Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G - Battery Life & Final Thoughts (MIUI 12 Global)

Hello YouTube uh, welcome back to my channel and in this video I'll be discussing the battery life on my brand new Xiaomi me 10 t lite. Now the May 10t series came out a couple of months ago. We had the May 10t pro, then the 10 t itself- and this is the 10 t lite. So this is the budget and version of the 10 d series. However, that does not mean the specs and everything else is compromised on the handset. It's got fantastic spec sheet, which we will discuss in just a moment and also a very good battery life.

So this video, like I said I'll, be specifically talking about the battery life on the 10 t in life. Let's open the phone up. This is the fingerprint sensor on the right hand, side where your power button is there we go, and it works like a charm every single time. So, like I said, let's have a look at the specs into settings then into about phone, and here you can see it says a mini version global version at 12.0.6. This is the one which is uh being installed in this phone, also there's an update which I have installed just yet, because it recently got updated with another update, which I also did just a few weeks ago.

The phone has got a total of 64, a gig of memory, which is sufficient for the average user. However, there is a one to eight gig variant in this as well. Should you wish to because the phone comes with a memory card expansion so for most people that shouldn't be much of a problem also going further down? It's got android 10 as we speak. Hopefully at some point they will update it with android 11, which is expected at some point this year. Also, uh security patch level are quite updated as well, but I'm sure, with this update in the back end uh, this will also be updated to Jan or February uh for this year, so going into all specs the phone like I said, it's got six gigs of ram along with this outscore chipset, which is a snapdragon 750 g.

This is the brand-new chipset, and it made its debut in this very phone, so that chipset was the very first one in this very handset again, an honor for this handset and the chipset has been performing really, really well with decent battery life. Okay, so now, without wasting any more time, let's quickly get started, and my typical fashion, let's get into gallery and see what I've been collecting over the last few weeks. Ever since I had the phone. In fact, it's been a few months and I do apologize in advance. It took me a while to get this.

Video up guys has been very busy, and also I wasn't feeling that well in the last one month or so, okay, so the first screenshot here you can see uh Wi-Fi being usefully the phone was a vague screen on time. Everything else. So I was using the phone for you tubing. Lots of camerae was being used, outlook, email, social media. I will zoom it a bit more, so you guys can see lots of Instagrammer and lots of emailing, especially also camera usage, and everything else like most of you know me already.

I'm a very heavy user of the phone okay, so once I had that, I eventually got six hours and 39 minutes of a screen on time with 17 hours and 15 minutes of standby. Furthermore, I must admit the phone was on standby for a while every now, because I use a couple of phones and sometimes I do change phones. So at times I leave my phones on standby for a good number of hours. Okay, so further down here. This was the standby time during nighttime and see how much the battery was drained.

For some reason, when I take screenshots, it doesn't take the screenshot of the full screen, specifically when I'm taking screenshots of the standby time from the home screen. I don't understand. Why is that? But I'll have to zoom it in a little to see to make you see what the battery was. The battery was because, as you can see, 34 at 10 past 1 in the morning on Thursday, it was in November, and when I got up in the morning just before 10 o'clock, the battery had gone down to, as you can see, 32 percent, which was not bad so overnight. It only lost at 2, like I said, 110, 34 and then 958 at 32.

So overnight it lost only two percent. Once again, the efficiency of uh, the Qualcomm snapdragon 750 g and playing eight parts along with the mini 12, also very well optimized, another screenshot. Here again, a Wi-Fi screen been awake for quite a while uh you tubing, Instagrammer social media, camera bits and bob emails as well. Everything along as you can see here, Facebook in installing a few apps. Eventually I received a total of five hours and 29 minutes of screen on time.

I must admit initially for the first few runs. I wasn't as impressed as you can see, even though a five and a half and six and a half hours is a good decent time, but the phone comes with 4820 William battery, which is a sizeable unit, and the screen is only full HD plus, I think it's 6.67 inches in size. If I remember correctly, please do correct me if I'm wrong, but the screen is not quad. HD is full HD with an efficient, snapdragon, 750 g, so I hoped for the battery life to be a bit more, but it wasn't to be initially, but as we go along in this video, you will see eventually it did settle down, and I was getting some decent screen on times. Okay, again, here same as from before another screenshot, you can see lots of Instagrammer uh using chrome for web browsing YouTube, twitter, LinkedIn, using also Amazon Alexa and by the way the phone's Bluetooth was non-stop on all this time I had my honor watch connected to it pretty much 24 7.

, so that also plays obviously its role in draining the battery out, and eventually I was able to achieve four hours and 51 minutes of the screen on time. Here, like I said initially for the first few days, there was a bit of fluctuation in the screen on time, but as the phone settled down and a couple of updates did make some difference to the screen on time again, another screenshot using a lot of Google Drive. I was uploading, stuff videos, documents and stuff on it. So I was there for a good number of hours. As you can see, then again, you tubing what sapping browsing making a lot of phone calls.

In the end, I was able to achieve six hours and 39 minutes of screen on time. Once again, this was decent screen on time. The phone don't get me wrong despite having this kind of screen on time, which are way more above average than the glass of these phones uh. But it does last you a day, and it's not that much of a problem again standby time at 303. We have to pension again to see it was at 100 percent at three o'clock in the morning and when I checked it at 9, 38 uh, just before 10 a.

m, it had gone down to 98, as you can see once again. Another screenshot here you can see Instagrammer you tubing social media emails, Twitter, WhatsApp, and I was able to achieve here seven hours and 16 minutes and, like I said as time went on the phone did settle. So if you've got this handset brand new and if you're worried about the battery life, don't be let the phone settle down, have a couple of updates which Xiaomi will send as soon as you switch the phone on and then hopefully, in a week or two weeks time, you will get some very good battery stats from this phone. All this time, the screen brightness was around 70 to 80 percent. I must admit the screen is not as bright.

However, if it goes to 70 to 80, it does tend to get bright because it's an LCD panel and not an OLED panel, so seven hours and 16 minutes of screen on time. Okay, here, like I said eventually an update, came by the way on me: UI 11 those battery chats were decent, but not as good. It did settle down, like I said eventually in the end, but I think mini 12 is a much better, smoother efficient and battery oriented version. So here I received the mini version 12 on the phone eventually and, like I said, my Bluetooth was pretty much on 24 7 all the time once again, another screenshot lots of standby here and didn't use the phone as much in here, and eventually I was able to achieve a total of you- can see 30 minutes of Instagrammer here, uh just over an hour of chroming and then an hour and a half of outlook, and even though the phone was on standby for a lot. Despite that me using the phone heavily, I was able to achieve a total of 8 hours and 35 minutes of screen on time.

So, as you can see, despite me, being on standby still, the screen on time was very high, which is fantastic once again, that was down to me, UI 12, playing its part and really giving us some a decent screen on time. Once you have me, UI 12, installed on the mate 10 t lite do expect some very good battery stats as it's a very, very efficient skin. Now I also had a request for someone said uh. Please keep the brightness at 50 percent and play PUBG on Wi-Fi, so I thought I will fulfill that request. So it's only last night I was playing pub gas you can see in the screenshot here it was down to 64.

As you can see, I had the Wi-Fi on the brightness was around 50 percent, as you can see, and the time is 2130 as you can see on the camera, and I played for about half an hour, as you can see, here was just past 10 o'clock at night, 10 p. m and the battery went down to a 56 percent, as you can see here so from a 64 percent at 21.30, it went down to 56, so lost eight percent in about half an hour at 50 on Wi-Fi. Hopefully this will give you an idea of how much PUBG you can get out of this phone. I think with the purchase around 50 and a big massive battery and mini 12 installed, the phone should be able to give you a good few hours on PUBG. So that's pretty much on the actual battery life on uh, the UI 12 running on the Xiaomi mi 10, t, lite and now a quick final impression on the phone.

And what do I think of this handset in general? I think the handset is pretty nice. It's quite good um. It's got a solid battery life like I said, a 4820 milliampere in size and once me you at 12, install on the phone. Furthermore, it should give you some very good stats. The fingerprint sensor runs perfectly fine, no problem in terms of performance.

The phone is pretty nice as well. It does give you a very good performance for the money that you put in the price of the handset is hardly any at the moment on. Amazon is going for 225 pounds, if I remember correctly, but uh, all in all, very good handset, you don't have to go for the one to eight gig versions. If your usage is very basic, however, if you are the kind of person who likes to save a lot of films, a lot of gaming and heavy use, I would suggest going for the one to eight gig versions instead of 64, but, like I said, if you're a basic user, 64 GB should be more than enough, the screen does get a lot brighter once it goes past 17, 80 percent- you can see here, so it does get bright, but it's not AMOLED bright or OLED bright, but it's LCD bright. So please do keep that in mind.

The cameras are decent as well, not bad. So far, I've had a good experience on the cameras. It wasn't as bad. So let's have a quick look at this. Let's bring this in and see how quickly does the camera work there you go.

So let's do the focusing a bit as well. So you can see it focuses quite nicely. Despite being a budget handset, it can still focus very nicely, as you can see guys. So the camera is decent, not bad. It's not galaxy fast, and it's not iPhone fast, but for the money.

What you pay and for the budget that it's in, I think the phone is fantastic with good, decent performance, both on camera. Everything else, that's the picture we took let's zoom in, and you can even see the dust on the case. Look at that guys. So the camera is quite decent and, like I said for the budget, you can't go wrong, but all in all, handset is good, like I said good performance, good, decent set of cameras. The only con.

If I was to talk about you guys, would probably be the weight of the phone. The phone is around. I think 215 grams in weight and that's the one con I saw using my this phone throughout the last couple of months. It's quite heavy for those people who, like big phones and big screens, it's not going to be a problem. You will love the phone, but for those who don't like big phones and to you, the weight and width of the phone does matter.

I think you'll not be comfortable using the phone, especially if you're using for a long period of time, say for two three hours. Eventually, you will feel the phone being heavy. Also, the phone comes with a pre-installed uh screen protector. Once again, it's a bonus and also as it comes with a case as well, if I remember correctly so pretty nice decent phone. So from my side, like I said it's a fully recommended for 750g Qualcomm snapdragon 6 gigs of ram 64 gigs of fast UFS storage, a decent set of quad cameras, very nice build quality.

You got the type c USB you got the 3.5 mil jack you by the way also have got a dual set of speakers: bloody hell and this budget. You can't ask for anything more than that now that I'm thinking, whilst I'm making the video the phone has got so much like. I said, uh stereo speakers you've got the screen protector, decent, build quality, good set of cameras, good battery life, good performance and honestly in this budget. You cannot ask for anything more than that guys. That's me pretty much it for now on the Xiaomi me 10 t lite, if you like my video, please give it a thumbs up any questions.

Please feel free to ask me in the comment section and like always, please subscribe as it helps, and I shall see you in the next video.
