Vivo X60 Pro+ Unboxing & First Glance

Hello people, how doing, so we finally have the VIVO x60 pro plus in the studio and well I'll, be honest. I'm not a huge fan of the naming scheme, it's a bit too long, but you know what I've been waiting for it for a long time now and as of many of you, because, apparently it's a very popular phone for good reason. So let's get the unboxing out of the way, and it is a very big and heavy box. So you know the unboxing is gonna, be delicious man. I always have trouble opening up these boxes like somehow or the other. I don't know, I'm not I'm not that good at opening these boxes, apparently, nonetheless, I did finally manage to open it up and well.

We are greeted by the device. As you can see, it is wrapped up in plastic, and we will get to it. It does have a very, very interesting finish right there, but before we do that, let's check out what else we get in the box because there's quite a few things we do get a card and well yeah it's a card like um. I'm not entirely sure why it's there, but nonetheless there is a case. A very high quality matte finish case like it's, it's perfect when it comes to cases next up, we have some paperwork along with the sim ejector tool, and then we have our cable.

This is actually an USB type, a to type c and then a pretty hefty charging brick right there. I believe it's around a 55 watt charging, brick and well. You know it's a pretty great charging, brick when it comes to stuff you get in the box, and then we also have not just the charger but also the earphones. I mean. When is the last time you have seen: in-ear style, wired earphones given in the box for free and surprisingly, these earphones use a headphone jack to connect and surprising, because the phone itself has no headphone jack.

Apparently there was a tiny little adapter hidden inside that box, in which the earphones were. I couldn't find it initially, and I was kind of perplexed by why we have such a disparity, but nonetheless we do have it and well it's, as I said, a very, very wholesome unboxing experience right there and then for the device itself. Well, as I try to rip it off, I did say that we have quite a nice little finish here. It's actually vegan leather, and you know, like I've, seen my share of amazing matte finishes: matte glass finishes, but this is the first time I'm using a vegan leather finish, and it's its quite something. If you ask me, obviously I'm going to rip off that screen protector, because you know we don't get along, but man.

This is quite a beautiful finish right there I can guarantee. There's gonna, be no fingerprints here. I think the x60 pro pluses unboxing experience really goes to show that, like, if a company really wants to give you a good unboxing experience for a reasonable price tag for a flagship that too they can do it. You saw right there how much stuff we can get and not just you know, regular stuff. It's pretty good quality, a fast charger amazing case and earphones like that.

That colored me impressed right there but anyways. Let's talk about the device itself. Well, the interesting thing about this one, the one I've got here is that this is actually a flagship like a real, legitimate, VIVO flagship. I say that because last year I believe I reviewed and really like thoroughly tested out the VIVO x50 pro the predecessor to this one, and that one was somewhat of a premium mid-range device. It wasn't really a flagship, it didn't have the flagship, chipset and some flagship features were missing this one.

However, it has the flagship chipset. It has a flagship, issue price tag that, in and of itself kind of raises the expectations you'd have from this device itself. Now I'm not saying that this device here is going to underperform, but it does mean that the expectations that I have, and other people are going to have well, it's going to be much higher than what we had for the VIVO x50 pro this one's, pretty SS. As I said before. Well, I think it might live up to the name, and it might just live up to being a true flagship, and there are certain reasons I say that like, for example, the display we have 1080p 120 hertz last year was 90 hertz.

So in that manner this is quite a nice upgrade. We also have Asia, 10 and 10 plus certification. I believe we have a higher brightness. So overall, the display is actually quite a bit better, and it fits right in the top shelf like right among the flagships right there. Next up, we have the cameras.

Well, this is a very interesting situation with the cameras as a whole, not just because these are obviously going to be flagship level cameras, but also because well Vito, with the VIVO x50 pro they made some pretty exceptional cameras there. As I said, it was really made for camera enthusiasts, who wanted insanely good cameras, photography cameras, obviously, but at a fairly low price. Now this one wants to compete with the flagships with a flagship price like that too. So with that in mind, I think it might actually stand a chance, because last year I had one major complaint with the VIVO x50 pro and that has been almost entirely fixed if you think about it, because the x60 pro plus here it has quite possibly one of the most insanely specked out ultra white cameras. If you remember, we had gimbals stabilization well, a sort of contraption of a gimbals stabilization in the x50 pro.

It was incredible. I personally loved it. It was amazing for video, even more so for night mode photos, because you know it helped to keep the phone stable for like seven to eight seconds without breaking a sweat. This time we have the same gimbals stabilization, but it's been improved upon, and it's been shifted over to the ultrawide camera now. Why is that amazing? Well, because ultrawide cameras as a whole have a wider field of view, so they are inherently more stable and now, when you add the gimbals stabilization technology to that ultrawide camera, and then you replace the much lower quality sensor from last year with a huge 50 megapixel sensor, I would say we have a winner here.

Well, theoretically, of course, nothing has been tested out, but nonetheless this is there's a lot of potential here and well the main camera. Technically again, it has seen a downgrade because the stabilization obviously wouldn't be as incredible, but obviously it'll kind of compete with the majority of the flagships and phones out there. But let's face it, it is gonna, be the ultrawide camera that really shines. We also have Zoom here we have both two times for portraits and a five times optical zoom. So that way you have all the versatility you'll need for the selfie camera.

We have a punctual design here, you know it's. I can't really speak for the quality yet because I haven't tested it out, so yeah camera comparisons are coming very soon, and it's going to be one hell of a ride. Comparing this one to all the flagships out there, so pretty interesting cameras here and man, it is its a pretty compact device, but the camera module is huge like it's long, if you, if you understand what I mean but anyways the battery. Well, it's actually slightly smaller than last year. We have a 4200 William hour battery.

I believe- and again this is no review. This is just you know me talking about the features and what I expect from this device. So yeah battery life might be impacted negatively because of the smaller capacity, but we'll see I'll. Let you guys know how battery stands as a whole. Now one thing that I really wished, we would do like it's.

The first thing I checked the moment I booted up the device is whether it has stereo speakers. It does not it's. It's really unfortunate that the flagship from VIVO doesn't have nice high quality, stereo speakers like the mono speaker here, it's its pretty loud. Furthermore, it is pretty high quality, but having good display and having good speakers they make up like 100 of the content, consumption experience and well, the x60 pro plus is kind of lacking, but solely so because it's a flagship. I really like the fact that we don't get stereo speakers.

It really kills the content. Consumption enthusiasm that I have another thing is that we do not have wireless charging. Well, you know wireless charging is fine. I can possibly take the downside there, but again the stereo speakers are where it really bumps me out. Anyways.

I think that's it for this. You know initial impressions' coverage type of thing. Well, I have a lot of hopes for these cameras. I'm slightly bummed out with the speakers and the lack of wireless charging. Overall, the design is tremendous as you'd expect, like I'm, I'm a sucker for great design, and this is right up there with the likes of say the OnePlus 9 pros matte finish or the s21 ultra is phantom black, but in a very different way, like you know, it's in a different category with the leather finish and everything, but it looks incredible.

It feels amazing in the hand- and it is not in the slightest slippery so with that said. I hope you guys enjoyed if you did do that, like button subscribe, if you haven't already because those camera comparisons are coming, and you do not want to miss them, and I will see you guys later cheers you.
