Xiaomi Mi 10: WORTH TO BUY?! [Full Review]

Hey, what is up guys Ellis here from nook stack- and this is my honest review about Xiaomi mi 10. - this new phone from Xiaomi is not cheap anymore, but still it's one of the most affordable flagship phones of 2020, which comes with the latest snapdragon 865 5g connectivity and 90hz super AMOLED screen, but is it worth buying and does it deliver a better value compared to Xiaomi, me 10 pro or OnePlus 8? Well, let's figure it out in this video review. So I have been using and testing this phone for more than one week already and to be honest transition from my OnePlus 7 pro was not that easy. You see.7 pro was already a great phone. I got used to that snappy oxygen OS and the 90hz full screen design with a pop-up selfie camera was something unique. The only thing I wanted more from it was a wireless charging feature better camera and the battery, which would last longer, but let's get back to our main topic.

Xiaomi 10. Unboxing experience is very similar to other Xiaomi phones and inside this shiny silver box will find sim card ejection, pin USB seat to 3.5, millimeter, audio jack, cable, English manual book, transparent plastic case with some grip battery on the back of course, a Xiaomi mi, 10 phones itself, USB type c, cable and a 30 watts fast charging power, brick. When it comes to the design. I have to admit that once again, Xiaomi delivered a really great looking phone, of course, that shiny back cover looks gorgeous, but at the same time it makes a phone bit slippery and more than that, collects all my fingerprints. Despite that, Xiaomi 10 feels super solid and premium in hand.

It has curved edges all the way around and a gorilla glass 5 covers both the front and the back just like on many other flagships, mobiles camera bump on the back steps out quite aggressively and the only option to solve this issue is by adding a protective case. I have already ordered 8 different cases and some cool accessories for Xiaomi mi 10. So if you want to see that upcoming video make sure you subscribe to my channel on the right side of the phone, you'll find a power on volume up and down buttons on the top IR, blaster, full size, speaker and finally, USB type c, port, sim card slot and another stereo speaker on the bottom Xiaomi mi 10 has a beautiful and bright 6.67 inches 9 hertz super AMOLED screen with a maximum brightness of crazy 1120 nits. The difference is really noticeable when compared side by side to my OnePlus 7 pro, especially under the direct sunlight, although I prefer full screen design with a pop-up camera. I have to admit that I hardly even notice that little selfie punch hole on the new Xiaomi mi 10.

You see for the most of the apps. The notch will naturally hide within the status bar for gaming. You will most probably cover that area with your fingers, so the only trigger could be while watching YouTube or Netflix with a zoomed in aspect ratio. Full HD, plus a resolution might not be the highest among our flagship phones. But to be honest, it's more than enough.

Indeed, everything on this AMOLED screen looks super sharp and crispy colors are accurate, and you can also adjust them. Based on your preference, I like to set it on natural colors inside a settings menu, you can also choose between 60 and 90 hertz screen refresh rate, but once you enter the higher refresh rate zone, believe me, you will not want to go back to 60. To make things even better 180 hertz touch response rate makes crawling and gaming experience more enjoyable and to add some comparison here. My OnePlus 7 pro has a lower value of only 135 hertz. Finally, Xiaomi mi 10 has a snappy under display fingerprint scanner.

Just as expected from my short term experience, I've found it to be accurate, and it takes less than a half of a second to unlock your phone. Add to this. You can also set up 2 day phase unlock. However, it's not as secure as the previous unlocking method on the specs sheet. This Xiaomi 10 camera setup doesn't sound as impressive as on me 10 pro.

This is, of course, due to the lower phone price, so Xiaomi decided to cut it on behalf of a camera. Don't get me wrong. This little brother still comes with the same 108 megapixel main camera and the same 20, megapixel selfie, but other 2, megapixel macro and def sensor seems to be more like a joke. Even my previous tested Redmi Note, 9s has a 5 megapixel macro sensor, and that is three times: cheaper mid-range phone come on Xiaomi. Alright, let's take a look at some pictures and video samples made on this 2020 flagship phone on regular camera mode.

Pictures will be saved at 27 megapixel resolution, which is already a decent quality for cropping and maintaining good details. Pictures from the main sensor come pretty sharp and color seem to be more or less accurate. You will start losing some more details on the nighttime and night mode is something you hate it or love it. Everyone has their own personal taste, Xiaomi, me 10 does not have a dedicated telephoto camera. So instead of that for 2 times zoom, it uses 108 megapixel sensor and crops out the picture twice.

Of course, I would love to see that 50x hybrid zoom, which could be found on me 10 pro, but for that you would need to spend an extra 200, so it all comes to your decision, but in my case I rarely use that zooming feature in general, so I don't feel like missing a lot here in the worst case. I still can take those 108 megapixel shots and crop three to five times without losing the quality for my social media uploads for ultra-wide angle, shots you can use a 13 megapixel sensor. However, it's not as good as the main camera. You can clearly notice that there is no consistency in overall image quality nor color reproduction. Of course, I'm happy to have an ultrawide camera, as it allows me to have more versatility and for me personally, a good ultra-wide camera is way more important than a telephoto.

There is not much to comment on 2 megapixel macro camera. It does the job of some average results. However, one thing I didn't like about mid 10 camerae is a portrait mode. Pictures made on this mode looks very unnatural. Colors are washed out and there is a huge amount of over saturation going on.

Xiaomi should definitely fix his finger future software updates. If not, I would need to count on the ported chem app front-facing selfie camera is doing a pretty good job. Overall, it gives you a decent amount of sharpness and details. However, it might struggle a bit more with a portrait mode. You can see that in some shots it was not able to properly focus on the edge of my glasses, and it had really difficult times with my wife's earrings.

As we move on to a video camera testing, I found out that 4k 30fps footage looks pretty decent and optical image. Stabilization does a perfect job. You will see more shakiness while switching to 60, fps mode or ultra-wide camera and 8k. Video is only usable if you set me 10 on tripod or gimbals. At this I have found some information, but actually the Xiaomi 10 is capable to capture video at only 6k resolution and, as it does so, 8k will be only upskilled using some AI algorithms but yeah.

I don't really care about 8k at this point because I think it's more a gimmick and marketing tool than the real stuff Xiaomi mi 10 also does not have a laser autofocus like 10 pro. So at the end of the day, you might experience slower and less accurate focus, but it's not a big deal. Here are some samples for your own evaluation. You also have an option to shoot.120 fps, slow motion, videos at 1080p. However, I found it to be interesting, but it doesn't support 240, fps or higher, not even at 720p, to complain a bit more.

A front-facing camera does not have an optical image stabilization. So all videos on the go will look a bit shaky. This is the area. Xiaomi should definitely work a bit more in and while some flagship phones, already support 4k front camera, video Xiaomi, me 10 is still limited to 1080p. So this is a sample.

Video of Xiaomi 10, a front-facing 20-megapixel camera and I'm recording at 1080p 30fps. I'm checking the sound quality as well as stabilization. So how does it look really sharp? Well, let's see till the end, and now let's have a bit of stabilization while running other than that there are quite a lot of different options on the installation camera app, including slow motion, selfies dedicated v-log mode and black movie frames for more cinematic approach. So what are the other good things we get with Xiaomi mi 10? Well, there are quite a lot of them. Stereo speakers sound, perfect and clear.

It gets really loud, and it also has a nice balance due to the same size, drivers on the left and right sides. It's definitely a huge improvement compared to the previous Xiaomi mi 9 phones. Furthermore, Xiaomi 10 has even a bigger battery of 4780 milliamperes compared to 4500 Williams on the pro version, and it easily holds up a full day even on the 90hz screen mode. By the end of the day, I'm still having around 20 to 38 of the battery, which leaves some extra room for more intense scenarios in the future. Xiaomi always surprised me with fast charging speed, so no exception to this year.

Flagship phone, me 10 is capable of charging at a 30 watt speed. Both by the cable and wireless charging and 5 watts, reverse wireless charging could be really handy in case. You need to charge your earbuds or help your friend with a dying iPhone battery. Of course, you will need to pay some extra bucks for a wireless charger, but I think it's totally worth it as it gives you more freedom, flexibility and comfort in your life. My 30 watts, original Xiaomi wireless charger is already on our way to me, and as soon as I will get it, I will make a full video review about it so stay tuned by turning on the notification bell, icon, add to this.

I really like the new haptic engine on the Xiaomi mi 10. It gives you a nice tactile response to the gestures, and you can also adjust the strength level in the settings menu. It reminds me of all good times when I was still using an iPhone and Apple is generally known for having one of the best haptic solutions in the market. Finally, the latest and the most powerful snapdragon 865 for 5g is nothing but beast compared to the previous generation snapdragon 855. It has around 20 better performance in CPU and somewhere around 20, better performance in GPU.

It sounds great, but at the same time I couldn't really feel that boost compared to my OnePlus 7 pro, no matter what I did or what games did. I play.5G is still a gimmick at this moment, but despite that, there is nothing wrong with having kids as it makes the phone more future-proof. Wi-Fi 6 is yet another feature of Xiaomi mi 10, and it seems like this new Wi-Fi standard will be a general trend of 2020 and guess what, on the upcoming days, I will be doing one more video of the new Xiaomi Wi-Fi 6 routers, so it will be a great chance to test out the meat and phone on it. I will do a speed and coverage comparison between my regular Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi 6. , so if you're interested in that as well definitely hit that subscribe button.

Also, let me know guys if you would be interested in seeing the separate gaming and performance tests of Xiaomi 10 and, if so, write down the games. You want me to test in the comment section down below, so what are my final thoughts about this new Xiaomi flagship phone? To be super honest, I really like it. If you can get the 10 somewhere around 600 us dollars, it really gives a good price to spec's value. It is a premium phone, and it has the main flagship specs, including snapdragon 865, bright and snappy 90hz AMOLED screen well-balanced stereo speakers and some really amazing features like 30 watts, wireless charging. I don't see a lot of additional value, buying the mi 10 pro versions, unless you really want to have a better camera setup, but other than that, I would go with regular me 10 to have a bigger battery and save those 200 bucks.

I also think me 10 also beats OnePlus 6 with similar price, although I personally prefer oxygen OS over the mini, and that is it. What do you guys think about Xiaomi 10? I hope you liked this video and if you did please hit that thumbs up and stay updated with my new tech video reviews, thanks for watching this is Ellis from nuke stack, and I'll. See you next time you.
