Vivo NEX Review: Notchless

Hello from Moscow I'm, Michael, Josh and you're watching gadget match I'm here for World Cup 2018. Have you seen any of the games live or on TV, then perhaps you've seen the words VIVO next plastered across the board. Bebop is keen on making a splash in the world stage and what better way to do this than by showcasing their new flagship smartphone this phone? This is our VIVO NEW review. We've already done a quick, unboxing and hands-on on the VIVO NEW. You can click over here to watch that this, however, is a review video and in it, we hope to answer some pertinent questions is the all display, no bezels experience truly life-changing. Is it pop-up, selfie, camera durable and with its higher price tag compared to other VIVO smartphones? Is it worthy to achieve a notch free display with a high screen to body ratio? VIVO had to move things around and build some features under the display, like the ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and even the earpiece, with what they call screen sound casting technology VIVO is able to transform the display into a speaker, it's cool, it works, and it serves its purpose.

But anyone else, looking for great audio on a smartphone is still better off with dual front firing. Speakers. Having said that, it's refreshing to see a design that doesn't look like anything else in the market phone with no, not and one that has a very little bezel as possible. Sure there's a tiny chin at the bottom of the phone, but it doesn't even ruin the full experience for us to be complaining and most often than not with daily use. We forget it's even there.

The only experience on the phone is great. It's also bright enough for use outdoors under the bright sunlight, but, of course, like any new smartphone with a tall aspect ratio, most videos will still get cropped. If you really to maximize that full view display and apps like YouTube- are not optimized to take advantage of this. Yet, as you can see, there's a black bar over here for the gestures, even when you zoom to fill I guess the question is once I switch to a new smartphone after reviewing this phone, well, I really miss the all display experience. My answer is no, in fact, I, don't think it's as necessary a feature as we all make it out to be when I switch back to the iPhone 10 or the Huawei P 20 Pro, for example.

The display experience isn't all that different on the mid-range next a model the fingerprint sensor is on the back of the phone, but on the higher end any access model. The fingerprint sensor is under the display a feature we first saw on the x20, UP and x21. Earlier this year, synaptic the company behind the technology says you need to press and hold to give the scanner enough time to take a photo of your fingerprint. Now. This is the part that comes with a bit of a learning curve, just like when Apple removed the home button from the iPhone 10.

Now it would have been nice if they still kept facial unlocked as a backup, but if you notice up top, there are no cameras to do that. It's hidden inside the phone and shows up only when you launch the camera app, despite giving it a glass back, neither the NEW A nor s have wireless charging. Instead, if you look closely you'll find thousands of dynamic, color diffraction units compared to bright, colors and gradients that we've seen this year, the black NEW looks rather boring for a phone from the future until it gets hit by harsh lights outdoors under the Sun and indoors, with pin lights, the phone emits rainbows like a unicorn. Apart from that, the phone looks and feels premium. The rounded corners offer a comfortable grip feels like one solid piece of glass with no sharp edges.

Definitely the most beautiful phone we've seen from VIVO having a mechanical pop-up camera has its repercussions, but first, let's take a moment to appreciate how awesome this piece of tech really is. VIVO says the camera has undergone drop and dust resistance tests and can repeatedly elevate and retract up to fifty thousand times. We did the math ourselves and that's around 137 years if he only took selfies once per day and six point eight years for around twenty attractions each day. For now, we can't say if that claim is accurate, but I can't help but feel a little uneasy. Every time my selfie camera is up, taking a selfie doesn't feel as fast as other smartphones only because the physical part of the phone moves, but if you check any other smartphone out in the market today, it still does take time to switch between the main camera and the selfie camera.

Even if there is no pop-up mechanism after getting over that wow factor, we got so used to how natural the process is so much so that we eventually forgot the front camera needs to pop up before we snap a selfie. One thing that makes the selfie camera stand out. No pun intended is how well it handles dynamic range. The AI HDR feature on the VIVO NEW is able to balance things out, resulting in selfies that look as if you had other light sources. The same AI HDR feature also works on the dual rear cameras.

It works really well, although some photos turn out over sharpened, both the front and rear cameras also have portrait mode for that both effect like most phones, it still looks artificial, but thanks to the dual camera set up, the main cameras produced more polished results in indoor and low-light scenarios. Some photos have mushy details when you zoom in, but for the most part phone does a pretty good job at capturing details and minimizing noise. Now one feature we didn't find very useful was AIC detection. The rear cameras already take good photos that you won't really feel like it's working in the background, and you don't see the changes made when a scene is detected, see more sample photos. We took around Moscow Russia and lastly, video enthusiastically happy to know that the main camera has both optical and electronics image stabilization, a lot of shots we took around Moscow, still turned out shaky, but once fixed in post.

You can get something like this with top-of-the-line specifications, the high end, any excess can run any of your favorite games. Hiccup free but Vito, says it's built a cooling system inside the VIVO NEW that ensures the phone. It never gets too hot. After 2 hours of continuous gaming, when we were in Russia watching World Cup games, we started the day at 8:00 a. m.

juiced up at a hundred percent, get coffee browse and post on social media, walk around Red Square, take a lot of photos and videos, and by the time we get back to our hotel. We'd still have at least 20% left, even with Wi-Fi constantly connected. So is the VIVO next, your gadget. This is no longer the concept phone we saw at Mobile, World Congress in February, it's a futuristic phone, and you can already get your hands on it at an asking price of about seven hundred two dollars. It's priced higher than other value for money, favorites like for one plus six and the show mimics 2s, but it does offer features other smartphones.

Don't it is a phone that you'll definitely want to show off to your friends, and it's also a phone that your friends will want to see. It's defining feature is a unique design that changes the smartphone as we know it under display fingerprint sensor the display as a speaker and a pop-up camera. Even then, the learning curve is not that high. If you do decide to get the phone once you get over, all this new tech using the phone overtime will feel as natural and as normal as any other phone you've gotten used to. We can't really say that it's the best smartphone in the market today, but it's definitely the best smartphone from VEVO, and we really appreciate that in their bid to distinguish themselves from other smartphone manufacturers, they have been able to create a great smartphone that is both innovative and full of fresh ideas, and that was our VIVO NEW reviews for more videos like this one make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel, like our Facebook page, follow gadget, match on social media and make gadget match.
