Samsung Galaxy M51 Unboxing

Hey kids, Tito jams here welcome back to the channel where we take awesome out of the box in this one. We're going to be taking a look at Samsung's new mid-range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy m51. The last time we had one of the m series smartphones on this channel was for the m31 and people called that the mid-range battery king, because it had a 6 000 William hour battery. Well, it looks like they're passing on the crown to this one, because it has an even bigger capacity, but Samsung is also calling this their mega beast on their marketing material because of its display and cameras. Now, before I get ahead of myself, let me set up the camera near the desk, so I can show you what comes inside the box. So here you go guys.

This is the Samsung Galaxy m51 I haven't touched it yet. The only thing I've done to it so far is just cut the seal on the bottom of the box. Now we have the white color way of this smartphone and of course it comes with eight gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage. Now, let's get into it, I haven't done this in a very long time in this channel, but here we go so here you have it. This is the m51 itself and, as I told you earlier, they are hinging this on three key specs.

So you have the infinity o display, meaning you have a punch hole. You have a quad camera setup that we'll talk about later and, of course, that massive 7000 William hour battery, so that's 1, 000 more than the m31. So definitely this is the new mid-range battery king. But anyway, I'm expecting this to be a bit heavy. And yes, it is a hefty boy and, as I mentioned earlier, we do have the white color variant, it's also available in black, so they went with classic colors nothing wrong with that easy to pair easy to bring around again classic colors for a reason.

But we will put this aside for now and then check out the rest of the accessories. So here you have the USB to USB cable, and then you have a pair of in-ear earphones. Let me center that for you and of course, since you have a massive battery, it's a good thing that they included a fast charger out of the box, and I believe that this is 25 watts. So I'm going to see how long that would top up this 7000 William hour battery. So hopefully it won't take that long all right.

So if this is your first time owning a Samsung phone in a while one thing that you should know is that that usual cardboard box that we get inside the box is on top of the main box wow. I just said box so many times, but here it is uh, and it looks like this won't come with a free jelly case. So keep that in mind, if you're picking up this phone, you might want to look for one so that when it gets delivered to you or when you buy it, you can already purchase some protection for your phone uh. We have to see what it's actually made of, but yeah. So here you have the sim ejector pin and of course, since you don't have a jelly case, I'm guessing that you have the documentation that's inside here, which is the quick start guide and the warranty card.

So here you have it and that pretty much does it for the unboxing experience for the Samsung Galaxy m51. Now I'm going to turn this on, and I'm going to get back to you guys gonna, set it up and see what else this phone has to offer all right. So now that I have it on and set up a little, let's take a closer look at the m51, so the first thing that you should know about this device is that it's primarily made out of plastic from the panel on the back to the frame. It's all made up of polycarbonate plastic, which is a bit of a bummer, since a lot of phones at this price range have a glass back by the way. I think I forgot to tell you guys the price for this.

It's 19, 990 pesos, as I mentioned earlier, it's a little hefty and tips the scales at 213 grams. This is something that you get used to, but I really wouldn't recommend using this to watch videos, while you're waiting to fall asleep at night you're, basically just begging for a black eye, because I'm pretty sure people are going to say this as well. You can technically use this as a weapon for self-defense. If you really have to the phone is also a bit on the wide side, but it does have more curves to it, so it fits in the hand better though it's still a phone, that's going to require some hand gymnastics to use with one hand so two-handed, kids, the m51 is also a fingerprint magnet because of the glossy finish and because it doesn't ship with a case, you are gonna need to wipe it down a lot for the button and port layout. You have the speaker grille on the bottom, with a microphone USB c port and the headphone jack on the right.

You'll find the volume rocker plus power button, fingerprint scanner on top you just have a microphone and on the left, is access to the sim tray. Like I said, one of the main features of the m51 is its display. It measures in at 6.7 inches it's at full HD plus resolution and uses a super AMOLED plus panel, which we all know I'm biased towards, because Samsung does make some of the best displays on mobile devices. The refresh rate is capped at 60 hertz, but the picture quality is as fantastic as always with bright, vibrant colors. So if you're like me, who values having a great panel over faster refresh rates, this is definitely going to be in the plus column.

For you as well as I mentioned earlier. This is what Samsung calls their infinity o display. So you do have that punch, hole to house the 32, megapixel front camera and everything is protected by corning, gorilla, glass, 3 plus, or at least that's what my quick digging turned up for its processing package. The m51 has a Qualcomm snapdragon 730, with 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of expandable storage. So we kind of know what to expect in terms of performance for this already, since this has been the go-to chip for mid-range phones for a while.

Now, just to insert a bit of news, Qualcomm did just launch their new snapdragon 750 g. I'm curious to see what the number crunching capabilities of that new soc will be like we'll have to wait and see. Now going back to the m51, we've already run a few synthetic benchmark tests and the results are pretty much in and around what we expected I'll leave it on screen for a couple more seconds but feel free to pause. If you need more time for gaming, this will have more than enough muscle to run your favorite games with a few adjustments in graphic settings for heavier titles. I did play some mobile legends on it to test it out, but graphics are capped at high with HFR disabled, but the 730 should be able to handle it, and it just might need an update to enable these settings.

As I mentioned, the headline feature for the m51 is its massive 7 000 William hour battery, and we've seen phones with 10 000 before, but those were so much bigger and designs were a lot more rugged. With this amount of juice, I could probably get closer to three days of battery life with moderate use compared to the two days that I would get on a phone with a 5 000 William hour battery, but for sure, if you're a power user, then you need to be on the go for most of the day. This is a very good option in terms of charging times, we'll have to wait for the full review. So I can really time how long it will take to top up this phone, but at least Samsung equipped it with 25 watt charging. Although if I were to venture, I guess optimistically, I think it will take around 2 hours.

Lastly, let's talk about the cameras, and we've got a quad shooter set up here with a 64 megapixel main shooter at f 1.8, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide plus a 5 megapixel depth sensor and a 5 megapixel macro lens here are some sample shots, but it's been raining so everything's indoors, we'll save our thoughts for the full review, but let us know what you think and that's pretty much it for your quick look at the Samsung Galaxy m51 Samsung's new battery mega beast again. The price for this is 19.990, pesos I'll leave a link to their flagship store on Lazada in case you want to check it out, we'll be testing this out in the next coming days and see how it fares as a daily driver so make sure you check back or visit the website to see what it can really do, and that's it.
