Hey guys, Sam here from concise tech and Canada, tech, TV, so cool video for you here today, google sent me the Pixel 4a, so this is pretty cool they just sent this out. It was just announced yesterday on August 3rd 2020. , so I'm going to show this to you here. I just took this out of the package that they sent it to me in, and we're going to open. This up, and I'll show you what's inside so looks like I'm not really even going to need my box opener here. You just got kind of some pull tabs there, and we'll open this up.
So we'll get this open here, so you can kind of see. You know typical uh, google, pixel branding on the box and everything on point looks cool. They got kind of like they did on some of their products. In the past you have a different color on the button for a nice accent there. But here we are so first thing you see when you open it up is gonna, be the actual device there.
The Google Pixel 4a. So you can see the uh the back camera cut out. There is more of the square shape now it looks pretty cool. I like it and uh. You know I'm coming from the Google Pixel 2.
Actually I actually bought myself before and uh used for basically a couple of years. So that's my last google device but uh this looks pretty nice, so you can see up close there. Just what that back. Camera module looks like here very subtle, with the fingerprint reader there, and then you got the Google logo down here on the bottom, so you can pull this up here. We go we'll get this off.
All right so looks pretty cool. Like I said I like that accent there. So it's like a white color. I guess I mean it almost looked a little blue to me from the start it looks pretty cool. I like the contrast from the body of the phone first thing I notice is this is pretty light.
This is very thin. I don't have the biggest hands anyway, so for this in my hands, this is like a perfect size. It feels perfect the form factor, the back. You know this actually has a pretty decent grip. Having kind of that plastic back there, you can see, you know it's going to get a little of some fingerprints on it looks like, but I really like it so far.
It's I like that form factor. This is something that you can easily get in and out of your pocket. I had recently been trying out the Galaxy Note 9. I picked up used on Amazon, and you know it's kind of refreshing to have a phone like this, where you can easily handle it. The other phone I have to have a pop socket on there to uh even be able to really handle it with my hand.
So I really like it so far, so you can see here on the top left of the screen. You have the camera for the front facing camera and then a small little speaker cut out that you can see right here on the top edge. So I'm pretty impressed how they're able to pack all that stuff in there and uh they really got rid of the bezels a lot. It looks like so on the bottom. Here you got the downward firing speakers, and then you got your type c port right there on the top.
They still keep that headphone jack. There you see on the left side, so pretty neat. Like I said I had the pixel 2, my wife has been using the Pixel 3a and I really like having a headphone jack on that phone. She likes it. It's easy to just plug in old, headphones and not have to worry about Bluetooth and connectivity, and that kind of thing, and I've been using, like I said, the Galaxy Note 9 as well, and I like having that headphone jack there, because I can keep a set of headphones right nearby and just plug it in take it out not have to worry about pairing at all and on the back here.
This fingerprint scanner is not as aggressive as like what I'm used to with that pixel 2, and it definitely makes an aesthetic difference. You can tell there as you're looking at it. Alright guys, let's move on to what else is in the box here, so you have the inserts okay. So here's all you're charging materials here. You got your charging brick, so there's the charging brick type c input on that one, and you got your type zeta type c charging and data cable there, and then here is your dongle.
This is regular USB to type c here, so this will definitely come in handy with other phones as well and for data transmission and setting up your phone if you need to transfer some stuff. So on the back of this sheet, is your sim ejector tool, so you're going to use that to get that sim card out and swap those between devices? This here is our English safety warranty regulatory manual. Then the blue one here kind of gives you an overview of you know the actual hardware and stuff kind of what we just covered setup gives you kind of quick start guide there. So you have the guys, like I said, google sent this out to me to uh, take a look at which I appreciate like I said I actually bought the pixel 2 myself couple years ago now and uh. I really liked it.
I love the camera aspect of it. That's why I bought that phone in the first place, so I'm really excited to test this one out a little more I'll, be bringing some more reviews and content around this phone to you guys so definitely subscribe.
