What SUCKS About the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip...

Hey guys Jamie here welcome back to the channel where we take awesome. Out-Of-The-Box now, Samsung just launched their new Galaxy S series a couple of days ago and as expected, they also made the Z flip official, while there's definitely a lot to be excited about with the flip just like any device, it does have its downsides and that's exactly what we're going to be talking about in this video now before we begin guys just a quick reminder that you have one more day to join all other giveaways that are listed down below. We have one for the ASUS ROG phone —, a Realme v I and the collaboration between digital walker and joy room for their wireless earphones. Again, everything you need to know is down below. Please follow instructions correctly and best of luck, while you're at it. Why don't you hit that sub button and that notification bell as well? Alright? So let's talk about the things that we didn't like about the galaxy easy flip, and before you go into the comment section about me, taking a whack at this phone.

Don't worry like I, said, there's a lot to be excited about this device, and we are gonna, be showing it. Some love we'll take the good with the bad, but let's go with its downsides first and the first con on our list is its durability. Now I haven't spent a lot of time with the device just yet, and we haven't seen jury-rigged everything at his hands on the Z flip, but one really has to wonder about the long-term durability of a folding phone. To be fair, it does feel much better than galaxy fold that we got to review a couple of months back and Samsung does say that they made major improvements. The hinge system of the flip addressing another pain point on the phone.

We just hope that it lasts much longer than projected lifespan of the Motorola Razr, which can only withstand 27,000 folds or about a year's worth of action according to the test by CNET, which saw the fold do much, much better using the same testing methodology. Another thing to consider is the fact that well we're human. We have accidents and the fact there are moving parts on the Galaxy Z. Flip makes me a little worried about how well it can withstand beam drop or what, if the worst happens and enough force is exerted to make the flip bend in the wrong way again guys to be fair. This is a concern that we have for all folding smartphones.

Now, the next thing on our list for the Galaxy Z flip and the things that we didn't like so much is the battery one of the compromises that Samsung had to make because of the form factor of the Z flip was to cut down on its battery capacity, which is at 3300 William hours, putting it on the low side in terms of what we're seeing in most advisors nowadays, which is at least four thousand now you're, probably gonna, squeeze out at least a day with the Z flip, depending on your usage, and I'm guessing whoever is going to buy. This isn't going to be playing mobile legends for hours on end anyway, but this is definitely gonna, be one of those devices that a power bank is a non-negotiable for your EDC or every day. Carry now. Last but not least, for the cons is the price, so you're, definitely paying for the engineering that went into the Samsung Galaxy Z, flip, and I understand that it's going to be awhile for tech with foldable displays to go down in price, but eighty thousand or seventy-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety pesos is no joke. Lei and I highly encourage people to spend money wisely and for the hardware you're getting there are definitely more affordable devices that get the job done with the same or even better specs.

Alright, so I think that pretty much covers the cons for the Samsung Galaxy z flip. Now, let's talk about what I think that Sammy got right this time around well, for one I think that this is a way better form factor than the fold. Now, personally speaking, I think the fold was great for the team and I do agree that it felt more like a proof of concept that Samsung could make a folding phone. That's definitely not the case of the Z tip. Now it's not the first one to sport, a clamshell design, but this was definitely the way to go.

It folds up nice and neatly to fit your pants pocket properly, or maybe even that compartment on your backpack. That's meant for sunglasses. The overall economics are a lot better too. We can actually unfold it with one hand with enough practice, though, I would still recommend using two for safety reasons and being able to actually use it like a regular smartphone gives it a big check as well plus. The fact that in use it's fold to take advantage of some of its features are pretty cool now.

The second pro on this list is the display itself. With a fold the display was made out of plastic, which had a lot of people understandably concerned over its durability. Well, thankfully, this time around Samsung made its own ultra-thin glass. That's bendable it'll offer a bit more protection, we'll have to wait and see for a Jerry scratch test to see how much it can actually withstand, but it certainly feels a lot better than what they were using on the fold now. Just to recap, you have a six point: seven-inch full HD, +, dynamic, AMOLED, Infinity flex, display that looks up to the task for day-to-day operation and for binging video content.

Now the bezels are big, yes, but I think that's something we can expect from folding phones right now as a bonus, the UI for the flip does a great job of inform to whatever orientation you have the screen as well. Now, third, on the plus column, is the internals for this device. Now we really can't help but compare the Z flip to the Motorola Razr, since it's the flips the toughest competition in the market. That being said, we think the flip blows the razor out of the water in terms of specs you're, getting a flagship SOC, the snapdragon 855, with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of storage, so it can definitely hold its own with a big voice. In terms of computing power, it also has a nice set of shooters with 3 in total on the quote-unquote back, you have a 12, megapixel main camera and another 12 megapixel ultra-wide shooter.

Let you use for selfies thanks that screen beside it. Now for more traditional selfies, you have an 8 megapixel camera above the display too. So all in all, aside from the battery, it's a great device on paper. Now, if you're thinking of pre-ordering this device or getting it through, your local telco of choice, there's definitely a lot to consider. But if you think you can maximize all the features of the device that the pro outweighs the cost of the phone, but you can navigate through the compromises Samsung had to make and most importantly, you can actually afford the phone, then by all means go for the pre-order, but I would still wait until we or other tech, YouTubers or websites.

You visit get their reviews in now before I end. This video guys bear in mind that everything I mentioned is based off.
