VERIZON WIRELESS | WOW !! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS !! By Tech Life Channel

Hey, what's going on everybody, this is Tyrone back with tech life and in this video I wanted to give you guys this quick update, something I wasn't expecting, but it looks like Verizon indefinitely delays the 3g network shutdown that they plan to do at the end of last year. So now we're we're early on in 2021, but according to Verizon in the past, at 12 31 2020 December, they were supposed to shut off the CDMA technology, but according to Verizon, that is no longer the case and I don't think we will get another uh date for a shutdown. I think this time around it will likely just be Verizon, releasing an article to the press that hey we are shutting, or we just shut down, 3g CDMA technology. In my personal opinion, I think there are still many 3g users on the network. Probably a larger percentage than Verizon was anticipating, even if it's 12 13 14 of a 100 million total users, that's still between 12 and 14 million customers that are on some sort of 3g device, a couple of buddies of mine. They still, they still know people that have 3g flip phones for Verizon.

So that could be the case and there could be some business cases that still use CDMA. So to make a long story short Verizon decided to indefinitely delay the 3g network shutdown, another great article by light reading from mike Dan.
