It has a beautiful effect here, going from blue to silver, and it catches the light in an interesting manner, a bit like a mirror, but also slightly deformed.

This is glass, as I said, before, gorilla glass, 5 protection and at the front we also have glass once again with gorilla glass, 5 protection. The bezels are a bit thick and the cutout for the selfie camera is also on the big side. Now the phone it's pretty long and wide, not easy to use with a single hand, but it's quite drippy. The plastic frame helps you with that, not very rounded, not very flat, just the proper amount for a proper grip, comfy buttons here, volume, buttons and power button flat, one with the fingerprint scanner, so nothing to object there, beautiful transition on the back, but also a big fingerprint magnet. This glass back side once again, a bit thick and a bit heavy plus wide.

So not the most compact phone around now, if you're wondering about the display, what we got here is an IPS LCD with a pretty large diagonal of 6.67 inches, and the resolution is full HD plus. We also have hdr10 support and 120 hertz refresh rate plus. We also have a big chin here at the bottom and the pretty big bezels. Now, let's put the screen to the test and see what of some video playback looks like okay, so, first, uh, we have quite a big punch hole here. You can see it right here and there's also the screen protection already applied from the factory, which leaves quite a bit of room around the punch hole.

Other things worth mentioning is that we have some pretty vivid colors, even though we're dealing with an IPS LCD, not an AMOLED, I would say that the screen looks better than the Poco x3. So that's for sure we have realistic colors. The wide angles aren't the best on the market, but they're still pretty decent and the contrast was well just okay. If you catch a day with strong sunlight, the images may not be very legible on this panel. Okay, so that's that basically the colors of the star here and the brightness is just okay, especially indoors outdoors, not so much.

The pixels have a RGB stress arrangement and when it comes to the brightness test here we are. This is our hierarchy and, as you can see, not the best in the world at 406 lux units, but at least it surpasses our threshold which is well um, 400 lux. So once it goes past that we're pretty happy with the achievement. Okay, so with 406 lux units, let's see what we have here. This means we managed to beat the OnePlus north, which is no small, fit also the motor g9 plus, and the Poco x3 NFC.

Still we placed lower than the Huawei p40 light 5g the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g by 230 lux, even and below the Renault 4 lite. If you're not happy with the experience, you can always resort to customizations. You go to the settings here and let's see what we got go to the display section, and you got your brightness level reading mode, you can set up the color scheme, auto saturated or standard. We got the color temperature palette here. Let's see what else there's the refresh rate which, from the factory it's 120 hertz, we can set it to 60 hertz to get more battery life, there's also dark mode text size and that's pretty much it now, where I would say reasonably pleased with the screen, and it's time to go inside the phone and see what's kicking there.

Now the CPU, you can see here, it's the Qualcomm, snapdragon 750 g 5g, a nanometer OCTA core, accompanied by six gigs of ram, which I'm going to show right now. So six gigs of ram and also 128 gigabytes of storage, uh, there's also a version which has 64 gigabytes, sorry, which is a bit cheaper, there's also micros card slot and the device doesn't register any lag, even when you're playing dead by daylight, mobile or Call of Duty, mobile or whatever game you want to play these days. Maybe you will counter lag in games and impact or though I wouldn't bet on it now. As far as the benchmarks are concerned, we have them here, and we go here. We start off with on two to eight and e928.

As you can see, we were just above the uh Oppo Reno, four pro 5g, which has actually a better CPU. So it's a bit of a compliment here above the Xiaomi mi 10, lite, 5g and above the Motorola edge, all of them sharing a potent CPU. Still we are below the OnePlus note and the whole p40 light 5g. The Karin is still a strong beast. This is geek bench five.

This is the multi-core subtest. Let's not go to the iPhone just yet. This is gear bench five in the multi-core subtest. As you can see, we surpassed the OnePlus word, as well as the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, and the Moto G 5g, plus all of them sharing a pretty powerful CPU once again, snapdragon 765 g, not bad below the Huawei p40 light 5g below the Galaxy S10 5g, but also very close to its score, which is a bit of a compliment. Sadly, in the GPU department, I'm not that impressed, even though, as you can see, we beat the whole ap40 pro plus, probably by some poor optimization.

We also beat Poco x3 NFC, but other than that. We have older phones below this one uh. Furthermore, we beat Realme six and galaxy a71, but we got bitten by the basic oap40 light, not the 5g one, the 4g one also got bitten by the Motorola edge and motor g5g plus. So basically, the performance is not very far from the Qualcomm snapdragon 765 g, which is a compliment considering the price tag which is lower compared to what the phones with the above-mentioned. CPU are well worth: okay, so temperature wise, we're also doing fine 31.4 degrees Celsius. That's what we achieve in benchmarks, where typical the device gets all throttled up and high performing it's an excellent result and in games just 33 degrees.

So definitely you will not experience overheating. With this beast made of glass and plastic on the battery front, Xiaomi phones have been delivering from quite a while. Now ever since the Redmi k20 they've been having huge battery lives uh, this should be no exception. So it's a 4820 million per hour unit with 30 33 watts fast charging. The first test was, I will be honest, a bit underwhelming here we are with 14 hours and 16 minutes.

Xiaomi has accustomed us to something like 20 hours and that's not something out of the ordinary. It beats galaxy, a51, a41, iPhone 11, but it's below the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g by 2 hours and below the galaxy 71 by something like three hours or more, so there's that continuous usage looks a bit better with 13 hours and 45 minutes, as you can see right here. So excuse me 13 hours and 45 minutes, just above the Poco m3 and above the galaxy a50, plus above the motor g9 plus, which is meant for video watching galaxy a41 and Oppo arena, 4 lite, it's still below the Oppo a72, the Poco x3 NFC, and the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, which was a bit of a beast in the battery department. Good news for the charging. You are not required one hour here, just 57 minutes for a full juice up and after 30 minutes, you're a 67, and you're good to go, for, I would say about one day of moderate usage.

Okay, so that's that I would say, was reasonably happy with the battery. Maybe minus the video playback. And now, let's check out the speakers, we actually have two of them. You can see one here, and this is the other one in this grille here is the earpiece and also serving its purpose for musical playback. Now, aside from the stereo speakers, we also have an audio jack here at the bottom next to the USB port, and we also have the promise of hi-fi audio and also tweaks, like smart, music, video or voice in the dedicated department.

Now, let's skip the technical talk and go straight to the music copyright free, okay, a bunch of conclusions. I would say that the speakers are pretty loud actually too loud for their own good at maximum volume at 70 volume they should be just fine, especially in games and movies. Otherwise, they're a bit teeny and metallic. The high notes are excellent. The mid are fine, they're, not much bass here, so the bass is pretty much lacking, but the voice and the high notes the treble will be pretty fine.

For me, we also have a decibel meter, which we used to measure the prowess of the speakers and, first, we start with an acoustic sample and achieved 82.3 decibels for the bottom speaker and the 84.5 decibel for the top speaker. The stereo phony is real here and pretty well felt with this value here, uh the better one of the two we surpassed Motorola edge, as well as the galaxy s25 edition 5g, and we got beaten by the OnePlus 8t. When it comes to gaming, not very impressive, 96 decibels, we usually require 100 decibels to be blown away, um it's better than the lg velvet and the Motorola edge, but inferior compared to the OnePlus north and then 5g and the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, as well as the galaxy a41 so loud, but not the loudest and maybe keep it at 70. If you want to get a proper pleasant experience on the camera front, you can already tell there's a big cutout here, and this is for the selfie 16 megapixel shooter, and we go to the back side. The camera design is familiar and similar to Poco x31.

It's apparently mimics a DSLR, so here you can see the dual tone led flash, and this is a quad camera setup. The bottom two cameras are typical for mid-rangers. Both these little two fellows are two megapixel shooters one for both one for macro. These are the hardcore heavy hitters. One is a 64 megapixel shooter, which combines four pixels in one with a quad bear technology.

It pulls off 16 megapixel shots out of the 64 megapixel sensor, the other one is the 8 megapixel typical ultrawide camera, and the camera itself provides you with familiar options. I'm talking about the well, you know pro portrait super macro night mode, the full 64 megapixel shots that you can achieve with a dedicated option and also vlog mode, long exposure and clone and guess what. After many days of rain and Sundays of snow, I caught a sunny day December 29th 2020 and let's see what came out of that experience. Okay, so, first uh I have the memory of the Poco x3 fresh. In my mind, that was pretty satisfying.

This is actually not very far from it. I will constantly compare the camera with the Poco x3 and the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g. I loved both of those. However, this one, I feel that it has a pretty good ultrawide camera, even though, as you can see, it catches a bit darker shots compared to the main camera. There were times when I noticed that the colors were a bit well brighter on the ultra white camera, even though the image itself was a bit darker.

So okay, something to mention here. The colors are pretty well calibrated for the main camera and there's a pretty nice dynamic range here. However, they don't pop off as much as you'd want like you've, seen on the galaxy 71, for example, so they're not very mind-blowing colors, believe it or not. The colors are warmer on the ultra white camera and, to be honest, the details aren't as bad as you'd expect from an eight megapixel shooter. This is 2x zoom, where we're lacking a telephoto camera, we're cropping from the 64 megapixel shooter and since we're keeping the gloss of this toy.

Here it's fine, but, as you can see here, these little fellows are pixelated, so there's that 2x zoom is fine for me. But if you go past that you'll be disappointed, and we are still liking a telephoto camera. Okay, nice texture of the objects you can really tell which one is glass, metal or plastic, and this is where I started to try out the both. So if you want to highlight the subject from the foreground from the background, you'll be happy with the results you will achieve, and this is the macro. We went really close to this headlight on the Mickey Mouse car, and I'm pretty happy the result.

This is the first stake. Usually I complain about 2 megapixel cameras for macro being hard to handle, and they require 10 or 20.20 takes to get the proper one. This is first take and that's not bad. Okay, more shots of this Santa which, honestly I keep taking photographs in the same spot for about a few years, and this Santa is new, hasn't been present in this spot. Finally, some landscape shots.

I would say: details are quite fine if you really want details, go to the 64 megapixel mode or the ultra white, so regular shot didn't catch enough of the monument ultra white shot to catch the whole monument. That's the whole point of it. Selfies are also here not as impressive as the Xiaomi mi 10 lite, 5g ones. There's a lot of effects being applied, beautifying effects. I found it hard to properly remove all of them, so you'd be better off removing them to get a more well human texture.

Out of your face. Details aren't as impressive and the texture not as crisp as it was on the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g. Don't get me wrong. It's still a pretty solid selfie camera, but I feel I was happier with what I achieved on the Xiaomi me 10 light. This is the both which, by the way, does a fine job.

It cuts everything behind me. Fine, a bit of hair is, is left out here, as you can see, but that's probably the fault of my hair rather than the actual processing engine, and here it caught it properly. As you can tell from yourself, okay uh both with the main camera doing fine. As you can see, I noticed a tendency in some shots for the grass to appear a brighter green than it actually is in real life and even more toys. Once again, with a pretty nice dynamic range, you can really tell the colors are pretty well calibrated, even though some people may want them to pop out more like on the Samsung phones, okay and one of the most impressive shots was the fact that I found moss on a tree bright, green moss, and these are the results we achieved.

I'm happy with the details. The colors everything so macro was actually pretty nice to take. In this case. It's actually satisfying to take a macro here, a close-up of a tree's bark with mouse on it. So that's nice, all in all a pretty solid camera for 300 phones.

I would say it's pretty much the same thing as the Xiaomi mi 10, lite, 5g, minus the selfie and somewhere between the Poco x3 and the galaxy a71, even though the cars don't pop off as much so. I would say: maybe a ten percent bump from oppose x3 as a plus, not the minus, during the low light. You should remember one thing: I am not very happy with the regular shots, the basic camera shots and the ultrawide shots, but then, when you turn on the knight mode, it's a whole different phone. So there is the meat and tea light of these shots which are dark, don't have details, don't have texture and there are the night mode shots which are actually impressive in everything, from brightness to details, texture and colors. So you definitely notice which are the failed shots and which are aided by the knight mode which, by the way, captures everything in an excellent manner the size of the streetlight halos.

The details of this bottom part of the shot. Everything is fixed, no matter what your complaints are with these shots, activate night mode, and you'll definitely be happy with the result. So this is supposed to be a regular shot. Maybe, and if you want more details, night mode takes you to a whole different experience. Actually, you'd say that this is a much more expensive phone with net mode activated.

Okay, this is pretty much it for the photo department. Let's talk about the videos, okay, so, let's check out some of the video samples I have taken using this device. So let's access this app and as you can see here, we have 12 videos, 11 of them show during the day and one during the night. So first, one of the most relevant ones is the stabilization test, which is actually pretty okay, as you can see right here, this is shot in full HD and I noticed that the grass appeared to be pretty vividly colored, which leads me to believe that there may be some overexposure of the vegetation during the summer days. This was filmed during the winter, although on a pretty sunny day, I'm pretty happy with the color calibration in general and talking about the reds, especially the reds, are fine, and the setup of the exposure is also nice when switching to a darker area to a lighter one and vice versa.

The problem is that, even though you probably don't see it on this screen, there's a lot of shakiness when you're panning, the zoom is satisfying even without a telephoto camera, and the image is pretty crisp, maybe not as crisp as the surprising polo, x3 NFC, and also not like the galaxy a71, but pretty close okay, and we also have a focus test here on the foreground and on the background, fast focus and also pretty accurate. Once again, I love the hues of red we have here, and we have several more shots. If you look at the edges of the image, you'll see that some details of the trees are being lost, even though we're shooting in 4k, so this makes it slightly inferior to the Poco x3 and also the galaxy a71 okay, and as far as the well selfie video is concerned, this is not exactly impressive. There are some focus problems. There's also very intense contrast of the face.

The face is too wide, not the best stabilization in the world, so not that impressed I've seen mid-rangers doing better in this area. Okay, so, overall it's something like equal to the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, and it feels slightly below the Poco x3 by about 10 tops- and this is the low light video which is pretty underwhelming. It has a green hue uh, it's flickery. There are some reflections, there's uh some ghosting here and there and uh it just looks strange, looks weird: it's not memorable, and it's definitely shaky and sometimes filled with some flickers. So definitely not something to write home about now.

Let's talk about the connectivity now as far as the connectivity goes, this is a handset which does 4g and 5g. It has the dual sim slots, and they're also hybrid sim slots, which means you can either use a sim or a micros in one of those sites. Now, as far as the other options are concerned, I should probably mention that we're getting here, volt HD calling and the 5g variety is sub 6 gigahertz in about 11 bands. Wi-Fi is dual-band. GPS is also dual-band.

We have Galileo and glass, as well as bayou for orientation and a GPS other than that. We also have NFC, as you can see here, and an infrared emitter at the top side used to control your TV set set-top box and some other devices like a rice cooker, Wi-Fi dual-band for sure, Bluetooth, 5.0 and an USB c 2.0 port at the bottom plus the audio jack. The calls were pretty loud and clear in my book, but who calls nowadays it's nice to hear that we have VoLTE HD available okay. Now we go further and see how we did in the speed test. We have the results here, quite a few of them.

Actually, when it comes to the Wi-Fi we achieve the top level of 347 megabytes per second, as you can see here in download and in upload, we went as high as 24.8 mega per second once again, Wi-Fi when it comes to 4g. Results are also not bad at all 229 mega per second downloads, on 4g and as well as 59.8 mega per second uploads, not bad at all, actually pretty close to some flagships out there. If you've seen our review of a Xiaomi phone over the past few months, you know exactly what to expect well. What we have here is android 10, with mini 12 on top. What this means, among others, is that we have a new series of animations.

Wallpaper system sounds, and you can replace the drop-down area. You can see here with well something else. For example, you can replace it with the bubbles from the control center inspired by iOS. You can do that in the settings. Otherwise, you are stuck with the classical mini option.

Aside from that, the leftmost feed is dedicated to the Google News and, as usual, Xiaomi prefers to offer you a dual column multitasking. These are the thumbnails of the apps I have open and at the top side we have some cleaning features. If you keep the home screen pressed, you will get the widgets, which have stayed the same for the past many years. I would say for me why, and if you swipe down, you can see the notifications and the quick settings quite a few of them quite useful, some of them there's cost. There's me share floating window nearby share and so forth, and this is the area where you can customize everything from the settings.

There's an app updater there's a connectivity section, lock screen display notification, themes, password and security, privacy protection, extra settings related to the button shortcut notification, light, quick ball, one hand, usage, enterprise mode, there's a digital well-being and parental control and the special features, including one for gamers and believe it or not. There are also ones that will let you make some areas of the screen and not respond to touches uh when required and also do not disturb features, there's a floating window, second space and a light mode plus a video toolbox. If you really require that, on the security side, we have the fingerprint scanner here, which, coupled with a pretty fast face, unlock, will totally unlock your device fast and securely. I can confirm it, and it's always good news. As far as the pre-installed apps go, you can activate your app drawer or choose to work without it.

The good news is that we have categories of app here at the top side, and the pre-installed apps include the pretty useful security which has a ton of features, useful ones for deep, clean, app management, Facebook, cleaner problem, solvers security, scan boost speed and so much more. We have other things pre-installed we have Facebook, we have Netflix pre-installed, there's FM radio in the mix. There's me remote, there's a browser, there's mid-video and notes if you want to take notes and recorder plus scanner, as well as a screen recorder, video, one plus WPS Office. If you plan on working with office files in a nutshell, that's it mini.12 also means you get those beautiful, beautiful wallpapers, which people have been loving a lot with their 3d effects, and they're actually pretty nice. These are some examples of regular wallpapers.

The one that I mentioned before are the 3d ones which zoom in from the stratosphere to the uh earth or other planets. Okay, with this being said, it's time for the end of the review, the verdict, and I'm going to talk about the pros and cons on the pro side. It's a good-looking phone, especially from the back side, with a solid build. It's got a pretty comfy grip and the performance is dangerously close to those many Qualcomm snapdragon 765g, CPU phones. Furthermore, it's got infrared on the top side.

You got a micro SD card slot, it's got an audio jack at the bottom. It's got stereo speakers which aren't half bad and also fast connectivity. Mini 12 is, I would say, lovely, and it's really fluid combined with this high refresh rate screen and the pictures and videos look fine to me for a mid-range segment, a particular area where it shines is the night mode capture. We also have a pretty fast charge and an okay, continuous usage. If you're wondering about the battery life.

Now those are the pros on the cons. I would say that the backside draws quite a bit of fingerprints. The screen isn't exactly very bright. The video capture that we had on this device. I would call it shaky above all else, and the low light photo capture aside from night mode doesn't impress, and the video capture at night is pretty poor.

Selfie filming is underwhelming and selfie. Overall is below what the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, provided. So that's about it. To be honest, the biggest rival of this phone is actually it's brethren. The Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g people actually feel the need to pick up that one, because it's a bit cheaper, it has.

It has an AMOLED screen and the battery is a bit better, and it films, maybe a bit better and has slightly improved selfies other than that their average user shouldn't be able to tell between the quality of this phone and the meat and light 5g, except for maybe the AMOLED screen. This one can easily be a rival for handsets, like the OnePlus word, like the motor g5 g plus, and I feel it surpasses the Oppo Reno four light. That's just my impression anyways for 300. It definitely is worth your buck. That's what I think gamers will be happy, definitely photo takers and video takers will be happy.

Although the video capture is not exactly as crisp as the Poco x3, but then again, the screen is a bit better. This is from jason. com hope, you're happy with this review of the Xiaomi me 10t lite, bye, bye,.
