HTC U19e Review, Iris Unlock, Glassy, Battery King! Ray’s Real Review

Hey guys ray here behold another HTC phone today here friendly it's not necessarily like the top top-end flagship phone from HTC, it's actually the u-19 II. It runs on a snapdragon 710 processors, with 6 gigabytes of RAM, but then still got a really well-built chassis, with one-of-a-kind, beautiful, classy, elegant design in a really thin profile, if you're into a phone. That is not that power-hungry, but then still got a top-notch design and build quality. Here you go, HTC's got you covered, let's dive right into it, alright start off with the design. It's actually got a really similar design logic, as probably the 12 plus, so maybe even the, 11 plus as well. That is actually got a dual glass panel on the front and the back with an aluminum frame, but then on the back.

You've still got a translucent glass back here, and we can sort of see the well layout Martha bought here with a Snapdragon, 710 and 128 gigabytes of storage, the design language. Maybe it's actually really similar to the UTF plus, but, as we can all see here, it's actually way more boxy, and it's actually 10 percent thinner than the 12 plus as well, is now only 8 millimeters thin combines with a flatter design in general, as we can see now on the front, the glass panel is actually completely flat, with a very subtle 2.5 D curve on the edges. Well, on the back, the curvatures also reduced significantly by HTC. Moving on to the hardware on the front, we've got 6 inches 18 by 9?m LED display on the front with no not at all and no color at all, as well of course, and then even the edges I mean the corners of it, not even a rounded corner yeah. It means no missing pixel at all and then another top bezel.

We've got two cameras here, one of the two speakers on the phone, and then we've even got an iris scanner. Here it actually unlocks her phone through your iris and then, of course, it's actually got an LED notification, light on the top right-hand corner here as well, while on the back we've dual camera setup, an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor as well. This fingerprint sensor just works um as fast as other flagship phones. To be honest. Moving on to the bottom side, here we've got a USB type-c port with USB on-the-go, support microphone and another speaker of the boom sound speakers at home and then on the right side.

We've got a volume rocker as expected and a power button as well. It's even got a dedicated texture on it, so then you'll never miss it. And, interestingly, the sim tray is actually located on the bottom left side, and it's got dual SIM support or micros expansion either one. Unfortunately, you might have guessed hit. It lacks IP, certified water and dust resistant, and it lacks wireless charging as well.

But then it does come with quick charge for and all those iris scanner proper fingerprint sensor boom, sound speaker as well. It's actually decent now it's time for the performance and hardware starting off with her software first. It actually runs on android 9 Pi, with HTC Sense. Of course, we can still see if a layout I mean the interface of the phone is actually really similar to previous flagship phones from HTC. We've still got blink feet on the left and an app tray that Scrolls fret Ellis and, of course, it's running Android 9 PI.

We've got all the gesture controls, including swiping upwards, to get to the app tray and scrolling downwards to get to the notification Tarawa and quick setting toggles as well, but as we can see, hey it's actually using the old existing navigation buttons here, but then yeah HTC Sense is still really fast, responsive and light, but at the same time we can actually get into the system and change a lot of personalized features as well, including that theme engine. After all the years it is still kinda exclusive to HTC phones. With that freestyle layout theme, it actually means we can actually swap with any sort of stickers or icons to every single lap and then move it freely everywhere anywhere. You like on the screen, I can still only find on an HTC phone. Unfortunately, the edge Sense, squeezing feature that we found on the 12 plus, is gone here on the u-19 II.

It also seems that all the gestures control like that would have to wake and raised to wake features has gone as well, but in return, we've got iris scanning here that the phone can actually be unlocked through your iris. Also, with the iris unlocked without swiping feature here, we can actually just lift the phone press. The power button faces the phone towards your face. Basically, it unlocks through the iris scanner here, almost like instantly. Okay, move on to the performance beat the u-19 is based on the Snapdragon 710 processor, it's actually a 10 nanometers processor, with 6 gigabytes of RAM, and it's driving a 1080p Eyre display.

Also thanks to the light interface HTC sends the phone actually feels really responsive and fast in day to day use. You should have no issue using Instagram Facebook WhatsApp Snapchat, that kind of stuffs, even like gaming shouldn't, be a problem. I've tried, I've, actually tried pop G as well. The phone actually handles that game better than I've expected and speaking of gaming HTC's, actually added a game assistant feature here on the u-19 e, with no disturbance, general minimal disturbance, no disturbance which is sort of like do not disturb mode and then for navigation bar lock as well. To avoid pressing the navigation bar accidentally performance boost as well screen capture and screen recording, which is a nice feature to have on the phone, but unfortunately it seems like there's no way for me to capture record my face simultaneously and last but not least, here we've got the standardized app opening speed test that rerun a standardized list of apps on every single tested phone.

So then we can compare the performance of each of the phones and here's how the u-19 e compared to other fleshier phones or maybe mainstream mid-range phone as well. And then here we've got the second round, which we run the background apps again to see if the RAM management is good or not, and here we've got the result, all in all the snapdragon, 710 processors and 6 gigabytes of RAM here on the u-19 II actually produce really promising day-to-day use performance, Facebook, Snapchat Instagram, that kind of stuff you shouldn't have any issue at home. Even my gaming as well time to check out the cameras on the back. The u-19 is actually got a 12 megapixel main camera, with an F 1.8 aperture lens with PDF autofocus support and then a 20 megapixels telephoto lens with 52 millimeters field of view, with an F 2.6 aperture lens. It is actually a 2 times optical zoom lens, but both the lenses has actually got no optical image.

Stabilization supports the main cameras might not be that impressive, but then on the front, we've got 2 cameras as well. The main one 24 megapixels, with an F 2.0 lens and 2 megapixels f2 point to a depth sensor. So then, either on the front or the back, you can actually get really DSLR like portrait mode. That's affect both effect, sort of okay. Before we check out the image quality of the u-19 ii, let's check out the camera up.

First, it's actually way more mature and features packed than I've expected. We've got n AI mode here, which is actually scene detector. It automatically detects the scene that you are shooting right now, for example like maybe like backlight pot right and then right next to the camera shutter button. Here, we've actually got an auto bouquet mode or portrait mode button. Here for the automatic bokeh mode, it actually detects affairs our main object, separated from the background automatically, but of course, we can also use the manual both moot as well, which there's our slider.

Actually, you can slide to change or adjust the level of Bouquet adaptive that you're going to get in the end and then, of course, it still got a promoted here, which also got raw support and interestingly sexually got some presents um profiles here, for example, auto you can then select and set your ISO level. Aperture I mean the shutter speed on your own, but then there's a night mode, which is a quarter of a second shutter speed and ISO 200 default, and then there's a spot mode and macro mode as well. All right move on to the image quality to start off with the bouquet mode. First, we can actually see it works, bouquet effect, his decent natural, the background his nicely separated with smooth both effect, but then I can still find some imperfections on the images, for example, like the separation of the main object from the background, I can always find some imperfections on the photos. What about for normal still images capturing the image quality is decent, but not the best colors are vibrant, I mean saturation of the photos are actually really high, that everything looks punchy and even more than true to life and say it's a little over saturated to be fair, but yeah.

Some people might prefer that well, dynamic range is also not the best. I can always see that the highlights are a little. Sort of overexposed low-light is really well captured, so only the highlights are slightly overexposed from time to time. An HTC is also known for really natural photos, as well in terms of over sharpening and I mean no over sharpening at all. Not even a hair of sharpening effect I can find how the images taken from the u-19 II, the rendering of the photos, is really natural and smooth.

I won't say it's actually on a smoother side, maybe even the softer side compared to Sony, Samsung and even Apple. Nowadays, then it's time for low-light photography and light photography. We can still find the same issue here that the highlights is slightly overexposed. Previous HTC phones tend to do this as well. We might actually have to slightly track down the exposure value with an F 1.8 aperture like brightness shouldn't, be a problem and colors are vibrant as well. There's not much noise I can find on the images, but then the level of details can be better when we've come to extreme low-light scenarios with high dynamic range yeah, the highlights are just overexposed and while the low-light, the dark area, yeah plenty of noise, definitely not the best camera, not the best low-light camera out there, but yeah usable it takes bright and vivid photos even at night.

Video capture rings also a slight disappointment that 4k 30 frames per second. It's actually got no stabilisation tall 1080p much better with a software stabilisation, but then yes, 1080p all right if you're still here. After all, these thanks, cuteness and you're going to be surprised by the front camera of this phone. That bull came out portrait mode together with the automatic Beauty effect I mean edge. Detection on the phone is perfect.

The level of detail, sharpness, color saturation, North control, brightness of a photo saturation and general level of detail, is really impressive. Even in such a duck and pheromones yeah selfie is just impressive for this phone. Moving on to multimedia experience, to start off with there, six inches 18 by 9, AMOLED display HTC is actually claiming is actually the best display they've ever put on any HTC phone yep, but that's 1080p fulled plus resolution, but I can see colors, really punchy and vivid here on the u-19 II, but unfortunately I would say it's actually a tiny bit over saturated well on the display setting, there's no way for us to tone down the saturation. Even if we were to the RGB mode from the vivid mode. The saturation is actually the same.

Just the color space is a little different. Well I'll! Let display also means you will get perfect black is completely pure black hair or by the way in sexually got HDR 10 support as well. So then yeah you can play back HDR videos on YouTube or Netflix Amazon as well, so yeah, it's actually a decent display and rate. Just listen to that speaker. I mean speakers.

The Giessen's, colorful and favorite umbrella display, as well as a one-of-a-kind top-notch HTC boom sound high-fives, because at her multimedia experience is better than I've expected. And finally, let's check out the battery life on this new 19 as well. This thin 8, millimeters thin profile, actually packs a 30 930 million power battery driving a more efficient, less power-hungry Snapdragon 710 processor, with a 1080p emulate display battery life. Elise films expected to be brilliant extraordinary, while, according to my standardized battery life test that I've watched YouTube for an hour and 50 percent brightness played Facebook for another hour and 50 percent brightness and in the end, played Baileys Ariel for another hour and 50 percent brightness as well. He is how the u-19 II performed compared to other mainstream flagship and mid-range phones.

So here's my final verdict: the u-19 is actually really well-built with top-notch build quality and a really classy elegant design. It's actually way more boxy than before as well. It's got an iris scanner face unlock support, two front cameras, two speakers: it isn't displayed a decent camera setup on the back as well, but then the cameras on the front is truly amazing and surprising. The Snapdragon, 710 processors and Arena 616 GPU combination might not be the best platform out there, but then yeah. It's less power-hungry, and it gets the job done fair enough and speaking of getting the job done, the 3930 million per battery here on the Uniting ii definitely gets the job done, maybe even more than that.

All these are packed in an 8 millimeters thin profile. Only if the u-19 he also features wireless charging and IP rated. What in dust resistance, it just would be perfect. So it's the end of my video today hope you all enjoyed watching my video today and like it. If you liked it and don't forget to subscribe, there will be more videos like this coming up soon, so stay tuned and get subscribed, see you next time.

You.
