The Xiaomi Redmi 9A Review

What is up friends and YouTube. This is Chris from crisis point and welcome back to the channel, and this is my semi-in-depth review of the new Xiaomi Redmi 9a. Okay. So before we get into the review, let's get the specifications out of the way. Okay, so the Xiaomi Redmi 9a comes with a 6.53 inch, IPS lcd with a resolution of 720x1600 with a 20x9 aspect ratio. It runs on android 10, with the official mini 12 on top powered by a midi tech, hello, g25, processor, paired with a power VR GE, 8320, graphics, chip.

It also comes with two gigabytes of ram and 32 gigabytes of an onboard storage. The Redmi 9a also comes with a 13 megapixel primary lens and a 5 megapixel selfie camera both supporting 1080p at video recording. It also comes with a dual sim support with a dedicated micro, SD card slot and a 5 000 William hour battery and support for OTG. Now one of the interesting takes on the Redmi 9a is the design. It comes with a carbon matte finish which gives you that added grip, even without a case.

So we have the headphone jack up top the bottom firing speaker, the charging port and the primary microphone not down at the bottom and on the right is the volume rockers and power button, which feels a little soft, but still responsive, which is good and on the left side, is a sim card tray that houses, two NATO sim cards and a micro SD card slot. Now at the back of the device, is a single 13 megapixel primary lens, with a LED flash which is okay, but we'll get to that in a second and in front. Is a 5 megapixel front facing camera capable of 1080p video recording in the form of a notch, with a 6.53 inch IPS lcd? Now one of the key highlights of the Redmi 9a is the battery. It's not as big as the Redmi Note, 9s or the note 9 pro, but a 5 000 William hour battery paired with entry level specifications simply translates to long-lasting battery life. Okay.

So by now I assume you've noticed that there is no fingerprint sensor or scanner simply because it doesn't have one. It does come with the traditional password pin type combo and face unlock, which is still okay for security reasons. Okay, so there is, however, an interesting feature if you happen to have a smartwatch like the mi band 4 or the upcoming me band 5. You can unlock your smartphone so long as you're within proximity via Bluetooth unlocked, which is pretty wicked, especially if you want to show off with prints. I'm just saying the Xiaomi Redmi 9a comes with mini 12 fresh out of the box.

It has a ton of UI tweaks, which kind of gives you a feel of using a totally different, smartphone and summer camp, as is you'll notice that some animations for each setting has been modified and arguably the most dominant change is the notification shade, as it was broken down into two parts. Swiping down from the right side of the screen gives you the control center, which basically shows you the traditional notification shade with all the toggles for the features of the smartphone swiping down from the left is where you'll see all the notifications you've received on your device? Okay. So, let's talk about the camera. The Redmi 9a comes with a variety of shooting modes to choose from, despite having just one lens, you can tweak everything to your liking, giving the ability to get the perfect shot even on a budget which is amazing, images, look decent with good lighting, but don't expect flagship grade. Imagery remembers this is an entry-level device.

Here are a few samples taken with the Redmi 9a in terms of photography and video recording. So now the display on the Redmi 9a is pretty stellar. It's not quad, HD or anything of that sort, but for the price of what you're paying for it actually provides good quality content. You can enjoy watching your favorite talent on TikTok through your thing, sharing your passion for dancing or acting, which is great to pass the time in terms of gaming. The Redmi 9a performs pretty decent for titles like mobile legends, bang, bang you do have the option to set it to HD mode, with high frame rates turned on, but you're limited to high graphics, as ultra mode isn't available just yet now, I'm not 100 sure if it will be in the future.

But this is what the gameplay looks like on the Redmi 9a, with the MediaTek g25 running the show now here's another mobile game that is quite popular for me- Call of Duty mobile. Despite running on entry level specifications, the Redmi 9a can easily play the game with ease. There were some minor hiccups, but as soon as you get things moving, the gameplay is pretty smooth but under low graphics settings. So if you're in the market for an entry-level smartphone that won't go over 5000 pesos or is less than 100, the Xiaomi Redmi 9a is now available by the Xiaomi official store global through the shop platform, thanks again for watching subscribe to the channel. If you haven't- and if you did find this video helpful, do share the love and hit that thumbs up button and share with your friends.

This is Chris once again from crisis point, and I'll catch you in the next one. You.
