Tech it Out | Nokia 5.4 review: Should you buy it?

Nokia could be a late entrant to the world of android phones, but it has managed to create a space for itself in the market. HMD global the company behind the Nokia phones is striving to attract more customers with its new handsets, I review one of their latest handsets the Nokia 5.4, and here is what I feel about it. The Nokia 5.4 is a mid-range phone from HMD global. The phone appears to be promising, but how good is it compared to others? In this segment we find out like most Nokia phones, the Nokia 5.4 has an impressive design. The phone has a glossy gradient back, which doesn't look tacky, but it catches fingerprints easily, though it's made of plastic, it has a good build quality. The curved edges make it comfortable to hold the phone, doesn't weigh much, which makes it easier to use for long hours.

The punch hole screen adds to the neat design. The 6.39-inch HD plus display is pleasing to the eyes ideal for both gaming and watching videos. The display, however, could have been a little brighter. The touch is highly responsive, which makes it smooth to operate next. The camera the Nokia 5.4 has a 48 megapixel quad camera. The phone captures noticeable details and generates true-to-life colors in direct sunlight even indoors.

It performs fairly well. The macro mode also doesn't disappoint, but it's not the best in the range in low light conditions. The results are a bit grainy, the 16 megapixel punch, hole. Selfie camera is satisfactory. Good for video calls and selfies.

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm snapdragon 662. I didn't face any lags or slowdown issues during the review period. The my battery is one of the strong points of the phone, even with a heavy usage. It lasted for over a day. The pure android experience with a clean interface is another highlight.

It runs android 10 and comes with a promise of android 11 upgrade the dual sim phone is available in two variants: 64 GB, with 4 GB of ram and 64 GB, with 6 GB of ram, the former cost 13 999 rupees and the other 15 499 rupees. The Nokia 5.4 is available in two colors dusk and polar knight. HMD global has definitely gotten better with this new mid-ranger, but it's still far from taking on the contemporaries in this price range. You.
