Why did I pay $2000 for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2???

All right you all, I did it I'm coming back to android. I told you I would do it. I thought it would be earlier in the year with OnePlus 8 pro, but it's not spending so much money on phones, listen, here's the thing! Samsung got me: they came close last year with the fold they had some trips and some falls, and then I just didn't want it. But this fold, too, is a savage, listen at the end of the day, I am pledging allegiance to the hottest of the hot and this phone is legitimately hot and expensive. As he'll like it's ridiculous. No one should buy this phone no one, except for people that have money to just throw away and me, apparently I don't know why you all know I love budget.

I love to save you guys money. I love to keep it real and let people know what's going on in phones, regardless of any kind of brand loyalty. Furthermore, I don't care. Furthermore, I want this phone a lot. Furthermore, I want it.

Furthermore, I want it a lot and I don't have lots of good reasons, but for the ones that I do the reasons I do have I mean I might as well tell you about them. Furthermore, I guess why not I mean it's YouTube, I mean what else am I going to do? Furthermore, I'm not here saving lives or anything. Try to save you, some pennies I'll, tell you all about it right after this. What up players welcome back and for all you knew people welcome my name's Travis and I do tech videos every single week and have a blast doing them. If that sounds like fun to you, sit back, relax and enjoy the video anything I talk about will be in the description below, but for now let's just get into the video, so I spent two thousand dollars on a phone.

This is dumb. That's a car. Someone said in my comment section on my community tab post, that's their rent mortgage and everything, and I actually made me feel kind of bad, because what in the world am I doing, I don't have a lot of good reasons to get this phone. I'm perfectly happy with my iPhone 11 Pro max totally cool with it still have an OnePlus 7 pro. If I really want to have a niche for android, I can go to that love that phone um- I just I don't.

I don't need this, but there are a couple of reasons why I am getting this phone and I can tell you right now. None of these reasons or reasons you should get it matter of fact. Anyone who's watching this channel, except for people who just burn money for no good repair and reason, should get this phone. Just don't do it. This is a cutting edge.

It's bleeding edge, it's for people who just love tech, and that's me I don't have good reasons for this. Its this is not going to be great, but let me give you a couple of reasons number one I haven't actually bought any phones for myself this year at all, all the phones I bought were for this channel. They were to be reviewed. The Amazon, renewed series of phones, other ones, have been sent to me, but for the most part they've just been for review. This one is actually for me now, of course, I will review it on the channel and that sort of thing and listen.

They didn't send me one, and I don't expect Samsung to send me one to be honest, I'm actually kind of glad they didn't for me. I always feel kind of like if someone sends me something I look for the best in it. I don't want to look for the best in this thing. This thing is two thousand dollars. I'm going to rip it apart for anything, that's wrong with it trust me when I tell you, I'm going to keep it super real because they didn't send me anything.

So this is my money and you all getting the truthiness of truth about this phone. So if that sounds interesting to you make sure you hit the subscribe button, if you have not already and ring the bell and all the other things, you know what I'm saying, because you're going to want to watch that when I get, that thing is it's on it's on, but being a tech head like myself, this is the longest I've been without having a new phone. Typically, I get a phone by this point. Usually the Galaxy Note series of phones and since I'm in a tech, tuber some other phone during the time of the year like I normally have something kind of going at all times, and I just haven't I've been on my iPhone for a long time now, this isn't to say I'm getting rid of my iPhone as a matter of fact, I'm not. I have too many things tied up in that ecosystem to completely get rid of my iPhone.

I will not be getting rid of my iPhone um, and I'm not even sure if the fold is going to be on my main line or not haven't decided that part yet mainly because of iMessage. The reality is: if you live in America, you bound to know someone who has an iPhone and if you know of someone who has an iPhone, you know the magic of iMessage and while you can say well now, android has RCS, it's not iMessage, I'm sorry, it's just not so. For that reason alone, I'll have an iPhone with me at all times, but this phone just looks too cool. For me, I love tablets. I absolutely love tablets and the idea of having basically a foldable tablet in my pocket makes me super excited, and I just love tech, and this is something really cool.

It's different right now, pretty much all smartphones are pretty much boring me, so I'm really excited to pick up something. That's completely different and Samsung looks like they've finally hit it out of the park. The fold one definitely looked like a prototype device. This device looks more like something that's gone through and really been thought about, and they changed the things that needed to be changed. I'm actually just super hyped for this phone.

Also, obviously, I'm going to use it for this channel to have people be able to see and experience this phone through my eyes now the reality is, I don't need this phone for my channel. It's not going to get a ton of views or anything like that. I'm not buying it, because I think I'm going to get a million views on the video, not there's just not enough. People are going to have an interest in watching that video, especially after all the larger YouTubers have their reviews out, but for the people who do watch this channel and do want to know my real thoughts, I thought it'd be kind of cool. It's just an extra reason to another thing is I actually don't really spend a lot of money on myself, any more um, because I'm a tech tuber, all the cool things that I want.

I tend to get through different ways and the cool thing is, I actually really don't use any of the money I make from YouTube on anything it just kind of sits there. So I have money to have money to spend in a lot of ways. That's one of the few reasons you should consider getting this phone. I mean I, I don't know exactly why I would tell anyone to get it unless they're just an absolute tech head, and they have too much money lying around now the trade-in values on some of these phones. Samsung usually does a really great job on this, but they kind of jacked the prices.

On these. When the note 20 came out, I actually checked the trade-in price of the Galaxy S9 that I have, and I think it was about 300 only a couple of weeks later. It's 150. So there's that and if you have the original fold, you're getting like eight hundred dollars that rest in peace, but this isn't your normal phone, it's something different, it's something magical! It looks great and people that I really respect in the tech game are loving this phone. That's really all that matters.

I want something fun something exciting and something different and that's exactly what this thing is. Is it practical? I don't know yet I mean. Maybe it will be. Maybe it won't be, but that's going to be the journey I'm going to share it with you. The entire way, no filter completely honest, I'm not beholden to saying the right thing so Samsung sends me another free phone, I'm just going to give it to you real, real and raw, because I paid for this thing out of my own pocket and there are some great tech tubers that will do that as well, that are buying it and definitely going to go ahead and give you the real, like.

I know, flossy carter will do that. Listen at the end of the day, I'm keeping it super real, because this is a lot of money. Will it have the best camera? Probably not. Will it be the most durable? Definitely not. Will it be something that I'm going to carry with me every single place, I'm, I think I'm going to be kind of afraid to be honest, like I'm, just I'm just worried about the fragility.

So it's its not even really that practical, but at the end of the day, it's all about tech, baby and if I have the ability to be able to get this phone, I'm going to do it. I'm also going to recommend that you do not, unless you just have so much money that you don't know what to do with it. If you have so much money that you don't know what to do with it, I can give you a link to my p. o box, where you can send me all the monies. But what do you think? What part about getting this phone? Are you excited about? Are you getting one? Do you know someone is getting one or do you have any questions for me so that in my original video once I get it did you want me to answer I'd love to do that? Leave me a comment below now.

This is the first phone that I'm going back to android with, and I talk about that here. Also, there's some other videos right here, a folding iPhone. Perhaps anyway I'll see you next time. Peace.
