The iPhone 8 Plus Battery is FANTASTIC!

Hey guys, what's going on, welcome back so today, I'm talking about the battery performance on my iPhone 8 plus, so you may have seen some other videos where people are talking about iOS 11 and how the battery life hasn't been, that good on iOS, 11 and maybe Apple, has optimized iOS 11 more for the newer iPhones, but I'm happy to report that this is the best battery life I've ever gotten on an iPhone and that's something that you'll see throughout every iPhone 8 review pretty much. No one is ever going to say that the battery life on this phone is bad. If I go into settings, I'll prove it to you. We want a battery. You can see here. My phone is at 58% of using it all day.

I got three and a half hours of usage and eight hours and 40 minutes of standby. This is unheard of, so this is probably due to the high efficiency cores in the Apple, an 11 Bionic chip. It's allowing me to get over 8 hours of standby and that's only 5:30 in the evening. So I'm, obviously going to break 10 hours today of standby and over four and a half hours of usage, easy and my phone isn't even at half battery. Yet so don't know what Apple did to this chip, but the high efficiency cores are really doing a great job.

I just wish. This was translated to other devices that are running iOS 11 because I've heard that even the iPhone 7 plus and even the 6s aren't getting as good a battery life as newer devices such as the iPhone 8 and 8, plus, like you're. Seeing in this video, so iOS 11 is very well optimized on the newer iPhones for battery life. That's what this video is for. I'm still not happy with iOS 11 as a whole.

It's so pretty buggy, but I do appreciate that Apple did put a lot of time into optimizing the battery performance on these newer devices, and that also leads me to talk about one other quick thing here. People were a little upset when they came out with this new iPhone 8 plus battery, and we heard in the specs that the battery was actually smaller than the iPhone 7 plus battery people were all upset, and that's that partially comes from older smartphone days, where those older Android phones have those removable batteries, because throughout the day you could swap them out and battery size really mattered to get the most performance for today. Nowadays, that doesn't really matter. It's all the optimization of the chip inside the phone and like I, said earlier that a11 Bionic chip, the high-efficiency cores inside here, are really saving power, and I'm getting hours and hours of standby and lots of hours of usage and my battery isn't even at half yet. So it really doesn't matter what size your battery is.

It really depends on the software optimization, which is one of the reasons why I really do love the Apple ecosystem. So tell me in the comments about phone, you're using what operating system you have on it and how your battery life is. I really want to hear what you guys have to say anyway. Thank you so much for watching. My name is Mike and I'll.

See you in the next video.
