Unboxing of REALME 7 Pro – What you can find in the box?

Welcome, my friend is a realm 7 pro, and today I'll go over unboxing, along with the brief overview of the device, so starting off. Let's pop it open and get a look inside the box, we go so obviously nothing on the top here, just drop that to the side and also get rid of the blade that I have here there you go um, so that is fairly nice but kind of already used to it. Real me, most of the time, includes this uh these cases for their phones, which is a really nice touch, and I really appreciate it, and they're also designed to the way to protect the camera and also the screen itself. I'm not the biggest fan of this little protrusion right here for the screen. It just makes the case a little bulkier unnecessarily, but yeah now nothing else in here, as you can see. So, let's just put it aside now, I'm gonna check out the uh, the casing right at the end, but let's get inside the case.

Now there is something here: I'm gonna just drop that somewhere pop out the phone itself. So looks really nice, so I'm going to take it out there we go and put it to the side for now. Obviously, nothing really in here, then we got the cable uh. So it's type a to type c, with this yellow coding to represent well the boxing and all that stuff uh, and then this Jesus this absolute of a unit, the charger. As you can see, it's a super dash realm uh.

Now this thing comes at 65 watts. So this is a fairly chunky boy right here, and it will charge your phone really quickly, so dropping it. Aside now already done uh tests with this uh and the office and uh what they advertise. The speeds of charging are actually correct, which is uh nice to see for once, uh that it's not like an uh lab test that they're presenting you with. Let me zoom in the camera a little, maybe a little further.

There we go! So, let's just oh! I just power it on. Actually, so all it's powering on I'm going to go over the screen, which is a super AMOLED, 6.4 and 1080p by 2400 uh display with an 82.7 screen to body ratio and density of 411 pixels per inch, which is really nice. Now I'm going to mention that these specs are kind of standard at the moment in 2020 majority of the middle range, along with the uh, with the top shelf phones, came with this resolution with few exceptions, though I'm gonna quickly just skip through most of this. Now at the front, we also have gorilla glass, gorilla, glass, 3 um, and apart from the gorilla glass, it looks like the screen comes with a protection pre-installed, which is also super nice. I really appreciate that touch right here, which again not every phone, does um.

Let's skip most of this later, and we're about done. Okay, let me also max out the brightness and mute and the sound, so we're getting disturbed by this. There we go so right off the bat you can see the fairly nice vibrant display with um fairly minimal bezels, all around the only bezel that you can see is at the bottom, which is a little bigger than I would like, but it's still acceptable, especially at the price that this device comes in. The device looks super nice. It comes with the Realme UI, which is their skin for android, but honestly it looks fairly normal.

It resembles really close to, I would say one UI in terms of like how it looks like a bit, but it also feels uh a lot kind of stuck android. Furthermore, it's basically combination of those two, I would say with well Realme touches to it um. So obviously you can see runs fairly nicely, and now I believe there is no high refresh rate of the display, which is a shame, but I'm gonna quickly check just to be sure. So we have dark mode. I um display screen color mode size yeah, it looks like there is no higher refresh rates, which is a bit of a shame.

Honestly. I would really like to see a higher refresh rate display here and Realme does actually include uh, some really nice refresh rates, uh things like 120 hertz on mid-range devices, even which I personally, I really like that you don't have to spend over a thousand dollars to get a phone with a nice refresh rate. That feels still feels like it's running really nicely, but it's not the flagship of whatever like the next flagship killer or whatever you want to call it. So they make basically mid-range devices at a really compelling price. With things that I would believe, the majority of us would like to see in the device that isn't a flagship that you don't have to pay a flagship price for, but you also will get those additional or caveats that you would get with a flagship which I really like that so moving away from the display which, as you can see, it's really nice and the only thing in my opinion that is lacking is the higher refresh rate, which I would be willing to pay more for even um.

The next thing you can see is the camera. So at the front we have a single selfie cam, it's a 32 megapixel wide sensor that shoots at 1080p, 3060 and also slow motion at 120. So again, really nice sensor right there and then, if we move to the back I'll lock it quickly. If we go to the back, which I already kind of messed up with fingerprints and stuff um, let me move the camera or another game at the light. You can kind of see uh that the back here has like this kind of dual tone.

You can see it basically line right here and that goes straight down. Um separates the Realme logo. Right here from the rest, looks really nice uh. The back is in this matte mod, not really slippery thing. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but it's uh a little of a rougher, texture or well, maybe not rougher, it's fairly smooth, but it's not glass-like.

Let's put it this way, um, okay! So obviously you can see there are four sensors and I will say right off the bat uh. This is where I have a problem with this. I will test those cameras, just in a second we'll see how they perform, but um I've already seen this kind of marketing and I don't I just consider this to be a despicable way of trying to sell your device. So in reality now the other devices, in my opinion, two sensors, even though we can see four um, it has a 64 megapixel wide and eight megapixel ultra-wide. So those are the main cameras, and then we have the uh, basically useless ones which are 2 megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth.

Now those cameras are here just to rack up the count of cameras, so the phone sounds better on paper uh. In reality, I, as I tested it before the majority of the time. The for instance macro lens captures a small quality of a photo that is lower than, for instance, what you could capture with the 64 megapixel wide sensor. You can get a better quality if you capture a normal photo and zoom it in and then what you can capture with that 2 megapixel macro, but I also had one phone that I did kind of do better photos and macro. Even though it had a 2 megapixel macro, so it could be the case here: uh we're gonna, test it and see.

If that is also the case here, but personally I feel like it might not be so, let's start off by uh, getting my amazing little proper in here and launching a camera. So, let's open up camera now, I'm also going to clear the where's, my little I used to have somewhere something to. I guess I have to use my shirts to clean off the sensor here. Just so it looks clean and nothing is really making it look worse, yeah, so there we go now. This, I believe, will be just a normal sensor.

Okay, so this is the let's agree allow. So this is the normal one, and you can see it's fairly nice and now this is at a fairly close range. Maybe I should zoom out, so you can see it looks fairly nice and detailed, honestly. Now the primary focus was captured right at the bottom right here we can see it, so it's a little more blurry overly because of just how I captured the photo itself. Uh now.

Also, let's see if I am using the uh, the max resolution right here, shadow location photos app. It looks like I am okay, so this is the ultra-wide. So let's just test that test out the ultra light as well, what else we got, and we got the zoom, so that is an optical or with optical lighting room, which is a zoomed in version of the photo so just capture again- and there is a five time zoom, which actually looks like it's retaining a lot of the quality which is surprising considering there is no periscope lens or anything like that. Um and there's the 64 megapixel. Actually so it has a super separate sensor.

Um looks like, so again I'm gonna capture, one more, and I think I messed it up. Let's see because I moved the camera yep, it came out blurry. So let's just get rid of this one and try to take it once more, so 64 once more yep, I think, came out better yeah and last one would be the macro if I can actually find it. Ah, now it looks like they hit it somewhere under. It is huge, I'm blind so now that I found actually the macro lens.

Let's just remove the light, so it looks like at this range. This is the region where it will get focused on so okay. So now that I have captured several photos, let's just set it to the side uh. This is the macro uh, the two megapixel one and, as you can see, if you start zooming in it just kind of becomes blurry. I know I'm not sure if this is that visible on the camera, but it's lacking in quality.

In my opinion, right here now, moving on to the 64 megapixel, I can clearly see that the 64 does way better job at it, um so yeah. This is a better macro quotation. Mark macro so, like I said, the macro lens right here is just going to be garbage. So, as I expected, let's look at the other ones, so the 64 does a really nice photo. It's also in terms of the color wise.

It looks really nice, maybe a little too saturated, but it came out really nice. Honestly, this is the uh the macro. I believe yeah and uh ultra-wide android came out also a little bad, but in general the if you stick with the normal lenses, the sensors uh, specifically the 64 one, which is the supposedly primary one uh your photos should look really nice and also test out one more thing: let's just get rid of this go to video, make sure that it's at 1080p or video resolution there we go, so we have 4k 1080p, and we're going to go for a 60. As you can see, 4k has only 30 frames with 1080. You have the 60 and 30 and 720 same things now, also with 1080p, you can go slo-mo at 120, like I said um, so I just keep it at 1080p.60 see how it comes out, so this is just kind of like a'm going to move it around uh, which actually I don't really have much space in here for to do that. But I just try to do like a panning out and see if it can, if it won't stutter or anything.

So this is just a kind of really, really bad example of it. But namaste 1080p 360 looks solid, can't complain, looks really nice fluid no stuttering of any sort, so that is super nice, so yeah moving on to the last one. I guess I'm just going to launch the selfie cam and see how that will result with my face here, but honestly looks okay from here. Actually, so, apart from my borderline board, look yeah, the quality is really nice um, the colors are also nice uh. It did fairly good with the lighting uh, considering it did catch a little of the light.

That is right up here uh, so you can see it not glitter right here and this is the photo still looking fairly nicely exposed and everything so yeah thumbs up. This is a really decent camera right here, although let me just quickly look at something nope, that's normal because, as you can see, there's some kind of weird lighting, but it is actually bent over here. So that's why it looks weird like it's somehow bending the background behind but yeah. Oh, it's all it's just kind of how this is looking actually so yeah in general. This is a decent looking photo.

Honestly, so let's delete this and move on to the actual specifications of the device so uh it comes with a snapdragon 720 g, so you won't be getting the best like greatest latest snapdragons, obviously um, but for how much you pay for this device uh. This is running fairly nicely like I said. The only thing that I think it's lacking is the at least like a 90 hertz, refresh rate, which would have made this device be just amazing. Now you also have two variants of it. It comes with 128 gigs built in storage, and you have the option of six or eight gigs of ram.

Now personally, both of them are okay. I think six is just fine if you want to future uh proof and go for the eight gigabyte ram instead and also, let's see if we have expandable storage quickly, I believe we do but never hurts to check. And yes, we indeed have an expandable storage via SD card, along with a two sim tray, so you can expand the storage past, the 128 gigs, which is really nice as well now device also comes with an under display fingerprint sensor, which I'm going to quickly set up right now, just to see how it works. If I can actually tap on the settings, button fingerprint add a fingerprint, so let's wait the uh five or ten seconds whatever it was change it to pattern. There we go now.

The haptic feedback also feels really nice uh, based on just that, putting in the code right here. It's not it's not anything like as good as, for instance, apple or Samsung, but it's not bad. Let's continue there. We go, recommend nope there we go. So let's see how the fingerprint works.

So it's not the fastest, as you can clearly see that works better. If your display is actually already turned on. It does take a second to unlock, which it's not very, not the greatest. But honestly, it seems to work right now, as you seen after simply adding the finger. It does unlock it quickly now, as you can also see it unlocks it quicker.

If your display is already uh woken up which is kind of weird. I haven't really seen that kind of thing done before it takes a little longer when the display is asleep, but the fingerprint works obviously and yeah it's kind of nice that they added the under display fingerprint uh for the price that this device comes in now moving on to the next one, it comes with a four thousand and five hundred William hour battery um. Now the device is fairly small. Honestly with this device uh, that's the size that you have right here. They probably could have given you a bigger battery, but at the cost of slower charging, so uh Realme does tend to push the charging speeds instead of the battery capacity.

So this is kind of the normal thing, and personally I prefer to have a faster charging speeds than bigger battery and talking about charging speeds. It comes that well comes with 6 65 watt charger, which is there um? What is the super book or whatever? Let me quickly check it. It's literally written on the charger, so it's a super dash, that's how they call their charging technology and apparently, and also in practice, from testing from a different realm device that also had the same charger as it charges your phone to 50 from fully dead and 12 minutes, which is really amazing and in 34 minutes you will have your phone fully topped up, so that is basically insane. I would say I really like the charging speeds right here really well would like to see more manufacturing manufacturers. Do this um.

Personally, I just really like to see better chargers rather than pay, for instance, more for a device and have some puny, 24 watt charger uh, but yeah finishing this off um. As you can see, the device looks fairly nice. It has a spotless design um. I really personally like this dual tone back and the camera pump is fairly nice. I mean fairly minimal, maybe not nice, I'm not a fan of it, but um.

Some other manufacturers decided to now put bumps on bombs, so you don't get to see that here and also something that does surprise me is the fact that it comes with a headphone jack, as you can see right here. So if you have some kind of headphones, uh wired ones, you can plug them in no problem, and they'll work. Now there are no headphones that come with the devices. You can clearly see right here, no headphones, so you will have to have your own, but, like I said, the price for this is fairly minimal, so I don't really mind not having headphones, because even if they would include them, there would probably not be anything great. So I just prefer to not have them probably have an uh lower price tag and yeah have my own headphones and talking about the price which I've been saying that it is fairly compelling here it comes at around 280 dollars now in different uh currencies, we have about 299 uh, 299 euros or 1994, basically uh 20k, uh, Indian Europeans.

I think that so you that's how the currency is called, I'm not exactly sure. Sorry um so honestly for the price of this device. This is a decent dollar which are probably most known to me. It seems like a really nice price tag for the device and what you get with it. The cameras are perfect.

The display is amazing, like I said, the only thing that I like to see in the display is just a high refresh rate, the overall aesthetic of the device and how it performs is, as you would expect, from a snapdragon, 720 g and yeah. I honestly the price that this device comes in. I have to say I would recommend it. It's a really nice device and works really nice from what I have seen right here and well. You also, if you're, watching this so yeah uh highly recommend the device, and if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like subscribe, and thanks for watching.
