Unboxing the Google Pixel 4a 5G By mydealstash

Hey welcome back to another deal stash unboxing, it's been a little while, but hey here we go here's another one. This is the Pixel 4a 5g we're going to open this up and hopefully get it activated all right. Here's the phone! Let's check one thing before see: I think we're going to need a sim card yeah, so one moment taxa a sim card. I bought this phone actually from Best Buy, but I'm on the 18t network, and they actually have the capability of activating ATT and Verizon phones, maybe some others too, but at least 18t and Verizon right from the Best Buy store. They gave me the card, and they said they could activate it for me. But I was like it's cool as long as I have the sim card key, you know to open the phone because it's like it's a tiny pinhole it.

Actually, this phone right here comes with that. So that's cool. I think this phone also comes with a charger, a lot of phones. Now they don't even come with the charger. They come with the cable, but they don't come with the wall.

Adapter crazy right. All right, but here we go- here's the sim card. Put this here for right now, all right. Let's get this thing open, shall we? Oh, it says you can just peel interesting, okay, cool see this slides in boom shows the back of the phone okay, oh yeah! I like this little, this little pull tab here you can see it's got two lenses um, it kind of looks like it has three, but I think those other things those are like uh ones, the ones the flash- and this thing down here is some kind of laser. A thing for um like spot metering, maybe or metering.

Alright, so lift this up very carefully. So we have the phone. It feels like it's made of plastic. That's cool makes you feel less anxious. Let's see what's under here.

Oh, google pull this got the manual or quick start guide here. Excellent, all right, cool, see, power. Adapter, awesome, google for a 5g comes with a power. Adapter, that's good to know! You see it here right in the unboxing. You know it's legit, all right! Furthermore, you got an USB cable, the USB cable, that's good to know, because uh in order to plug it into a computer, you would uh need to have you have to have an USB.

Hopefully what's this? Oh, if you have an USA to USA, I think that's what this is for. You give you an USA to USA adapter. Oh, they do that's cool. So if you have an USB 8 USB, a cable, you can plug it into here and then plug it into your computer um. It would be kind of cool if this was just a mail-to-mail like if you had um see like this could like plug into your phone, and then you can plug an USB, a cable here to your computer.

It would have been neat if this was a female USB and a male USB a, and then you could take this cable and this cable and like plug it directly into the computer right that make it a little easier, no worries anything else, nope! That's it all right see what we can do, let's see, if there's any power. Oh, let's remove the screen. You ready remove the film on the top, oh so pretty. Okay, now before we turn it on. Lets uh, let's insert the sim card see here.

This is the sim card, so it's on your left. So if you turn the phone left kind of bottom left, that's where that's where that is hey. I didn't see the key wait, a minute um. They said it came with one at the best, buy store, wait a minute come on! Ah, here it is okay. So your your your sheet here, if you get this Pixel 4a, it's actually on the back of this form.

Just barely saw it. So you turn this over carefully, see that so blue sheet. On the back pinch, this oh yeah, yeah, okay, so it is there, so don't get mad. You just gotta, look really carefully! As on the back here, I like that they have a little diagram there, that that gave me a nice hint that this has a key. It's very flimsy.

It's a little flimsy. I mean it's metal, but it's I don't know it's got. If it does, the job does the job right. I'm complaining too much. Okay, so pinhole here boom.

Oh that, oh, that that that's yeah that worked like a champ like a champ like a champ or a charm. So do you have to move that? Or does it sit on there? Oh, my goodness! Oh, I think it sits on their see this looks like it might be. Uh that'd be cool, that's just a caddy. This might have to pop out, but we'll see in a sec yeah. So this is like for like old school legacy, that's cool! So they have this like.

Oh, I wonder if you could actually use this as a legacy old school, big sim card on the old phones where they had those huge sim cards. But you see you got a NATO here. Oh, that better be a NATO. Oh, it's got three pops uh. So if you buy, if you buy this 18 t card from Best Buy, you got legacy, and then you got micro.

Maybe look! This will pop off again watch carefully. This is too big still. This is like micro. This is micro, uh, sim, that's a legacy sim or just sim micro sim. And then, if you pop this again watch watch watch all right.

This is going to pop again. Its Nana's in here watch see crazy huh. What cool I know some of you are like come on. Come on Mr deal stash, oh god all day. I already know how to do this.

I'm like it's! Okay, we make this for everybody. You know, might be your first time doing it right, or it might be your 100th time, um everyone's everyone's at a different stage of their journey of doing cool, geeky tech, stuff. Oh please, that would be so cool because I've messed with some like sim cardholders in the past cradles or caddies or whatever you want to call it. It's just so hard to put in there, because it's like it's a straight donut. You can see straight through it, but if this can just sit in here like this, that would be money so to line this up.

I know this is so hard to see it's very small uh, it's easy, so you can see the pinhole on the left side, or maybe you can't just take my word for it right here and uh you're holding the caddy like this. You know it's going to go like this, because the pinhole is on the left right, correct, left, okay, so pinhole on the left, correct, and then we can take this very carefully. Like so flip. This up a little. Yeah, see that just put this in and man, I would think it would go down.

This is so scary. I hope that's right. It's weird, I would think there's more motherboard or circuitry circuit board on the bottom, and you would need to read it on the bottom, but maybe it reads it on the top we'll see if it's wrong I'll, just tell us hey, insert sim card right. Hopefully this may need to be charged. This may be a two-step video, oh there.

It is look at that, that's kind of slick. We got the um, it's like inside the screen, the front-facing camera I've heard of this and um. They have like uh if we update this later. They have like cool backgrounds that make this look like a record and that's like the hole for like the middle of the record. It's pretty clever, he's doing his thing.

He's thinking it's thinking. It's doing its thing. All right: we've unboxed, the Google Pixel 4a 5g, we've inserted the sim card. We've essentially got it activated now. All that's left to do is copy your files from your old phone to the new phone, but that part took insanely long.
