vivo X60 Pro REVIEW: Camera with Gimbal Technology

VIVO makes a return with their newest series and in this video I'm going to give you a closer look at both the VIVO x60 and the VIVO x60 pro here on em Juan reviews. I'm always amazed at just how much you get bundled in with VIVO devices and both the x60 and the x60 pro have a fair amount in the box, including an USB cable wired, headphones with an USB, adapter, 33 watt, fast charger and a nice see-through protective case, so the design on the x60 pro and the x60 is based on the design language of its predecessor, but still looks current and feels premium. I particularly like the feel on the back with a satin matte finishing that helps to keep those greasy fingerprints while hidden now the color on my x60 pro is in black with an AG glass with a satin finish. The VIVO x60. Has this multicolor look even though it's mostly made up of blues and purples, I think whichever color you go with both devices have a standout look now around the sides. You've got a power button next to the volume rocker.

The bottom has the sim tray, along with the USB c port and the speakers there's a prominent camera module. That's compact, given what it packs in, but more on the camera. In a moment now, when it comes to the audio Vito, are using a super linear speaker that helps to reduce the overall thickness. However, I was expecting more from the audio experience on the front of the x60 pro you've got this vibrant 6.56 inch, FHD, plus curved display. It doesn't curve over too much just the right amount, if you're comfortable in the hand- and it also has this ultra o screen for the front-facing camera.

Now the display on the x60 is more flat than what you'd find with the pro. So it doesn't have those curved sides, but it's an equally impressive, FHD plus 6.56 display now multimedia gaming and to day use on this display has been a joy. You get those punchy, colors and great viewing angles that you typically find with an AMOLED display. The display also supports up to 120 hertz refresh, or you can up with a smart rate, to help conserve on the battery life and the x60 pro also has a 240 hertz touch sampling. To give you a truly smooth screen response on the front of both devices, you also get an under the display fingerprint scanner.

That's both easy to set up and reliable day-to-day. I haven't noticed any issues with my daily use, so when it comes to performance, both of these devices are powered by the snapdragon 870 soc, and that's paired up with 12 GB of ram and 256 gigabytes of storage. Now viva have done something slightly different with the x60 series, because they're using something they refer to as extended ram, essentially where part of the idle ROM assumes ram operation to give extra 3gb of ram. Now, although the 12gb is enough for day-to-day, this feature is designed to actually improve memory. Experience and also the number of app caches can reach up to 25.

So look as far as day-to-day app use is concerned, multitasking gaming, it's all been really smooth for me on both of these devices. I've experimented with gaming graphic intensive gaming, and I've noticed a smooth experience. Games like you know, asphalt, 9, Call of Duty mobile with high frame rate performed well, and I didn't notice any noticeable serious issues with heating. Yes, it does get warm with normal use and that's pretty much expected 30 minutes or so for me resulted in around 9 to 10 percent loss of battery life. Now, as far as battery life is concerned, the x60 pro has a 4 200 William hour battery and the x60 has 4 300 Williams.

Now I'd personally have liked to see more battery capacity for my daily needs, but that 33 watt fast charger helps you keep topped up zero to 100 in around an hour with around 60 being achieved in 30 minutes now. There is also no wireless charging on either of these models, which again is something that I would have personally like to have seen included. As far as software is concerned, the new VIVO x60 series are powered by the android 11 and fun touch OS versions.11. now fun touch has certainly gone through some changes over the years and I now feel it's closer to a cleaner and stock-like android experience than before. Yes, there are a range of customizations to get you the feel that you're looking for, although there are some elements of bloatware and app notifications, but I think it is an improvement from previous years now year-on-year, VIVO have been concentrating on improving the camera on their flagship models and this year on both the VIVO x60 pro and the x60.

You get an impressive triple camera setup. So for the VIVO x60 pro, it's made up of a 48, megapixel, f, 1.48, main camera with gimbals stabilization, 13, megapixel telephoto, with two times optical zoom, 13, megapixel, f, 2.2, ultra-wide with 120 degrees of view. Now the x60 has a similar camera setup, but except the second generation, gimbals stabilization on the main camera, and you get an aperture of f 1.8, now they've also got from the branding. Here you can tell the collaboration with mass branded features such as biotar portrait mode, which basically features a circular both effect in the portrait shots. It adds a dynamic look to those photos.

The highlight here for me, though, when it comes to the camera, has been the main lens on the x60 pro, particularly when compared with the VIVO x60. Now, with that second generation of the gimbals stabilization on the VIVO x60 pro the whole lens moves around to counteract the notorious handshakes that you get with mobile devices. The end result means better quality, shots and more details, and I noticed in good to dim light great contrast, white balance exposure. Some of those colors still come across over vibrant, but this is going to be down to personal preference. The ultra-wide and portrait lens aren't as sharp as the main camera, although they still do a good job in quality, it's just that they lack the details and punch on that impressive main camera.

In my opinion, now in portrait shots, you do get good differentiation between subject and background, including for objects as well, and when it comes to zoom, you get two times optical zoom, which is actually very good. You can get digital zoom up to 20x, but there is expected noise and details aren't as noticeable at this maximum zoom. Now the night mode is impressive, too, with support across the different lenses. So people are using a low light algorithm here to help in those challenging low-light situations, and I think the results speak for themselves, they're very good. Now, when it comes to the video, the gimbals support with five axes of stabilization really helps.

Video can be recorded up to 4k at 60 frames per second, and this is going to be particularly useful if you film, while on the move. Okay, so here is a test on the video capability, so this is shot on the x60 pro, and this is the standard mode. Without the super steady mode activated as you can see, as I'm walking around, it is shaky, but when I turn that feature on check out what a difference it makes, so this is with super anti shake, and it makes such a difference as I move around pan you'll notice. It's incredibly stable- and this is the second generation of that gimbals uh stabilization, that's in effect, it makes such a good difference. Let me know in the comment section down below also what you think of the overall quality audio and this uh super stabilization on a front-facing camera, you get a 32 megapixel selfie shooter, with an aperture of f 2.5, there's a range of different post, editing options to get you the best result from your selfie before you share it with the world. So all in all both I think the VIVO x60 and the VIVO x60 pro this year is going to be seriously good considerations for those of you that are looking for a good android powered flagship with solid specs.

I think, when you factor in the below flagship price, despite the decent specs VIVO have done a good job. In my opinion, but let me know your thoughts in the comments section down below what do you think of both the VIVO x60 and the VIVO x60 pro oh and check this out over here. I'll see you in the next video over there.
