Speed Test G: Mate 20 Pro (Perf Mode On) vs Pixel 3 XL By Gary Explains

Now, when I did a speed test G between the May 20 Pro and the pixel 3 Excel, a lot of people were surprised because the pixel 3 X L 1 and that's comparing the snapdragon 845 inside the pixel to the caring 980, which was only announced this summer. So people were asking, did I use the performance mode and I didn't I, actually use the May 20 Pro in its default configuration now there is a performance mode as you find under battery settings, and what that does be it boost the performance while sacrificing battery life? A lot of people have asked: could I redo the test using performance mode switched on? So that's what I've done. So, let's see if it changes the result. Ok, so let the mate 20 Pro on the left and the pixel 3xl on the right ? remember last time. The Killing does very, very well in the CPU test, and already we're seeing it take a clear lead here. It's obviously having a better CPU than the Snapdragon 845.

This time now, performance mode is switched on so expecting an even greater CPU and look how well it is storming ahead compared to the Snapdragon the previous time that the mate 20 did in this test was 2 minutes and one second and the pixel 3xl might one minute and 49 seconds and still the Quran 980 is clearly in the lead here. Now the questions going to become when we get to the GPU test. Will the performance mode be able to boost that GPU performance so that the mate 20 Pro can win? Both phones are now inside the 2d gaming and, as I said, that the Quran moved over to the 16th thread test mode. That's doing pretty well, it's still in the lead by quite a significant portion, and after this we're going to go straight into you to test. So this is where the rubber hits the road.

What is this going to be like and that's looking pretty smooth to start with that? A good start there by the mate 20 pro with the Mali GPU in it, and though now the pixel 3 XL is also in that same segment, and it's doing very well. It isn't yet catching the Karin 980. Let's see what happens as the test goes on, the Kirk 980 still clearly in the lead, nice and smooth, no stuttering, no artifact, looking pretty good. The pixel 3 XL is also zooming a lot, and now they're coming to that final castle scene, and they don't seem to be a bit of a struggle there. On the left-hand side on the right-hand side, we've got them catching up, and the pixel has overtaken it on believe.

What this very last moment, they're both now into the compression test. What's going to happen, who's going to get there first, and it looks like the caring has got there first, with one second one minute and 48 seconds compared to one minute and 49 what a result and there we can see quite a speed improvement there by the mate 20 Pro, and it just beats now the pixel 3xl. So if you do switch the performance mode on, you definitely get a significant boost in the overall system performance, though of course that will affect your battery life, though they might have Kerry Sims.
